    Canada is full of haunting yet beautiful sounds, especially scoring a scene with the Lights whipping through the sky. Definitely invokes the wonder and awe behind the mythology and culture.

      I’m glad we don’t have these things in America. At least the southern parts of America. I personally find them to be super annoying and people will shoot them because they eat fish like cormorants. I don’t condone it but a bunch of people I know hate cormorants.

      I heard I guy in Florida comment that the only way he knows it winter is when the loons show up. I don't know anything about it though except they leave Ontario in the winter.

      @@UltraMagaFan …Its YOU who interferes with the natural way of Nature, taking food away from those birds! You have a very selfish attitude towards how Nature works! 👎🏻

    • @UltraMagaFan
      @UltraMagaFan 2 роки тому

      @@mikedelphine1216 Some things in nature have to die for other things in nature to live. Thats how nature has worked since the beginning of time. In this case cormorants die so the fish in my pond can live. Stop acting like humans aren't a part of nature. We are. I'm not selfish. I just don't want the fish I spend nearly $1000 a year to take care of to die. If you don't like that get the fuck over yourself. It's not like I'm killing an endangered species. The main reason we hate these things is because there's so many of them. The only reason I don't condone killing them is because its illegal… unless you have a license to do so which are very hard to get.

      @@UltraMagaFan I personally love real Loons. They represent freedom, peace and wildlife for me. But I do hate all the ´Loonies’ in America. Specially all those in politics and Hollywood. Now these are the ones who are really annoying!

    I only heard a loon once a long long time ago. I've seen them since but they were resting and very quiet. This is a great capture of them talking.

      Yep ! and you could learn how to do it yourself with your own hands. It took me a couple days and about 20 to 30 tries to get it. And about a 100 times before making it perfectly. The fun fact is that they will answer your call. The yodeling is the hardest. You need to learn how to have long breath. Just like when you learn to play an air instrument.

      You can find Loons in Europe and Eurasia too actually. You basically have to go out and camp in the wild. But still, you could encounter some even near some cities, during migrations. The best trick is to do what these guys did, which is to keep really quiet once up there. You’d be amazing of all the birds and animals you will encounter if you are very, very careful, quiet and keeping still. - Good luck !👍

    3 of the Loon calls are actually pretty easy to do blowing into your hands. You can probably find how to here on youtube. (I didn’t check before commenting). Imyself have learn to do it since I was 7 years old. And the fun part is (once you do it properly) Loons will answer your call. - I have stunned a whole group of people during a ´survival’ trip and specially the a..hole guide who thought himself to be the next thing to God. It cured his ego right on the spot after he told me they wouldn’t answer my call. 😝.
