for that matter i put it on here because it deserves to be heard by everyone.

One of the greatest songs i have ever heard... underrated redefined...
Beautiful song, thanks. I listened to his music from his first album onward - and of course during the Pentangle years. But it's been a long time since I heard any of his later stuff. What a terrible shame that he died so (relatively) early. Still, he had a lot of modest success, probably beyond his early dreams, and managed not to fall into some of the traps that destroyed people like poor old Davy Graham. RIP one of Britain's great folk artists.
I grew up with a group of young guitar players who all played a lot of Bert s songs as well as John Martyn - both now gone - so many beautiful songs :/
