This song changed the course of music for the next 20 years. It is still so heavy and phenomenal.

9 year old me was given a mix tape of Anthrax, Beastie Boys, Public Enemy and Suicidal Tendencies in '89 from my uncle. It was a good day when I heard Anthrax and Public Enemy's Bring the Noise.

I found it interesting that, even though the "Judgement Night" soundtrack was mentioned, and Mike Patton is among the people interviewed for this series, there was no mention of FNM.

Growing up when all this was happening and going down, I just kind of took it for granted that Anthrax was always pushing the envelope and not giving a fuck about trying to stay within the "thrash" genre. I expected them to always do something unexpected and I was always going to be open for whatever they did, and expand my own mind and tastes through their music. Looking back all these decades later and realizing how many door they opened for others to follow through and all the bands they influenced (for better, or worse in some cases) is really eye opening.

Even though I was a metal head in those days (and still are) , I grew up with rap first and when I first heard Bring the noise, followed by Judgment Night, I thought that was the craziest thing that could happen at that time. That was so great and brings up good memories. Thank you Anthrax!

I found all new respect for Thrax after BtN. I was high school and had switched schools in my Senior year. My long hair, ripped jeans, patched jacket found me immediate friends. I got asked to join a band and didn’t even play anything. End of the year we put on a music show, Band Bash, and I was made MC and put together a 3 piece, with me on vocal, and we did Fight For Your Right, Anarchy in the UK, and Bring the Noise. I have loved the stage since. And nearly 30 years later I’m still friends with those people ( none from the orig HS), still a metalhead, and still love me some Thrax.
Oow, up next Sound of White Noise, with Zombie at the Tower!

I got to see the Anthrax/PE tour at the Apollo in Manchester, England.
Sure it was a bit annoying with all the whistles the PE fans had during their show but when Anthrax came on and shit got heavy, everyone had fun. The look of surprise on the PE fans when Anthrax came on and it got loud. Priceless. But the encore, that's something I'll never forget. Everyone jumping, banging heads and just getting into the music. Awesome.

PE made two tours that crossed into new audiences and undoubtedly brought new fans into hip hop. The tour with Anthrax and later with Sonic Youth were great tours. I picked up on PE because of Scott wearing a PE shirt during the ATL tour and was a fan ever since. It was PE that made me a Sonic Youth fan because of that tour.
PE broke many walls in the early 90’s

I still remember being a teenager watching that video premiere and just sitting there with my mouth open saying yes yes and fuck yes fuck yes!!!! I was the white boy who loved heavy metal and Motley Crue. I guess you'd call me a poser at that time because I was the kid in the back with my Metallica shirt with RUN DMC blasting out of my headphone so everybody on the bus could hear it!!! Yeah boyeeeee!!!!

No shame brother. We all went through that experimental stage...but but we're still metalheads in the end and that's all that matters!

My favorite Judgement Night Song was the Mudhoney/Sir Mix A Lot joint. It was the opposite of the rest of that album, light & fun. " There goes my street credibility, y'all." Ha Ha ha!! Im ready for some Sound Of White Noise . I hope Bush gets his props & some air time. I think OG Anthrax is the best Anthrax & Bush-era is a different thing. The songs were a lot different with Johns input , overall better, in my opinion .To me its not unlike BiB era AC/DC : even though they kept their core sound, they had refined it to a point that it sounded fresh.
It would be cool to get Ian, Benante, Bush and mayybeee Charlies new bass bud Ra . For a 2nd guitarist...how about Bumblefoot ? He's an East Coast guy. Or certainly Skolnick would be fantastic , too. There, simple : White Noise Orchestra (or something much better....)

Surprising that Black people don’t really support rock bands. I mean, how many black kids would be at Living Colour shows? I wonder what it’s like today. Who are the young black rock bands or real musicians who tour today, and how many black people are in their audience? Does Tosin Abasi tour? He’s like Jimi or EVH, changing the instrument and the way it’s played, but does it appeal to a black audience?

This, along with enter sandman, was the final nail in the coffin of heavy metal. Teen Spirit emerged literally a few weeks later. A middle finger to all of the dyed in the wool metal heads, Moshers and fist bangers who brought these bands to where they were. Thank God I discovered deicide and morbid angel around this time And there was no looking back. Now I listen to porno grind.
