As shown in the video you have to use an Arduino and an IR receiver to capture the hex codes from the remote. For this to work you should have a working remote.

Nope. It is NOT clone. It's importing existing IR code template and modify it. I need ability to copy a remote device without knowing what its brand.

Yes it's a clone, I am using an existing layout just for the template. I am then using an Arduino and IR receiver to capture the codes from an actual remote.
