  • The song is entirely made of authentic vocal tics of individuals with Tourette syndrome.
    --

It is only a small portion of the video, so it reflects how it is in real life.... only a minority have coprolalia... great job I would say!

How come we don't see people in lesser developed countries, such as Burundi, Zambia, Haiti, Ethiopia, Somalia, uncontrollably yelling obscenities?

Perhaps because they are too busy developing their countries? I fail to see the relevance of your remark, because this is not a vid of ppl uncontrollably yelling obscenities but a compilation of vocal tics that can occur with Tourette's syndrom. Apparently it's needed when I look at your response.

Mary Hunter I actually think it is a very valid question. If by any means we can avoid Tourette by looking at a country's development we should definitely do it.

powermikertje Maybe the family hide the family members who are 'different'?

Erik P Heh yeah I totally did not think of that one! I just read a column about Brazil, where men leave their wife/girlfriend for having born a handicapped kid. The mother hardly gets benefits. Really tragic these things.

In the Netherlands, in the past, all the kids with 'defects' were kept away from the public. There used to be special homes for them. Sometimes the kids were dropped off there like dirty laundry, never to be picked up again. There once was a time when they were used as cheap labour too. Dumb and mind crushing boring work was the only thing 'they could do'. I am glad to say that things have changed for the better, today we try to give those special people the attention they deserve. But powermikertje, in some countries the situation is BAD. Look on UA-cam for homes in the former USSR.....
