"Raga Rocks" is a fusion based album by Raghab Chatterjee released in 2007 consisting of eight famous Thumris(Indian Semi Classical love songs) and Indian Classical based compositions with combination/wrapper of western pop-rock genre. Though many places over the web mention it's western part as "pop", yet indeed that part is "pop-rock", not "pop" alone.

1. Yaad Piya Ki Aaye
Thumri in Raag Bhinna Shadaj
Raghab Chatterjee actually sings it in a format of "scale shifted" Bhinna Shadaj in his own unique way.
You can watch the version sung by Kaushiki Chakraborty on the web and realize what speciality Raghab da has added to this raga along with pop-rock flavour...
2.Laagi Lagan Pati Sakhi Sang Pop-Rock fusion on Thumri on Raga Hamsadhwani
3.Kaahe Nanad Dinhi Gaari
Thumri on raga Mishra Kaafi(Shuddha 'Ga' is also applied along with Kaafi. It is actually Krishna Kaafi) wrapped with pop-rock container.
I will humbly request to everyone to listen the version of Pandit Ajay Chakraborty from the album Shringar Vol 4.
This is actually a thumri in Deepchandi taal and amazingly rendered in 7 beat pop-rock frame by all the contributing musicians in this album.
4.Balmaa Mori Torey Sang on Raga Baageshri
Original composition is on Drut Teen Taal, here they amazingly converted with 8 beat rhythm.
5.Chalo Guiyaan Aaj Khelen Holi(Holi Bhajan).
This "Chalo Guiyaan" song is a song to express the joyfullness of Holi rather in some mode of dancing .
If you are a geek classical music listener and want to get the expression of urge from Shri Radha to Lord Shri Krishna not to put color to her, then plese listen to the song "Aaj Pichkari Mat Maro Kanhai" by Kaushiki Chakraborty. You would be in some different world.
