Still trying to master P&R (punch and Roll)! Just a side note, for whatever it's worth: Many states have a "Lancaster"- Some pronounce it "Lanka-ster" altho here in Calif is the one I am most familiar with and we generally say "Lan-caster"...
I agree with you. I’ve been doing it for a while now. If you do only that line you messed, you’re already disconnected from the story of the piece. Seeing this coming from you that confirms to me once more that my intuition guided me right😊
Great timing of this topic. I had to do one today and it was annoying me I could not match the tone, volume and pacing. This worked perfectly! Thanks 🙏🏼
Makes a lot of sense , even in live action acting the same would apply when calling action , you always coming from somewhere right , We don't just suddenly spring to life its more like walking in from another room, leans to a natural read ;-)
Lots of ways to tackle this. Normally I keep a spare read or two of a commercial script in my back pocket. On some rare occasion, I've snipped a word from a spare read to replace a munched word in a read I really liked and planned to send to the client. On other rare occasions if I've mistakenly added a word that wasn't in the script, I've performed surgery to remove that word. Otherwise punch n roll is my go to when I record.
