Very nice design, good informative video. I was going to build one like it, but the cost of the Wilton Pow R Arm alone was several hundred dollars, even used on ebay. Then I found that Berry's (makers of the very popular plated bullets) makes a couple different models based on their version of the Pow R Arm. I ordered their rifle vise plus their checkering cradle, both for about the cost of the aluminum to build one like this, less than the price of Wilton's 343 Junior model, and less than half the price of the 301 or especially the 303 hydraulic model.
Lars, I also live in wasilla and checker gun stocks. I have yet to meet anyone else in person that checkers. Would love to meet sometime and talk checkering.
Hello Lars, I think you did a wonderful job on your cradle. It has inspired many new ideas for my own cradle. Thank You for sharing your creation.
Nice work and good job on a concise yet complete discussion of a fine tool!
Excellent!
That is much nicer than my scrape wood cradle! You have done well sir. Maybe you should sell them. 👏👏👏👏
Thank You, Just proof anything worth doing is worth overdoing.
Very nicely done sir...may I ask if you have a plan, or sketch of your build ?
