  • 1 - Long intro. If you're not interested in a whole piece of music, you can skip to roughly 47 seconds. Otherwise, maybe just enjoy the music fully.
- It is not lost on me that this is my second Arabic music interpretation that starts out with some palm muting and rim knocks.
- Yet another new snare. This one is a Ludwig Universal Series Black Brass Snare (14x6.5). The Benny Greb snare is likely going to be sold back to Guitar Center. It's nice, but I play too many different types of music to keep it. I'm not a collector. I like versatility in my drums. It just didn't hang well with the sticks I use nor with heavier music.
- As with the other Arabic piece I did a video for, I left the original percussion tracks. This double bass part doesn't line up. I just never felt like it really HAD to. I kind of like the accidental call and answer effect.
- I've gotten crap for playing songs that are 1) not popular 2) not "hard enough" and 3) whatever other else shit that doesn't actually pertain to me. I want to enjoy what I'm playing and I also prefer to write parts. I do not prefer to play someone else's stuff. That's not to say I'll never do a cover again - I will. It's just this: I play drums because I want to play drums.
