@@TheFFsage They probably played it before the overhaul. Ultima used to be able to be killed SUPER fast and the theme would never have enough time to even start before it was dead.
Mekkah Dee Even with several premade groups, I've never beaten her. Everyone knows what to do but there is always something that goes wrong. Either the spiny gets killed too soon, Suparna/Chirada aren't dying fast enough or something else that results in a wipe every time. Hell, I was 1 shot with full health by Aerial blast, along with several teammates, while INSIDE spiny's bubble.
devildragon999 It would seem then that Suparna or Chirada were still alive when the Blast hit. Sisters gotta be dead or the Thermal High won't save you.
A.M Overby Neither one was alive, and it was only 4 or so members that died to Aerial Blast, myself included. We were all in the bubble for Thermal High but it still killed us and I was at about 4200 health at the time as a WHM. Hell, I survived that without Thermal High as my SCH with Sacred Soil and Succur up before and he only has 3700 health and a lower ilevel. I say it was a glitch
devildragon999 It's a delay within the game. There is a .3-second delay on most instant spells, buffs and debuffs. This is compounded by the server placing said effects on groups one at a time (as can be seen with spells like Protect and Succor). In short, half of your group stepped into the bubble quite literally a split-second too late.
It took me a while to get into the game a full 50 levels but this fight, this music is what changed everything for me I instantly fell in love with FF14.
Loved this theme when I beat this boss the other day (a little late to the party I know but you gotta start a at somepoint),loving the game so far, and I am absolutely *blasting* through the 100 Quests atm
Started to play FF14 2 weeks ago.. With the help of several friends who play since day 1 i was able to get to ultima within the first week and damn boi.. This is some lit AF theme for it! It is indeed a divine WEAPON and the theme makes it really intimidating
I think FF14 is just about the only game that can actually make me nervous. I sure was first time I fought Ultima Weapon. Of course choosing to be Scholar or White Mage adds it because success or defeat lies in how well you do.
Picked up the game again after apparently a 7 heat hiatus >_> I heard this not too long ago (just reached HW) and I've been searching for it since. I feel late to the party but I'm totally obsessed now. 8yrs... wow.
I was looking forward to this fight so much, specially for the theme, but the team I was in was so op the music didn't even get to the part at 2.36 D: it was so disappointing...
+Kamina1492 Best place to listen to this is in the the Minstrel's Ballad: Ultima's Bane. Kind of a pointless trial now but it is far tougher than the Praetorium version, you may still see wipes in PUGs!
Nicholas Marsh Oh yeah it was a hellish fight to do when it was released, I didn't complete it until like a month before Heavensward, and even though everyone outgeared the fight completely we still managed to wipe a few times.
Nobody knows to tank those orbs or else RIP lmao (pretty sure that was the mechanic...like you'd take triple dmg if you weren't grouped). I was scarred by the one and only time I ran it....took like 3 hours lmfao.
The only thing I hate about this dungeon is that u have to pick weather u see these epic cutcenes and follow the awesome story ending and miss the epic fight, or miss the incredible cutcenes and enjoy the fight...I want both T.T
BlazeIgnitus Its not as epic when you watch them at the inn, you dont get the impact you get from watching them in the dungeon, the best course to get both is to go in with fc mates or like minded people.
I, moreso, dislike the people who offer the alternative of going to see the cutscenes in the Inn just because they want a fast dungeon completion. It's just not the same. When you're actually running the dungeon, you see your group members in every cutscene. You *feel* like you're a part of something bigger, rather than being the lone hero as the game up to that point had you. This is why I'd highly recommend new players to find like-minded folks to group up with so that they could all watch the cutscenes and not have to hamper the story experience.
Lol remember when this fight didn’t take two seconds to beat and you could actually enjoy this dungeon ): F I It’s a shame new players won’t experience that. But at least they can watch the cutscenes
It's weird enough but every time I hear this song I wish I had the jump and charge abilities of my Warcraft Warrior in FF14.. We have the charge now but I really want to jump around while listening to this music. 1:18
Back in the day, befrore they chopped this scenario to bits, I would quite literally **BEG** the group not to pull until 1:16 You land that opening hit right along with the music? Friggen' chills, every time.
So with the gameplay for the FFXVI Garuda fight out if you listen to the fight theme you can catch some of this theme hanging out in there from the beginning part
this whole fight is so different now and yet not really, not truly. i do absolutely love the new pseudo-trial they split off the end of praetorium and then added some really cool shit to. and of course the ost is straight fire
This boss still has a special place in my heart just because the first time I fought it it was unsynced in a group of three others from my company. I was the white mage, and I was underequiped; I was able to keep up with the damage being dealt on the tank, but if the others got hurt, it was difficult to get them all. Fortunately, the tank was like level 80 and could stand up to getting pounded for a bit while I focused on keeping the others topped off and dodging all his bullshit. It was SO COOL and I still felt like a badass even though I was getting carried :P
The stress I felt as a baby Sch sprout during this fight was insane. I’m one of two healers. Success or failure depends on how well I do. My heart pounded, I felt hot and my hands trembled slightly. Glad to say I’ve gotten better since then.
I have a question for all you Final Fantasy 14 experts out there. Very soon myself and a friend of mine will come over to Final Fantasy 14 we tried the trial and we absolutely love it! But my question is what class is best suited for new players like myself? My friend has taken a liking to the Archer class and will most likely become a Bard(were coming from Everquest 2) but for myself I'm not really sure what class I should choose. I went with the Marader(sorry if spelled incorrectly)but from what I've heard they are used as off-tanks most of the time, and I'm terrible at that kind of role since I have a tendency to screw up most of the time. So, what class should I choose that would be noob friendly? Don't really like any of the tanky and healing classes since I tend to screw up most of the time. Any suggestions?
The amazing thing about FF14 is that one character can be every class, so I would recommend starting with something like a lancer or pugilist. Then when you reach the point in the main scenario which allows you to travel to other city states, run around and pick up every class you can and play around with each until level 10 or so to see how you like them. :)
Zackarco There's absolutely no class that's best for a newbie than another. It depends on how do you play and what you like to play. If you choose the wrong class to begin with, you can change for another, that's what I like with this game.
You can play every class on a single character. You can try them all out and swap back and forth. I am in the game for about a month now and I began with Summoner... That appears to be the most difficult caster class... from what others told me: Lancer, Red mage and Samurai are quite easy. Also the black mage shouldnt be too difficult.
you chose to live like a human and now... you'll die like one. "those eyes, Aaron. you have no control over them" "you ashamed of who you are. aren't you, Aaron?" "do yourself a favor and forget about her" "i won't ever forget you" "what are you going to do?"
Ultima would get totally wrecked. Even with the Ultima spell, it would get beaten before it could cast it. Omega Weapon, however, was built to contend with Bahamut. It might stand a chance, even though we haven't seen what it's capable of yet.
I don't think that ultima weapon is strong enough to contend with only one of those three. If anything, I'd say king thordan and the knights of the round are by far the strongest primals, although debatable with odin and bahamut being things. Ultima weapon is strong yeah, and built to handle "weaker" primals, but even if king thordan and the knights of the round aren't elder primals, the primals are made out of faith and large amounts of aether, the knights of the round were created through thousands of years of prayer and a massive pool of aether from nidhoggs eye. Ultima would be ashes if it fought that bahamut AND midgardormir.
Although, to be honest, I think it could have a small chance against midgard or bahamut if used in the right hands and had beaten a few primals already.
something broke in this cutscene around i'd say 5.2 or so? it wasn't there when i went through the first time around ShB's initial release, but every time i reran prae from then on, the aether current-lookin' thing was just there in that scene for that one pan at 2:27. i can't remember whether it disappeared when prae was split into prae and porta decumana, or if it was finally quashed all the way in 7.0 because i don't see it anymore
wish this boss lived long enough in phase 2 nowadays for people to hear the whole theme. last time i did it my team cleared it almost before the other instruments came in
Not sure how you managed that, considering the massive overhaul this fight received a couple patches back. Unless you haven't run this fight since before said overhaul.
@@SammehEatWorld yea thats the old ultima fight, castrum/praetorium undergo some changes and now they are a proper dungeon/trial(ultima weapon is a standalone trial now, split into castrum/praetorium/ultima trial), their boss counters are drastically different and much better experiences for new players and everyone else.

Even with several premade groups, I've never beaten her. Everyone knows what to do but there is always something that goes wrong. Either the spiny gets killed too soon, Suparna/Chirada aren't dying fast enough or something else that results in a wipe every time.
Hell, I was 1 shot with full health by Aerial blast, along with several teammates, while INSIDE spiny's bubble.
devildragon999
It would seem then that Suparna or Chirada were still alive when the Blast hit. Sisters gotta be dead or the Thermal High won't save you.
A.M Overby
Neither one was alive, and it was only 4 or so members that died to Aerial Blast, myself included.
This song gave me goosebumps when I first fought Ultima. Now that I have good headphones that plays the bass? Dayum!
Best theme they ever made. Not so great fight but I literally replayed this to hear this song.
It was a lot better when it was current almost a decade ago. Their level sync system just sucks so everything is trivial now
Beat the heart of Sabik, Oh Heart of Sabik.
1:19 OH SHIIII---
SAMME
5:08 my favorite part!
How sad is it that I've been playing over two years and just now seeing this cutscene!
Now people don't have a choice. This and CastMedi now have all cutscenes as unskippable.
Loved this theme when I beat this boss the other day (a little late to the party I know but you gotta start a at somepoint),loving the game so far, and I am absolutely *blasting* through the 100 Quests atm
God this fight was so much fun and so memorable. What made this fight even more special was of course the soundtrack
Just finished my first playthrough of ARR yesterday and this theme is simply too awesome.
Started to play FF14 2 weeks ago.. With the help of several friends who play since day 1 i was able to get to ultima within the first week and damn boi.. This is some lit AF theme for it!
It is indeed a divine WEAPON and the theme makes it really intimidating
interesting the "Weapon" reference to FF7 XD
I think FF14 is just about the only game that can actually make me nervous. I sure was first time I fought Ultima Weapon. Of course choosing to be Scholar or White Mage adds it because success or defeat lies in how well you do.
Picked up the game again after apparently a 7 heat hiatus >_> I heard this not too long ago (just reached HW) and I've been searching for it since. I feel late to the party but I'm totally obsessed now. 8yrs... wow.
No matter how many times I grind the Praetorium, this song still rocks
my favorite song of the game, its amazing
FFXIV SBB (Series Boss Battle) from FFBE JP brought me here! Thank you for the awesome track!
Swockwickdus Journey from 1-60
Still my favorite track
I was looking forward to this fight so much, specially for the theme, but the team I was in was so op the music didn't even get to the part at 2.36 D: it was so disappointing...
+Kamina1492 Best place to listen to this is in the the Minstrel's Ballad: Ultima's Bane. Kind of a pointless trial now but it is far tougher than the Praetorium version, you may still see wipes in PUGs!
+Mekkah Dee hah I did that place when game first came out I was not a happy scholar. every one was too retarded to read
Yep. So many runs ruined by the third Aetheric Boom...
>tfw you realize one of the most popular WoW video series was borderline concluded with a FFXIV song
sauce?
@@Wolvenworks UberDangers WoW Classic videos. Truly reccommended
Daaaamn! an extended version of this masterpiece would be very well accepted *0*
Best boss theme ever. Imagine this and gael
Playing ff14 for the first time and I'm loving it. The music really stands out
The only thing I hate about this dungeon is that u have to pick weather u see these epic cutcenes and follow the awesome story ending and miss the epic fight, or miss the incredible cutcenes and enjoy the fight...I want both T.T
You can watch the cutscenes in the inn. You go to the Duty section and you can watch all the cutscenes there.
BlazeIgnitus Its not as epic when you watch them at the inn, you dont get the impact you get from watching them in the dungeon, the best course to get both is to go in with fc mates or like minded people.
making a party recruitment for this is a good idea lol. I myself hate the rushing through the dungeon thing but oh well...
If you find the right party, they should wait for you. I also love the cut scenes, may have been in the dungeon before but still like watching them.
I love this part 1:18.
Lol remember when this fight didn’t take two seconds to beat and you could actually enjoy this dungeon ): F I It’s a shame new players won’t experience that. But at least they can watch the cutscenes
Objectively the best song in XIV, coming from someone who wiped over a thousand times in coil. This was the only song that always brought the hype.
So much more BADASS then the first one
Remember when people thought this was an amazing song, and then The Primals covered it for Mark-III Anti-Eikon Warmachina: The Ruby Weapon?
02:35 so awesome,
This still slaps absurdly hard!
I'm glad they gonna play this on Concert.. it's like a dream comes true
This fight is really interesting. I love run this dungeon.
Prae runs made me dull to it, but now that i listen to it on it's own.... It's pretty bloody good!
goosebumps...every single time
cant hear this song now without muttering "big fat tacos, oh big fat tacos, so biiiig"
I came here because of MyStreet
Frrrr ARRON RULESSS
I don't even care if the fight is lack-luster, this track is one of the best of all of ARR content.
The fight nowadays is pretty great, actually.
@@VideoGamerNerd I recently replayed the fight with the newer system that lets you run through with a team of npcs synced, and it was really fun!
Oh lord dat guy look like Travis AHHHHHHH whyyy memories
You could post a video about making salad with this music in the background it would be the most epic salad in the whole universe. Starting 1:18
Or change my toddlers nappy. He makes it dramatic and epic. Music would suit the situation.
FF + Choirs = something's about to go down
It's weird enough but every time I hear this song I wish I had the jump and charge abilities of my Warcraft Warrior in FF14.. We have the charge now but I really want to jump around while listening to this music. 1:18
Best in the entire soundtrack~~
So gooooooood =D Still listening to it after I quit FF14 ^^
3:28 is such a remarkable part of the entire piece. Is there a certain musical term used to describe this part?
*ear piercing laser noises*
Back in the day, befrore they chopped this scenario to bits, I would quite literally **BEG** the group not to pull until 1:16 You land that opening hit right along with the music? Friggen' chills, every time.
So with the gameplay for the FFXVI Garuda fight out if you listen to the fight theme you can catch some of this theme hanging out in there from the beginning part
this was in uberdagner's wow-video, I just noticed
this whole fight is so different now and yet not really, not truly. i do absolutely love the new pseudo-trial they split off the end of praetorium and then added some really cool shit to. and of course the ost is straight fire
I'm still here in 2021
And I'm here for the moment Aaron yeets Ein across the snow
This boss still has a special place in my heart just because the first time I fought it it was unsynced in a group of three others from my company. I was the white mage, and I was underequiped; I was able to keep up with the damage being dealt on the tank, but if the others got hurt, it was difficult to get them all. Fortunately, the tank was like level 80 and could stand up to getting pounded for a bit while I focused on keeping the others topped off and dodging all his bullshit. It was SO COOL and I still felt like a badass even though I was getting carried :P
level 80 wasn't possible when you posted this. Likely level 70. The difference between 50 and 70 is insane.
The stress I felt as a baby Sch sprout during this fight was insane. I’m one of two healers. Success or failure depends on how well I do.
My heart pounded, I felt hot and my hands trembled slightly. Glad to say I’ve gotten better since then.
This theme triggers my PTSD from the Extreme fight
Holala cette musique, les frissons OMG
La première fois, oui ca hérisse les poils
Dun Scaith grinding for MogTomes :)
you chose to live like a human and now... you'll die like one.
"those eyes, Aaron. you have no control over them"
"you ashamed of who you are. aren't you, Aaron?"
"do yourself a favor and forget about her"
"i won't ever forget you"
"what are you going to do?"
Everytime i do daily roulette msq i hope that this fight comes up
Ultima Vs. King Thordan, Bahamut, and Midgardsomor
Jamoyo The badger
oh I guess that makes sense
Although, to be honest, I think it could have a small chance against midgard or bahamut if used in the right hands and had beaten a few primals already.
Jamoyo The badger
yeah thats what I am saying. let it devour a few more primals then use it against them
01:18 battle starts.
wait a sec. has that green fart cloud ALWAYS been there in that scene?
something broke in this cutscene around i'd say 5.2 or so? it wasn't there when i went through the first time around ShB's initial release, but every time i reran prae from then on, the aether current-lookin' thing was just there in that scene for that one pan at 2:27. i can't remember whether it disappeared when prae was split into prae and porta decumana, or if it was finally quashed all the way in 7.0 because i don't see it anymore
wish this boss lived long enough in phase 2 nowadays for people to hear the whole theme. last time i did it my team cleared it almost before the other instruments came in
Not sure how you managed that, considering the massive overhaul this fight received a couple patches back. Unless you haven't run this fight since before said overhaul.
@@Skijaramaz ran it once and managed to get it into the second ultima cast right as "beat the heart of sabik" began playing, at least as i remembered
Scream all you like, you're gods can't hear you ;)
2:58 ngl that bard's a bit sussy
Man I am sick of this fight and music after hearing it almost daily for nearly 10 years
Glad this song got remixed for Dissidia NT also. One of three tracks remixed for Dissidia.
the real ones know this as the theme of aaron lycan
Aaron vs ein
2:35 I'm like five months from when I began, but man... this still absolutely hits like a truck. Even the Ruby remix and whatever don't match it imo
The summoner new theme

was gonna flame them but then I found out they are just a bunch of kids, because I hate how they ruins the comment section like a plague.
