Gündogan recently made an interesting point which was that both teams really thrive on ball possession. The test for each team will be how well they fare when they don't have the ball. I'm really looking forward to the game and think we as the hosts will put up a tough fight against the Spaniards and will ultimately move on to the next round.
I don't understand on what basis people make Spain the titan that will destroy Germany. Both teams have had solid games so far, probably the most confident of the tournament. Spain beat a Croatia with high efficiency, who were really out of their depth in the first game. Albania were a brave opponent with a lack of quality. And the victory over the very weak Italians should also be seen in relative terms. Germany ran over Scotland, defeated a weak Hungary with difficulty but deservedly so and had a few problems against the presumably strong Swiss and very defensive Danes. Spain against Germany will be a completely different game. Two teams with exceptional talent, both wanting the ball and dominating the game. It will be a completely different dynamic. Form on the day will also play a role. A close result after the penalty shoot-out or one team beating the other 4-0... None of that would shock me. Anything is possible.
Thats the nature of noob ballers… same probably said England will win by smashing every team 6:0, that Bellingham will score 30+ goals and crack the equation for anti-gravity bla bla bla … will be a good game, Germany does better with strong teams who open up and engage, Spain like cracking teams that park the bus. I actually see Germany as a small fav. here. BUT … traditional Spain is like the only team that beat up Germany badly… could be the continuation of this, but also its the perfect stage to crack that curse in a home tournament.
I think spain and germany are the 2 best teams at this tournament - sadly the meet each other in the qf, in my opinion this should be the final game. I think it is really open, if germany manages to score early, they get even better by the minute and it will be hard for spain. if not, they get wobly at times and i think then the quality of the spanish team will be able to beat germany. BUT it will be the fisrt game at this tournament, where both teams will move forward and try to score and not one team will defend most of the time.
Germany will win this tournament on their home ground. Spain is talented but too many players on their starting eleven are by far too inexperienced to win a big tournament. The current Germany team is much more experienced and much more successful on international top level (World Cup, Euro or Champions League) then spain. Take a look at the starting eleven from the first ko round (which is most likely also the starting eleven for the quarter final). The German players have played a total of approx 750 international games for the national team of Germany compared to approx 340 of the spanish players. Germany is also packed with players who were already very successful at the real big games in international top football (World Cup, Euro, Champions League). They have 2 players (Neuer and Kroos) in their starting eleven who won the World Cup. Spain has 0. Germany has 8 players (Neuer, Kroos, Ruediger, Kimmich, Guendogan, Havertz, Musiala, Sane) in their starting eleven who won the Champions League. Spain just 4 (Morata, Rodri, Fabian, Laporte). Its not even close!!! People simply dont understand how important experience is if you want to win a big tournament! Since Busquets left spain also dont have a REAL leader anymore. They remember me of the spanish 2022 WC team. First big show and then at ko stage quickly game over for spain. Spain is a football nation which is historically always struggling when it really matters in the big ko games. This struggeling in the big ko games is their history. Its in their DNA. The only exception to this in spanish football history was the huge Xavi, Alonso, Iniesta era 2008-2012. But such a team is only existing every 100 years and THIS spanish team 2024 is not even close to the 2008-2012 monster spain. Outside these 4 years (2008-2012) spain is historically known as a notorious loser team when it comes to the REAL important and big games at the big World Cup and Euro tournaments. Their statistics during their 100 years of spanish national football team history (outside 2008-2012) is following: 0 World Cup titles, 0 WC finals, 1 WC semi final, 1 Euro title, 1 Euro final. Thats it in 100 years of spanish football outside the Xavi, Xabi, Iniesta era. They didnt reached even ONE SINGLE World Cup final outside this 4 years era!! Thats a DESASTER statistic and shows the historical lack of winning mentality in spanish national team football history! No fanboy blablabla! Just sheer FACTS!!! Germany is the exact opposite of spain! 4 World Cup titles, 8 WC finals (world record), 13 WC semi finals (world record), 3 Euro titles (europe record), 6 Euro finals (of course again europe record). You see the difference? Its not luck! Believe me: Its called WINNING MENTALITY!!!! Germany are the masters of winning mentality!!! Germany had a MASSIVE trainer/coach/manager problem during the last 5-6 years because Löw and Flick are very average coaches who did MASSIVE mistakes when they were the coach of Germanys national team. Similar to Southgate who never was/is able to bring England top quality on the pitch. But now they solved this problem and they have with Nagelsmann and Rudi Völler a great combination on coach/manager level. The current Germany has the perfect balance on their team. They have super experienced players who won everything including the World Cup (Kroos, Neuer, Mueller) and they have many mid aged players who won the Champions League (Guendogan, Kimmich, Ruediger, Havertz, Sane) and they have young generation superstars (Musiala, Wirtz). When you compare the sheer football quality of the current teams then its quite close with a slight advantage for Germany because more german players from their starting eleven already proofed that they were successful at hightest international football level. Germany is also physically stronger then spain and they even have the home advantage now! Spain didnt face a powerhouse like Germany yet. This partly unexperienced spanish team will not stand the immense huge pressure which they will face in Stuttgart in front of the german crowd! All these online fanboys simply dont understand how important experience, mentality, physical strenght and home advantage is in such a big game. Trust me guys: This partly unexperienced spain will not survive such a monster ko game against a historical powerhouse like the four times World Champions Germany in front of the german home crowd!

As a German, I think Spain has probably the overall better team. However, their defense has not yet been under serious pressure. Georgia revealed some astonishing simple ways to pass the ball through Spains defense. I am sure, Nagelsmann noted that too. Regardless of the outcome, I'll hope to see an epyc match. The tournament so far has been a real and massive party with fans all over Europe participating. The Scots, the Turks, the Dutch and hell, even the Brits have been absolutely hilarious to watch and have fun with. As well as all the others, I didn't name. Congrats and welcome to Germany for a big football party!

I believe this is going the be the start of decade long rivalry between spain and germany. Looking at the young bloods they have I can't see these two teams not win a single trophy in the next 10 years. Regarding friday, I think spain will win it but as long as it's an epic match I will be happy. Just wanted to point out something that (I believe) only germans know and that's how much chemestry that german team has. They are very present on social media and the chemistry is palpable. I can't see them have bad years ahead of them, they are going to rise and shine very soon.
I want them to really go head to head and see who comes out on top! Germany have tried before to challenge them in an actual football match, not just straight up fight the Spanish ( thinking of the difference in approach Germany and the Netherlands took in 2010) and failed.
We all expect to loose against Spain, but we are hoping for a good game, where we can be beaten with our heads up high! The winner of this match will go on to the finals!
No one expect Germany to lose against Spain, wdym, everyone expect Spain lose to Germany, but I hope Spain can beat Germany, as a Spaniard, o want to win but also I hope to see a epic game
Lol! When you say "we all expect to lose", then I hope that you dont speak for the germans. Go to kicker de 54% are saying Germany will win! So you talk nonsense! I hope you will be right - this is gonna be a real hard test for germany- I agree that iif they pass this test, thèy have an excellent chance to go all the way to glory- friday will tell
for context, I'm german and tbh I don't think we will win, but ofc I hope we would, germany vs. austria in the finale would be crazy if u think about it, rly wish that would happen, but there are still a lot of games before that could be a thing.

Spain Tiki Taka is a thing of the past, they even had less ball possession than the opponent in the group stages, something that didn‘t happen for like 20 years.
Spain don’t play tiki taka. Those were good times when many La Masia graduates played in the national team. How many in starting 11 are from La Masia? 1 . Sure there are few more on the bench.
Spain love having the ball too much. Even their club side stars are not used to otherwise. Also Spain very undersized which will hurt them against a team that creates a lot of set pieces . GER for the win 3-1.
@@chrisb2942 No team is perfect, but they have displayed the best football so far and by far. That does not guarantee them a win against Germany, bc football tournaments are the way they are.
As long as Havertz can finish his chances this game, I think Germany will win this game. Should be a great mouth watering game, both teams are so good. Let’s go Germany 🇩🇪
I need someone more educated than me to explain why Wirtz shouldn’t start. If not over Sane could they bench Kross or Andrich for him? I feel like Wirtz is too creative to be left out of the starting 11 for this game
Spain was the one team I wanted to avoid as a Deutsch supporter. But now the closer we get to match-day, the more I’m believing that Germany will come out on top 💪🇩🇪🏆

Spain is good and most likely in the top 3. But we should not forget that even though Spain has won against Italy and crotia these teams weren't what they used to be and now have bigger names than performance. So I think the Spanish team is a bit overrated but still a fifty fifty chance.
Not so many goals in late stages of tournaments. Each goal is a lot of work against each of those pro teams. 2:1 tops, probably close, probably Spain. And no real loser. Germans team already so much better than the last years. It'll be alright. Same goes other way round. Both team played great and everyone could see it.

It will be hard to play against a defense that have been to the finals of a league and been playing spanish football like rudiger I feel like he will be a 8.9 in this game i believe Andrich will score and Sane and thus Musiala, we will torment Spain for sure on counter attack bundasleague is getting better now
If Spain can improve their defense, anything can happen. Btw, Spain were never among the favourites. Germany were and so were England... and their football has been rubbish so far. The real final is going to be Germany-Spain, for sure, the best two teams of the tournament.
I'd argue Germany was at the same space like Spain before the tournaments in regards to favourites. They just recently came back into spotlight with the wins against France and Netherlands ... nothing before that really said favourites.
As a German. Are confidence is SKY HIGH. And morale is high after such a depressing German era failing to get out of the group stage but we are now finally happy and so are the players. I think maybe Germany could pull a upset and do a Morocco all over again. I’m thinking a very close game either 2:1 German victory or 1:0 germany or even 0:1 Spain
My new Favourite Player is Güdongügang XD He is Called Gün-Doh-Gahn I know German names for example Kimmich Andricht und Mittelstädt are hard to pronounce but Gündogan isnt that difficult. Good Video tho ❤
Germany will loss do not favor a team look at football how can Germany score 3 goals against Spain whilst they failed to do so against weaker teams like Switzerland and Denmark. Switzerland almost beat them 2 - 1, according to the stats Spain will beat Germany its clear
because all of these teams were defending deep, Germany won against France and Netherlands in test games because they opened space since they were also playing for ball possession. Also Spain also just scored one own goal against Italy and just one goal against Albania. Croatia were too old and underwhelming and Georgia got lucky to even come so far. Football is dynamic and much deeper than just recent match performances, anything can happen. Both teams could potentially smash the other or both teams have a bad day and dont hit the goal. I'd say it's 50-50
Anything can happen with this one. However, for the sake of predictions: España gets an early goal, Germany opens up the defense in hope to level, in return España opens up the flood gates and it’s a massacre. España 5-1 Germany.
I do think Spain and Germany are the two strongest teams in the tournament right now, The Netherlands also looked really strong yesterday however. I think if they can keep that form then they will be a favorite for that side‘s spot in the final. Will be exciting!
Spain is not a nation, but a State "prison of nations" where one of its nations "Castille" has self-determined itself as "Spain" and maintains other nations "Catalans countries" , "Euskal Herria" , "Galiza" as prisoner nations and doesn't allow them to participate in sporting events. I hope Germany wins.

You clearly haven’t read any of the comments under the German football channels 😂
Well said sir!

Agreed. If Germany win against Spain - They will win the tournament.
Dude if germany wins then they will put entire europe on notice.
Big if though
Claro, ya no quedaría ningún otro equipo realmente bueno.
Do not forget France. Attacking teams are a welcome victim to their defensive counter attack style.

On the other hand Germany almost never won against Spain in a big tournament

@@JoseAntonio-oy9ll I had a dream... Mr. Nagelsmann called me. He said: Let them run...

I hope you will be right - this is gonna be a real hard test for germany- I agree that iif they pass this test, thèy have an excellent chance to go all the way to glory- friday will tell
for context, I'm german and tbh I don't think we will win, but ofc I hope we would, germany vs. austria in the finale would be crazy if u think about it, rly wish that would happen, but there are still a lot of games before that could be a thing.
austria xd
Man!!! You wanna be a german??? Germany will win this tournament on their home ground. Spain is talented but too many players on their starting eleven are by far too inexperienced to win a big tournament. The current Germany team is much more experienced and much more successful on international top level (World Cup, Euro or Champions League) then spain. Take a look at the starting eleven from the first ko round (which is most likely also the starting eleven for the quarter final). The German players have played a total of approx 750 international games for the national team of Germany compared to approx 340 of the spanish players. They remember me of the spanish 2022 WC team. First big show and then at ko stage quickly game over for spain. Spanish tiki taka vs German gegenpressing, which tactic will win?? I personally believe it will be the spanish.
Spain is the favorite. In Germany WE 🇩🇪 never saw a win against Spain for nearly 40 years! We are the Underdog.
Both are good teams, let's see if the referee and the var are partial because in the last match of germany it was a little bit embarrassing.
Spain is gonna win and this comment will age like wine.
Well see Abt that 😂
@@The1JordanJohnson Turns out i was right thanks to the english ref not giving a 100% penalty. Thanks england
Spain love having the ball too much. Even their club side stars are not used to otherwise. Also Spain very undersized which will hurt them against a team that creates a lot of set pieces . GER for the win 3-1.
Most likely gonna be the best game in this tournament, I'm looking forward to it!
You have forgotten that "your boys" play at home, so the refereeing is going to be a factor in their favour, as well as the atmosphere.
Refereeing was never in favour of the Germans whole tourney. They got just the absolut minimum andon most parts the VAR needed to force it.
The UEFA refereeing board is led by Spanish and Italian folks. This means refs against the supporters.

Germany for the win..
That's my guess too. It will be a great football match.

The two french man in the Spanish team worry me. They've got better defenders than them and I think there inclusion may be a mistake.
As long as Havertz can finish his chances this game, I think Germany will win this game. Should be a great mouth watering game, both teams are so good. Let’s go Germany 🇩🇪
Spain 5-1 Germany
Spain 1-2 Germany ❤❤

Unai Simon, Carvajal, Lenormand, Nacho, Grimaldo, Rodri, Fabián, Olmo, Williams, Joselu, Yamal

I agree. Being able to perform under huge pressure is key.
It will be hard to play against a defense that have been to the finals of a league and been playing spanish football like rudiger I feel like he will be a 8.9 in this game i believe Andrich will score and Sane and thus Musiala, we will torment Spain for sure on counter attack bundasleague is getting better now
7:1 Germany and that's being generous!

Germany will loss do not favor a team look at football how can Germany score 3 goals against Spain whilst they failed to do so against weaker teams like Switzerland and Denmark. Switzerland almost beat them 2 - 1, according to the stats Spain will beat Germany its clear
Well, I hope you will not fall into a depression if it goes the other way around...
Switzerland had an expected goals ratio of 0.73 against germanys 1.54.
So actually germany almost beat them 2-1 according to the stats.
because all of these teams were defending deep, Germany won against France and Netherlands in test games because they opened space since they were also playing for ball possession.
Bro switzerland would clap spain. They beat 2:0 italy. And even denmark is stronger than every Opponent that spain had
Switzerland is a tough cookie.
Spain 4:2 Germany
Anything can happen with this one. However, for the sake of predictions: España gets an early goal, Germany opens up the defense in hope to level, in return España opens up the flood gates and it’s a massacre. España 5-1 Germany.
Agree
Hahahahahaha, I would love that, tbh.
And the same scenario u can say about if Germany scores the first goal, then they counter with Musiala and Sane. Germany 5-1 Spain.
