Thanks for your comment! Yes it can melt brass, copper, and aluminum. To pour I use crucible tongues. I have 2 pair for different sizes. I hope this helps!
Purchased the same Lava Forge furnace, just with different burners (they look slightly different) - it´s absolutely speeding on Tin and Zinc (never tried Aluminium, that doesn´t speak to me somehow, as I make art stuff at most) , but it´s struggling with Copper and Bronze, fiddling around with the settings still to get it working
@lindimaitar i have only melted aluminum, brass, and copper from scraps. I have not made anything yet. I would love to do some Nordic gold though! Also I wanma do ant hill castings as well.
It all depends on how long your melt is and what you are melting. I get around 4 to 5 melts I guess. Never really payed attention to that. Aluminum uses less than copper and brass due to the melting temperature differences. I hope this helps!
I was looking to buy pretty much the exact same furnace. Im pretty much sold on it now. I don't care much about melting cans im more looking into melting copper and casting bronze I was really wanting a devil forge but don't want to get sucked into paying a premium. My question is with the lava forge having set burners vs the adjustable from devil forge.
There are regulators on each burner. Where the gas line connect to the burners, each side has a regulator. I hope this helps! I love mine and have done brass copper and aluminum.

I just yesterday ordered the same kit plus I ordered some extra (smaller) tongs.

Do duel burners give you more heat, or just get you upto temperature quicker?
