You make a good point. Her eyes in the last interviews are telling me something different though. The message continues to validate what her eyes are saying. I hope I'm wrong.
I didn't read her post. Honestly, it doesn't really matter since she's already cored *verbally* so her next jersey is Rebel Red. There is no real point in signing a LONG TERM deal for her, given that the new CBA is expiring. So, she'll be cored and have a 1 year deal and will be the starting SG next year--if that's permanent is entirely up to how the team plays next year, as she could be a champion or underperform, but we don't know. She's going to gain the most playing in Indy a "core" year and then have all the leverage for a supermax long term contract or be able to join another team in the free agency market then--with a relatively good "stats" measure going into it and should come up with the most value. Kelsey will stay at least 1 year.
@swisharcc they can't really "leave" and instead can choose to not play on their own account. They are technically franchise tagged at the maximum cap value for that one year.
It wouldn't be good for teams to core players that don't want to be there, but the cored player makes the most money that year and will have a higher value to set next contract for their own benefit. They can obviously trade a cored player and such, but it is technically retaining a franchise tag on a player.
Good Catch. I left that unsaid to get the conversation going. I believe Kelsey will leave the fever. I hope she stays. But, It's just something in her eyes when I watch her interviews that says something is missing or that she's longing for something else. It may those moments when she is reflecting on the loss of her father.
@swisharcc I never really thought about that until you talked about it in your video…the constant reminder of her father. I feel for her. I still think she’ll be back, though.
She has to ask to leave. Fever can core her and the President has said they will core her. If she leaves its because she wants to go! Fever will they get top dollar for her if they want to let her go.
I believe you have a point she is missing her dad. She would lean on her dad for this difficult decision but he's no longer with her and that makes it even harder. Sometimes when we loose those we lean on for life changing decisions and we are leaders we move when we should stay still. This is what I sense from her. I hope I'm wrong.
KM is not even close to the 'franchise player'. Nothing but blowing smoke to keep CC's backcourt partner in crime around. CC is bigger than the league at this point, so Kelly is blowing smoke.
After all she’s been through with the Fever, I don’t see her leaving. Why leave now when she’s more popular than ever. CC makes everyone better.

I can't think of any reason Kelsey would leave the Fever unless she were unhappy being the 2 guard and wanted to play be point.
Exactly! Her decision will tell us what she truly wants. If she leaves we will have our answer(s)
You seem to always have a unique take on the issues. Well done and thank you?
Thank you!

A player can leave even after being Cored though. The team will just be compensated with assets in the exchange.

Please .. she knows were best opportunities are. She resigns
Dear John, it's not you. It's me.
You kept saying “the writing is on the wall”, but you took no side with your opinion.
“The writing is on the wall. We just can’t read it.”

Exactly. Some are thinking Coring her will force her to stay.
KM WILL NOT LEAVE . SHE IS MISSING HER DAD.

I said the same thing. Kelley had to catch herself because she almost said that she was IT.
