DETAILS:
A vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed lost control and struck another vehicle sideways
The driver was then entrapped and was pronounced deceased while trapped in the car
During the investigation, and once the Medical Examiner was on the scene, it was determined the car needed to be cut up for body extrication, and a rescue unit was toned out.

Anytime you see a vehicle wrap around like that, it’s a high speed crash.
The poor first responders. Those images never completely leave the brain.
After the medical examiner pronounced him dead, only then could they go ahead and chop up the car into pieces around the body in order to extricate the deceased. My God, he was compressed inside that car immensely.
That must be the lack of urgency the first responders have.

“High speed crash”! SLOW DOWN!! What is the big rush out there? Every road by my house is like the Indianapolis speedway…. The highways are like the Daytona 500 qualifying laps. What is the big rush…. Where’s the party? Where is everyone going? It’s not possible to arrive at your destination if you’re dead. Remember that.
It’s not a rush. It’s not a party. It’s an addiction. The 2 great addictions of our age - speed and phones. They’ll never be classified as dangerous either. All you can do is protect yourself.

If you’re in Seattle you should come over to Spokane. We won’t let you down. I can’t believe what goes on over here, every night. We’re now down 7 officers and a K9 after a car wanted for a drive by shooting, toned the swat armored car, and the officer who was in pursuit of the car, hit the pursuit car.
So the guy got hit by a reckless driver and he is checked for drugs?
Maybe for assurance just in case the deceased guy's family get sue happy.
I think that’s part of the protocol. Maybe to see if he had any kind of chemical related impairment that could’ve made his reaction time worse.

How do you go fast enough in a Corolla to do that kind of damage?
My mom’s ‘87 Corolla topped out at 140. Newer ones top out at I believe 160. Add to that the fact that drugs and alcohol might be involved and it’s a recipe for disaster.
