- I attempted to beat the world record for the largest map room in hardcore Minecraft!

This video was a blast to make! I spent nearly 150 hours with recording and editing to produce it! There was even a time when I accidentally deleted all of the footage and thought I needed to scrap it! That is why I am so proud to present the largest ever map room made fully in hardcore Minecraft to you!
There are about 7,900 maps here in case you were curious.

Sorting process (for maps)
I didn't want to cover it within the video because it was lengthy to explain, but here is how I sorted the maps to make the room. First of all, I would put about 16 shulker empty boxes inside of my ender chest. From there, I would find the location to start mapping and then put the amount of maps I needed to go in that specific direction into my hotbar. That way I would not need to count the entire time. Whenever the hotbar got full, I would put the maps into the inventory. And whenever that got full, I would put the inventory into shulkers. From there, I would repeat the process. I also had to mentally keep track of my location within the world, plus where the next row of maps would be. This entire process was mentally taxing, but effective in making a circlular map room!

My 1,275 locator map End wall on bedrock used less than 100 mb storage and isn't laggy when loaded but wish i made it lower in the world as flying by above ground is like a lag wall. looks like 5000 maps lol Good luck! (inorganicx)

I cannot be more impressed with Wunba, he is among one the few Minecrafters to be doing incredible and mind blowing things. This just tops it off the amount of time it must've taken to place them down and gather all of the needed materials, seriously incredible job man.

As someone who also digs incredibly large holes in Minecraft(500x500 down to the new bedrock) there is a fourth way to mine that’s my personal favorite. Go absolutely crazy with your instamine then clean up the wasteland left behind. 10/10 very fun
I can’t imagine doing this in creative without world edit let alone doing this in survival hardcore. Keep up the good work

I think it would be better if the border of the End map was made out of Crying Obsidian or Respawn Anchors, I believe they would make better contrast. I also think you shouldn't shy out on finding a good mod to help your PC handle this many maps. It may not be vanilla, but it's necessary for that area.

Incredible amount of work for this project. I hope it hasn't corrupted your world. You currently have the 7th longest played Hardcore world (at least among public worlds, ie. YT & Twitch creators) that has EVER existed. A couple buckets of water may save the world at some point. 😂
Not really because it's the files of the maps that corrupt the save, not the in game maps themselves
this is why i keep backups of my 8 year hc world on many usb’s so i never have to fear about losing it.

The planning of making this and then after collecting all items and then doing the most painfull job of flying and making those maps and keeping them correctly would have taken soooo much efforts

I think it's not only maps that lag the game. Item frames count as entities (or block entities?) so they make everything worse

No world corruption yet though, but the framerate is basically unplayable.
