so many great little tips, techniques, and ideas in every one of these videos. thanks for sharing --- i've learned SO much from you, both about Blender and about 3d modeling generally :)
Something you might try is a combination of subdivision and bevel modifier. Basically what you are doing, just the automatic version instead of manual. I like to set the bevel by weight so I can specify what edges get beveled. Benefit of the bevel mod is then its real easy to adjust the bevel factor instead of having to go back and move vertices. Although I've found some situations where it won't work well still and of course the resulting topology may not be good if you need to apply it.
Definitely turning up lately, all s**t I'm about to go in too.... Hella motivation, hey you ever tried to build any of those pieces based on technical drawing like seen here m.ua-cam.com/video/SvcdJwB9ltY/v-deo.html Awesome work, and I don't know how you do the commentary, s**t be funny sometimes. Nice work bro.

Number one tip I would give past me. Add more geo.
no reason to torture oneself with such sparse geo.
What about 64 verts?
the higher you go. The easier it gets.
((Scribbles in notes))
im sure you know better than to go rolling on 8s
