But I personally think that nier automata is so unique that it doesn't need to be compared to does games. Nier automata is literally one in a million the color palette might not be of interest to anyone and the interesting plot doesn't kick in until new game plus two or three but it is essentially and must play if you like story-driven games with characters unique game mechanics followed up with a incredible soundtrack and a fantastic fluid combat system. (my apologies for the terrible grammar)

So when I first got to the calibration part, I had to do something else first. I left it on, thinking I could finish it later. When I came back 15 minutes later it had continued on to the next scene. Then, when playing as 9S, I had to watch 5 to 8 minutes of nothing happening where I couldn't do anything. So that was fun.
So I ended up walking away during calibration... and when I got to 9S’s route... I thought I broke the game because for like 3 minutes nothing happened... nothing at all *facepalm* -.-
What's weird is I went afk and by the time I got to the voice settings it stopped recording. My selfdestruck option was never available to me even after the set up. Never got around to it lol
How awesome would it be if the composer of this game breaks the 4th wall and scolds the player for muting the music... Or when saying you do feel it/felt it all along after saying no to him touching 2B ;)

i got distracted by phone during this process in my first play through and it took like half an hour for it to resume....
