@@kruegerpoolthe13th No he wasn't described as having red hair. Esau was. David was described as "ruddy" the Hebrew translation of Ruddy was Admoni which could mean two things; being reddish or red looking or being rosy and healthy. I prefer to think it's the latter because he was a young teenage Shepard boy so he'd be healthy and agile.
In my (translated) Bible it even says that he was blond. Maybe strawberry blond? He was also said to have been very handsome, but I don't find the main actor here convincing.
I like how they are directly saying 'You know the story' and so they showed so much in the trailer.... but the tone is, 'You'd still watch this.' Yea this is pretty good actually! I'm hyped tbh!
David was a Redhead in the Hebrew. But it's ok, i want to see if they're not going to compromise his Love for God in this. I can stand many things. But David was a man who truly loved God - and that should be front and center in this.
Its great to see a modern adaptation of this story because its such an epic. I hope it goes beyond Goliath though. David's story is a long one with a lot to it, including numerous flaws David himself possesed. This is one of the stories Ive wanted to see adapted into a true epic since I was a kid.
“After removing Saul, he made David their king. He testified concerning him: ‘I have found David son of Jesse, a man after my own heart; he will do everything I want him to do’” (Acts 13:22).
Amazon has a history of "rewriting" the original material to meet modern standards. They did it with "The Wheel of Time" and "The Lord of the Rings". Those were books. This is scripture. This looks awesome. I just hope Amazon doesn't break my heart again.
About time. David was the most interesting character in the entire Bible. And we need the lesson of standing up to bullies like Goliath more than turning the other cheek like Jesus and getting crucified by your enemies. Don't forget to include: the Dagon worshipers getting tumors for stealing the ark, the ark killing a large group of people for looking into it, the ark killing a man who tried to prevent it's fall, David dancing shirtless "like some vulgar exhibitionist", David's son raping his sister, all those guys who died from getting stabbed in the groin, David and Joab killing all the males in Edom, and God allowing Satan to kill thousands of people over a census.
As a Jew, I strongly agree with preferring David over Jesus. Idk what that last part is from though. Also I think there might be more interesting characters in the Bible but I don't want to commit to an answer right now.
I like how a man who is 9.5 feet tall is calling average sized men cowards for not wanting to fight him. If Goliath actually lived, he most likely had never been in one fight his entire life. Everyone would have been too scared to fight him. Which might be the reason he got killed in his first real fight.
Nah, it says he was ij fights since he was a boy. So, he probably was the hight of a man when he was 10, giving him plenty of battle experience. No one without battle experience and discipline can carry 200kg of armour and parade around a hill all day.
Being 9 feet in ancient times especially being as fit and powerful as Goliath is it really a surprise he would be full of himself lol no one wanted to fight him an he was a seasoned warrior . But Israel forgot God was behind them always and had fear of the giant.
I'm thrilled to see Bible stories being adapted with high-quality production and a strong budget! This is such an important way to spread the Word of God and share His truth with the world. A well-made adaptation can bring Scripture to life, touching hearts, strengthening faith, and reaching people who may have never encountered these powerful stories before. I pray that these films and series will be a light to many and draw more souls to Christ!

The action sequences in the story of David during his battles and the military men with him deserve to be something that is on the same level as Lord of the Rings
The battlefield shot actually looks quite similar to the Haela valley as it is now; and the mountains on the horizon are a part of the Hebron highlands. Although the positions were almost certainly reversed with the Jews coming down from the mountains and the Pelesht army coming from the West where their city-states were.

Wait why would he be redheaded, I'm unfamiliar, but I thought he'd middle eastern with brown hair, due to the place he was born. Not sure tho.
@ he’s been portrayed as having red hair by several artists throughout the years
Look up King David and you’ll probably find a rendition of him with red hair
Just checked it’s also described in the original writing that he had firey red hair
Hopefully this won’t be another of Kings and prophets because that series was just a biblical version of game of thrones
Why not ? The story of David is fuckin epic. I hope this tv show succeed and explored David reign in further seasons.
I like how they are directly saying 'You know the story' and so they showed so much in the trailer.... but the tone is, 'You'd still watch this.' Yea this is pretty good actually! I'm hyped tbh!
It''s not about the greatness of the giant, it''s about the greatness of God. Amen
David, an example of not taking life's experiences for granted, cos they later helped and shaped his future victories. ❤
This looks SO EPIC! Anyone else curious about the fire flashing over the water and the giant wave near the end? We cannot wait to watch this series!
This is really beautiful, doesn't feel like any adaptation done before about my favorite hero of faith in the bible. I hope they do him justice.
A humble Shepard boy, lol. David was trained to be a warrior.
Looks pretty good, I wonder who will be the composer.
In the Bible, David is described as having a ruddy complexion, handsome features, and beautiful eyes.
no it does not
@@rulerofkripsy9143 yes it does. you never read the Torah then.
David was a Redhead in the Hebrew. But it's ok, i want to see if they're not going to compromise his Love for God in this.
I can stand many things.
But David was a man who truly loved God - and that should be front and center in this.
@@rulerofkripsy9143 It really does.
I didnt find the word complexion in there
Its great to see a modern adaptation of this story because its such an epic.
David is my favorite. I look forward to this
Bring your rock and sling Feb 27th!
😮😮😮 WE WANT THIS TYPE WEB SERIES
That last part isn't the Book of Job, is it?
I can't be the only one wishes they did a version of Heller's "God Knows."
They actually don't have "a giant", they had 5 at this time, and this was just one of them!
Goliath also had a brother in the Bible so yeah there were definitely more
A whole story in 2:51 minutes. No need to watch it later
Everyone knows this story you ignorant.
Looks great! Def plan to watch 👏
February 27th cannot come soon enough!
Yes. Much more of this please
More to come at Wonder Project!
Looks like the production had no limit with his good it looks
This seems like it worth to be in a movie theater 🎉
I'm thrilled to see Bible stories being adapted with high-quality production and a strong budget! This is such an important way to spread the Word of God and share His truth with the world. A well-made adaptation can bring Scripture to life, touching hearts, strengthening faith, and reaching people who may have never encountered these powerful stories before. I pray that these films and series will be a light to many and draw more souls to Christ!
When i have to be tough snd strong - I don't ask God for the strength of Samson - I ask Him for the strength of David.
The inaccuracies are strong with this one
Could you name them?
Other than David not being ginger and Goliath being a lone child, can you name them?
@@FaithfulHorrorhound clothing alone is a dead giveaway, Goliath wore a “coat of copper mail of overlapping scales” (not nearly as small as what’s represented in the trailer). He was six cubits and a span (9.5 feet), this trailer clearly overdramatizes it, he’s easily closer to twelve feet. Also, Saul being the king of Israel would be wearing purple garments as was the custom of royalty. And you already mentioned two others that feel seemingly significant if what you’re trying to capture is the authentic message of the story of one of God’s greatest servants.
1. Prophet David was a Philistinian man and there was no land called Israel didn't exist back then.
2. The Sea People, Goliath and their founder Agamemnon were Greek not Philistinian.
3. Prophet David was not an unjustful man like the korrupted books say he was a kyller and an adulterer.
4. You have all been fuuled by rhe dzionists. They have changed your Bible in 1913 by a man called Cyrus Scofield to change the name of the land from Palestine to Israel, and vilify the Philistinians themselves. And as we see today their mission has succed. Except for historians such as me who reads history.
@@HeihachiMishima48 Ha I was waiting for the pro-palestinian comment that feels the need to make everything about Palestine. You guys are insufferable. We know Palestine is the origin of the world, of religions, of creations, of everything, you were the first dinosaurs, man etc...
I wonder they they’ll tell the full story of David..not just the Goliath story. David’s entire story is beautiful…the rise, the fall, and the return to glory!
I was working on a David series But spoke to Dallas Jenkins and he told me about this my script will never see the light of day too bad!
I'm sure God has big plans for you!
@@jph316 Thank you I'm actually working on a animated movie that will be big but I'm making a torch for angel studios when it's out please everyone vote for it to get funding
Sounds like he either took that "suggestion" or he felt threatened. Sorry to hear that response from him, but I'm not surprised. You have a point of view on David as well and the world deserves to hear it too.
@@jaehuff6517 Thank you It was my favorite bible story that is the first story my mom and dad told me as a little kid
@@jaehuff6517 it was called "ONE STONE"
I m so happy seeing a movie about David, it’s an important biblical story I hope they stay true to scriptures 🙏
I’d like to see a movie from the Philistines’ perspective.
Bro never had a chance against a stone flying at 100+ mph
David essentially had a medieval gun
The legacy of a royal clan that fixed and changed the destiny of a nation and an empire!
David said "You come against me with sword and shield, but I come against you in the Mighty name of the Lord of Hosts who will today deliver your head into my arms"
This should be a prayer that everyone should learn to fight against all battles on this Earth. May our mighty God bless us with faith too.
The Bible has so many important stories and lessons about Life. I'm glad this film about King David was made! I hope it help a lot of people realize some good path they can take in their own lives. We need some more good in this world.
David had red hair...but go off. Looks good
I just hope it's emotional, not just action-movie stuff.
This loooks hella good! Finally, a new Biblical epic television drama after years of none.
Um... The Chosen? 😢
Please watch the Chosen, it's so good.
Saul was indeed a man of faith. I takes lots of faith to allow David face a Goliat.
Yes! This looks great ✝️
This would’ve trended everywhere a decade ago
After Mary... Now David... who's next? Abraham, Moses,??? Or....
We’re starting the Bible Cinematic Universe with this one 🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🗣️
THIS WAS AN EPIC TRAILER
With an even more epic series to follow Feb 27th!
Bible story series about David from Prime Video. What a great day! This looks really cool!
February 27th is around the corner!
they have a nephilim
The action sequences in the story of David during his battles and the military men with him deserve to be something that is on the same level as Lord of the Rings
Definitely watching this
Get ready for Feb 27th!
Great job guys. Great job !!!!!!!! I’m so excited for this!!!!! Who is your producer ?
Prime going Jesus
The battlefield shot actually looks quite similar to the Haela valley as it is now; and the mountains on the horizon are a part of the Hebron highlands.
Although the positions were almost certainly reversed with the Jews coming down from the mountains and the Pelesht army coming from the West where their city-states were.
Goliath was The Nephilim.
A vision such as this I had 10 years ago. But happy to see it happening.
Saul was much taller and more good looking. Also, they should have started with the Judges, then the thing with the Benjamites, then Saul, then David.
Awesome! we are getting this & the animated David movie coming out this year too! Both look really good! ✝️❤️🙏🏻🙌🏻👍🏻
Looks awesome! Thank you!
"it's not about the greatness of the giant, its about the greatness of God"

Can we get an R rating on that ?
I'll watch it but I still wish to this day that NBC's Kings with Ian McShane had continued passed its first season.
Why does David look 12 years old? Which badass bronze age warriors are gonna follow that dude into battle?
That was the whole point
?? This is exactly what the story is about. A small shepherd boy defeats a giant soldier against all odds.
You sound like Goliath😂
1 Samuel chapter 17 does a great job explaining the answer to your question.
Well David was very young when he faced Goliath. So they nailed the casting.
I would love a big budget retelling of David and his war against his Son Absalom. Incredible drama
why does it look like it created by ai or else has different visula style ....
Well, I'll be damned, finally a good looking modern Biblical movie. I remember when I was a kid in early post-communist Eastern Europe we frequently had Biblical movies on the national TV around Easter and Christmas and I remember being really invested in them, even though I am not so religious anymore. Will definitely check that out and particularly curious how Martyn Ford will handle the Goliath role. Oh yeah, and it's always a pleasure to see the charismatic Oded Fehr on screen, guy is an absolute masterclass alongside Stephen Lang, of course.
"but you, you have the heart of a lion." This looks sick!
Honestly, we got chills.
we need more shows like these. Just imagine one with Noah, Moses or King Solomon for example.
Eh no I do t trust them enough with Noah.. remember the movie Noah lol yeah no.
Eh no I dont trust them enough with Noah.. remember the movie Noah lol yeah no.
Literal Goosebumps watching this!
Did you feel that too? Get ready for Feb 27th!
So I have to wonder if we are getting this now because The Chosen is so popular. Not that I am complaining.
Oh, look! It's the Biblical Version of Attack on Titan!
I hope this tv show will deliver. I hope Nolan's "Odyssey" will deliver too. I want to watch high quality movies/tv series based on classical/biblical tales. There is so much potential in them.
Sorry Amazon David was not afraid cause he knew the God that protected from lion and bear will protect from a Goliath
That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. You were not David nor did you know him at all. You have no claim to say whether he was terrified or not. For example in current military, those who are deployed are scared at certain points. Yet they still go on to other deployments. Just because David knew God was with him, it is unrealistic and ignorant to say he was not scared whatsoever
David was never scared of Goliath, please go read your Bible this ain't Hollywood, he was more bothered about what would be the benefits if he killed Goliath. Cos he had good history with God by then
@@rocky_road6616 I didn’t know David but as a Christian and having read the Bible and the story of David more than once u will know that David wasn’t scared somebody that has Jill lion and bear and went to meet the king after all his brothers told him not to does that look like some one who is afraid
Pls go and read ur bible don’t use ur human understand this is a matter that God was involve and with God all things are possible
@timothyaigbe8023 you say go read my Bible, yet you didn’t provide any verse or anything for me to go off. Can you give me a verse that explicitly says he was never scared because God was with him?
@EbenezerIdonor if you can find a part that says he was not scared I will agree. But until then we are both using our “human understanding” to understand it
One of the greatest fantasy stories ever told. Looks pretty good.
I'm really excited for this one 💯🙌🏾. David is one of my favorite biblical figures.
One of ours too...but then again, we're a bit biased.
