There is such an incredible message in this movie. Almost all of us owe debts to various people in our lives that suffered, toiled, sacrificed and provided opportunities, perhaps with no expectation of payback. If we could all feel so strongly to repay them in a way that would bring them ease, it would indeed be an honourable way to live. What a great message. Such a great example of what honour and moral character can be like.
@romelohdz let's not get ahead of ourselves now... are you forgetting this movie is in remembrance of the hundreds of interpreters who died and the thousands in hiding helping the usa fight a hopeless war on their turf? Where's their good karma?

What tortures John but also gives him life is witnessing first hand the suffering of man. He is dragged literally through hell helplessly and all he can do is witness the suffering all around him but everywhere he goes he sees Ahmed who represents mankind and our constant battle with the forces of evil. He sees this man’s every emotion in his eyes as breaks himself in half every day to carry him across the valley of death and what he came home with was the realization that his time in hell was also the only time he truly got to see the beauty of mankind in a single man. And so even though he’s home he lives in a false paradise that was granted to him through the suffering of another man and he can’t continue to live with that guilt. So he seeks to fulfill his redemption by voluntarily going back to hell so that his paradise can have meaning and not just be a paradise undeservingly given to him by the suffering of another
My favorite part of the movie because it has so much feelings to it and the score just made it even more intense and amazing. Loved how they filmed through the eyes of John
Just watched the movie - fantastic film and this flashback montage was so damn intense, I just knew someone already had to have uploaded it to UA-cam, thank you.
This scene is stuck in my head. It reminds me of Toxicity by SOAD and I have it on repeat ever since watching the movie. Also, i can't imagine the immense amount of fear that John must have been feeling during this time. To be high on opium knowing you're almost dying and running from the Taliban. Any moment could be your last. I can't imagine a worse trip than that.
The song... I love it so much, it never fails to give me goosebumps. This scene alone is a masterpiece. It perfectly invokes the feeling of a covenant, of a promise, two souls bound, to be honored. As an American... We truly failed so many of our allies, we broke that covenant. This scene conveys that pain - that moral betrayal you feel deep in your heart.
There are so many elements here that have resemblance to King Arthur legend of the world, ofcourse Guy Ritchies creations share an unqiue signature.King Arthur was an underrated movie which did not do well in commercial release but like here the soundtrack and fanastic scenes make it a cinematic delight to watch.
This scene has got to be one of my favorites of all time!! The music, the intensity, the landscape. 0:53, the slow-mo of a Taliban soldier sitting on the edge of the truck. This scene gives me goosbumps!
The most powerful soundtrack I've heard in a film recently. It made me immediately want to know who the composer is. It's the same guy who won the Oscar for "Gravity."
I had been watching that 2:22 minutes scene again again again. Because Music+Cinematography+Editing+ sound design fantastic work. Beauty of The Covenant is 2:22 min Remembered scene.
I have felt like this several times. When Fentynal's withdrawals start, your body goes into a shock. Anxiety is through the roof. Your mind gets overloaded with dark thoughts Anxiety memories. You're soaking wet due to cold sweat. It's an experience that I don't even wish upon my enemies
I am sad these marines living like these how can they sleep at night haunted by the lost of their afghani interpreter who is their mates in the armed forces
Its beeaking my heart how this Alberta Hospital in Edmonton Alberta is Treating me. I WANT TO go home i ave my Babies n Family Live Hinor & Respect. I dont have any time ir patients for all rhese games. God get me ouura here & it should be lightning faat
Just saw this. Great film. Would've been a cool mash-up if Antony Starr was actually The Homelander, and then The Homelander goes and lasers the rest of the Taliban and the whole film was actually a viral marketing stunt for Vought International
I do not think Guy Ritchie thought the movie will spark forces to fund the covenant to be fulfilled by America and Americans who served to do justice to the people who worked with them. USA done this before in Vietnam. many died, fled, left behind to rot in work camps for years. John is The US, and Ahmed is Afghanistan. US is in debt and it only get bigger. to South Vietnam, and Afghanistan. and maybe in the future Taiwan or South Korea. and the hook will tear and the debt within will eat away. because the lie is from the get go: the shot callers knew in both places and future conflicts they will not win. still they lie soldiers die and people are left behind.
Luckily the prevail government of Vietnam after war is mild, those who sided which American was given a second chance, well, anything would be better than getting hunt
One of the most powerful cinematic scenes I have ever watched.
Dude, Ahmed is badass! This scene was so good, I freaking love the score in this movie
I'm a sucker melancholic scores like this
It’s toxicity from system of a down but man I wish this song was on spotify
@@diamonddustin7664 it's not its an original score by the film composer
@@diamonddustin7664 but it definitely has that folk rock acoustic influence
@@diamonddustin7664the song is Drunken Dream by Chris Benstead, who scored the whole movie. It’s on Spotify
this scene alone elevates this whole movie to somewhere in my top ten list, i was straight balling
Especially after the afghan withdrawal I can only imagine what veterans feel watching this movie
His monologue gets me still
Very somber film especially knowing the fate of Afghanistan
They should feel guilty, for murdering innocents for Uncle Sam, as well as realising they were duped by Satan.@@jonathanramos8414
2 minute scene in a 120+ minute movie and its my favorite
mine too
I get chills every time I see this
too
Ditto!
It really is a scene that you never forget

It’s a good example of how good karma works

Beautifully put.
thanks for this view
He isn't 'dragged literally through hell', you should use 'figuratively' or 'metaphorically'. 'Literally means it actually happened.
My favorite part of the movie because it has so much feelings to it and the score just made it even more intense and amazing. Loved how they filmed through the eyes of John
Very moving scene the music just elevates it
I am hooked on to this OST
what a movie
what a soundtrack
Powerful shit
This piece of music is unexplainable. It gives me a strange mix of feelings every time i listen to it.
I don't know why I get last of us vibes from this
It's very emotional
This song sounds like a bond or brotherhood that can never be broken no matter what, kind of ties in to the premise of the movie
this is literally my favorite scene of any movie of all time… It's just really is something special
Song is called Drunken Dream by Chris Benstead
thanks bro
Just watched the movie - fantastic film and this flashback montage was so damn intense, I just knew someone already had to have uploaded it to UA-cam, thank you.
This whole Scene , Nails it !! Guy Ritchie What a Masterpeice !! Hats off
This including the "angry phone meltdown" before it were the highlight of the film for me.
THIS SCENE WAS AWESOME!
Guy Ritchie is an excellent director.

System of a down is known for their Armenian folk music influence and I could see that influence here. Very melodic
Beautiful music
Song is called drunken dream by Chris Benstead
Alot of people say it reminds them of system of a down for some reason. It definitely has that melodic folk rock feel
@@jonathanramos8414I kept trying to think of what band/song and now it makes sense after reading your comment. Toxicity by SOAD
Best scene of the movie !!!
Filmmaking at its peak ! What a score to supplement it
One of the greatest scenes in movie history
One beauty that will be added to Guy Ritchie's famous signature scenes!!!
The song... I love it so much, it never fails to give me goosebumps. This scene alone is a masterpiece. It perfectly invokes the feeling of a covenant, of a promise, two souls bound, to be honored. "There is a hook in me"
A true genius piece of cinematography and editing, best scene out of this film and such a fantastic film overal!
This scene made me so emotional, man
That score very folk rock like and melodic.
This score is everything. Loved this movie so much!
This scene will never be good as the first time I watched it. One of the best movies I watched.

Best part, plus a couple other scenes like when he discovers the traitor translator and also the Angel of death later.
The best scene of the film!
The music here hits very different ❤ the best scene in whole movie. We are able to see everything from the prespective of john 🎉
This scene has got to be one of my favorites of all time!! The music, the intensity, the landscape. 0:53, the slow-mo of a Taliban soldier sitting on the edge of the truck. This scene gives me goosbumps!
Very last of us feels too.

Goosebumps
I watched this scene twice in this movie ❤
Goosebumps..
It reminds me to keep moving forward no matter what happens
One of the best movies I have ever watched...and this is the best part..
Dude the fucking music in this movie was top notch. Elevated the story to something more then a simple war film.
Guy Ritchie best movie
Definitely my favorite part
The feeling that was eating him up can't be explained, but they just did bring you as close as possible minus the actual pains.
Bro made his own music video and plugged it into his movie, and it still worked somehow
This is like a bad fever,
There is a hook in me which you cant see but it is there.. What a scene mann !!
The best scene on the whole movie
I'm really like that sense
This scene made ahmed as he is a lead role in movie.
2190 nights of guilt I need to sleep my pity is not being able to go back to the past and fix it my mistakes, the worst pain is the pain of guilt.
Yes, the movie has a message. Plus a very sexy sergeant, omg.
This is a must watch in theaters
I like the sound behind
Mamma mia che film !!! Maybe the best
best part
This scene low key dehydrated me.
One of the great song after fury movie music
I like
The moment when gun powder was sprinkled on his face.
Ahmed 💪💪💪💪
Pay your debts
He took the watch for land nav and/or buying what they really needed later. not stealing.
That’s what u called the magic 🤍🤍🤍🤍
Mamma mia is tough
Really a great movie man finally homelander saves them
La mejor peli
I am sad these marines living like these how can they sleep at night haunted by the lost of their afghani interpreter who is their mates in the armed forces
Afghans
This song has notes of Toxicity by System Of A Down
Notei na hora rs som cativante
System of a down uses Armenian folk music so it definitely has that folk rock feel
Its beeaking my heart how this Alberta Hospital in Edmonton Alberta is Treating me.
I WANT TO go home i ave my Babies n Family Live Hinor & Respect.
I dont have any time ir patients for all rhese games. God get me ouura here & it should be lightning faat
Can you post the full scene where Ahmed saves John please
What song is this
It's Christopher Benstead as composer.
Drunken dream by Chris Benstead
Just saw this. Great film. Would've been a cool mash-up if Antony Starr was actually The Homelander, and then The Homelander goes and lasers the rest of the Taliban and the whole film was actually a viral marketing stunt for Vought International
this version somehow sounds better than the album one (ua-cam.com/video/Z-858JxvSRg/v-deo.html) ,which somehow sounds slower
it's because it's on the channel named "SLOWED Random Songs"
