Your theory is quite different from others and it is pretty good! I like you said the boys showed what happened to Jinyoung. It is really makes sense. I organized some points of my theory after watching Departure, Turbulence and Arrival.
1. Youngjae maybe the first to die because he is the first to fly in Departure and the first one to say"One out" at the scene in the plane from Turbulence.
2. In Hard Carry MV, JB was also trapped in somewhere between life and dead (White background with trees). Youngjae was trying to release him also. After Youngjae fail to save JB because JB decided to be with the others(and cannot make it), Youngjae went to Jinyoung. He tried to save him aggressively by breaking the box with his hammer. It is interesting that he wore white cloth in Never Ever. It should indicate something of his position.
3. Light effect at Hard Carry after they got wet was just like the lights when rescue team searching survivors in the water at night.
4. The scene on the beach at Arrival, it may indicated Jinyoung finally got out from the "water trap" which is his desire to give up and be with the boys.
I still don't understand why Jackson is not in the sky when Jinyoung fell from the roof. Maybe Jackson is just so free to stay at where he wants.
I read a theory where it said jackson was the first one to die because of the impact so thats why he wasnt flying because he was already dead and the others were helping jinyoung while jackson couldnt because like i said he is dead or atleast what i watched

So that's why Jackson represents the car crash when he goes against the wall on Never Ever
this is hella late but i also saw a theory where JB is actually the bird in the cage that Youngjae was setting free and that JB would’ve survived but went back to save the rest and died during the process. Youngjae was trying to set the bird free but it like hesitated, representing how youngjae was telling JB it’s okay to live and to not feel guilty but in the end, JB went back, and then he felt free which is why the bird is finally free. something along those lines i’m not the best at explaining
