Really interesting video! I am a new grad PT and in my clinic I struggle with all the other therapists being obsessed with pelvic rotation. I've always been more skeptical about it, and looking into the articles it looks like my skepticism is well founded. The question is how do we treat those people that are "rotated" effectively?
Hello Michael. Thank your for the comment and kudos to you for doing your research! To answer your question, I would take into account any notable malalignments but don't get bogged down in the weeds of alignment which has proven to be a baseless means of diagnosis and treatment. You are better off subgrouping your patients as the clinical practice guidelines suggest and then matching interventions accordingly. Good luck!
Thank you. The "sciencey" sounding nonsense is pervasive. You pointed out some of the problems. There are others too, for example possible safety issues wherein attempts to correct these mythical malalignments cause tissue damage including disk herniation.
