Real butchers are more in the outskirts of Berlin. Go to Rixdorf and the a village in the middle of Berlin or go to Köpenick and you will see a completely different City. Also a Tour on the boat thru Berlin is to recommend. Have fun✌️
You Guys stay in Berlin all time now? Visit different Cities in Germany 🇩🇪.It’s easy to do.by Train,Bus .Hamburg,Munich, Cologne,Heidelberg, Coblenz,Aachen,Bonn,Lubeck, Leipzig,Potsdam Dusseldorph and Nurnberg worth a Trip.
Great video as always! Just as a little sidenote: I really do hope that you do and see a little bit more of Berlin than just eat food and visit restaurants/bakerys! And please don´t get me wrong: I really don´t expect the typical tourist/sightseeing stuff, your videos are great and entertaining the way that they are! All I "hope" is that you get the chance to see that Berlin is totally different than most other german cities and is filled with tons of unique experiences, different cultures and vibes that you hardly see in any other german, if not european city. Thumbs up as always, all the best to you and keep up the great youtube "work"! (By the way: In my humble opinion a Mettbrötchen is much better if it has some extra salt and pepper added to the onions. I even like it with some mustard on top of the met.)
I prefer Mettbrötchen without butter, butter changes the taste. Mett is kind of a "special raw pork" - it has to be super fresh and is controlled to avoid any health problems
Where does this problem with raw pork in some regions come from? Most people don't have a problem with Sushi (raw fish) or tartar (raw beef), so what? If the hygiene of the butcher is ok, it is perfectly safe. Of course mincing meat always enlarges the total surface and i prefer to have it well cooked, but i eat Mett as well.
@@dananna8614 No, "Mett" does not mean "middle". Etymologically, it comes from Middle Low German "met" which in turn comes from Old Saxon "meti" (meaning "meal" or "dish"). Via its Proto-Germanic roots, it is related to Dutch "met" ("mince", cf. "metworst") and English "meat". It thus developed from a general term for a meal or dish to a more specific meaning of minced meat (i.e. "köttfärs" in Swedish) with the most available type of meat being pork in pre-medieval wet and muddy Northern Europe.

It’s because of trichinella in pork, it hasn’t been found in Sweden for years but still have big respect for.
Morning 😊
Btw Wednesday/Mittwoch you can also say Mettwoch
Ok so mett means middle?
@dananna8614 i know constructionworkers who buy Mettbrötchen every Wednesday for work at the butcher cause it's fresh
Mettwoch sounds like mittwoch
