- The SRP PTB4 brings some major improvements to rain implementation, but the biggest new addition is the AI line on the C1 loop. Join me for a lap of the C1 against 4 AI drivers, as we take the Lancer EVO IV, and take it head to head with legends such as the Toyota AE86, the Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R and the BMW E30 M3.
As always shout out to the SRP team for the track, x4fab for his amazing work on CSP, Peter Boese for SOL 2.1 and the modding community at large for such great content.

This is the beginning of what I believe so many of us have been looking for: awesome simulation, long cruises, road racing, and road cars. Just amazing, thanks for sharing this.
What do you mean, this has been around for years, and before that, rFactor was offering the same things.
And, don't forget, absolutely massive crashes that don't actually hurt anyone!
But there is no open world
@@johnyboy9102 There are actually maps that could be seen as open world, but of course they are relatively small compared to forza etc.
beamng is awesome
It’s crazy how I’m 2014 DRIVECLUB released with easily one of the most realistic weather effects and rain physics, and Assetto Corsa with mods can pull off a similar effect. Great games from a great era🤝
Even better
Because the rain on door wind shields is just an animated texture in Driveclub, only the front wind shield rain is simulated. As for this one, rain is simulated on most parts and in higher res too.
well one's an arcade.
Great? AC is great... drive club is mid....other than the visuals and decent sounds ,there is nothing in its favour
@@rohanalias9053 drive club was a fantastic arcade racer. I play sims like AC, but I still maintain that drive club had great, approachable physics that had a lot of depth to them. The map design and music was great too, truly a game built from an era where attention to detail was mandatory and respected.
@@proghostzgamecreed6555 think of the specs man.... big difference. they have to cut corners somewhere for the time the rain was mindblowing. and tbf this looks like some sort of technique with a repeat animated texture that has the ability to slow down or speed up. unless i missed him breaking and it went the other way (not 3.1 radians in direction you can easily reverse it) then I'm wrong
Honestly, I was just watching the wipers than the driving. The water droplets are so realistic in their looks and how they're wiped away.
same cant believe this was done with a 1080ti
@@error_error_1239 Well the game is pretty easy to run tbh and the 1080Ti is still a beast.
Is asetto corsa on ps5?
@@alooulwoo9773 yes but imo not worth it without the mods
Yeah, you can't really see the driving can you tough?
This the most beautiful thing that has ever graced my eyeballs
0:57 you know it's too damn realistic when those wipers get stuck just like in my rusty shitbox
You know it's too damn realistic when the RTX 3090 is burning
@@bageltondinglequandaleseba6928 no he still use 1080ti and the graphic looks amazing
@@mynameisciko4885 I can smell it burning bigger fires
it's funny that the huge spray doesn't even moist the windscreen. he should have been blinded by it
@@GraveUypo I was about to comment that, thanks for pointing it out. The car ahead should have "blinded" the driver due to huge spray it made from the wheels! So even if this mod and graphics are great, they are still far from realistic :)
My first thoughts, "Damn this looks sick."
Halfway through, "Finally got that fucker in second."
I need a 10 hour long version of this to fall asleep to
pretty sure youtube has a loop function now
Do you need 10 hours to fall asleep?
Love this love the fact the rear wiper was going too. Be great to see it show rear view too.
Good god the detail in the rain streaming off the window & the wider blades 👀👀🔥
This is like a dream come true for me to find, Ive been playing on the Shuto Expressway map I downloaded and that doesnt even have a correct nighttime option. There's no lights or anything. I can't wait to install this!!
Thank you so much for posting your CSP setting download. My game now looks amazing.
That is just straight up beautiful man, holy shit! though it's a real pity that r33 took off, I really wanted to stare at it more in the rain lol ty
That's was extremely satisfying!!! Thx for the video!
Thanks man. I appreciate the support
This is gonna be fantastic as development goes on. Already looks beautiful, but it does still lack impact. Rain at speed really lashes at you and moves more aggressively on the windshield. It’ll also sound more like constant white noise at those speeds. At the moment, the rain kinda sounds like you’ve parked in a mall parking lot.
dude this video alone convinced me to try out sim racing. Just ordered a wheel and bought this game. Thanks!
The rain looks so good!
I am very disappointed in Forza Horizon 5's rain, especially after looking at this.
@@proghostzgamecreed6555 Forza is a pretty game, and has loads of cars, but is not a good game in every other aspect. . . :( The makers of Driveclub got the rain right years ago, but sadly this is the only other propper simulations of rain on the windshield in games. Its sad, but it is a so far very desired, yet overlooked feature by most developers. Sim, and arcade game alike, Its' a bloddy shame . . . 😢
@@proghostzgamecreed6555 Horizon 2’s rain and Motorsport 7’s rain are the best in Forza’s history so far IMO. Horizon 5’s is GOOD, but not fantastic
♪♫ No one sleep in Tokyo, all night crossing the line
No one quit the radio, Tokyo is on fire ♫♪
This is scary, I'm amazed that you are able to drive in such conditions 😂
This is what inspired me to get a steering wheel and get the rain mod. And I really thank this video and the creator for that.
This just shows how modders have more passion than most of developers, those rain effects are pure gasm
If only you could do this on console Assetto Corsa. For anyone who saw this video and wants to get this game, do not get it on console. Getting it on console means that you cannot add any mods to the game. Graphics are quite bad and menu is also poorly made (e.g. if you have headphones on and your in the menu, only one side will work). Also, this is a game which almost forces you to buy the dlcs. The base game (£28) only comes with 30 cars which makes it very easy to get bored with. You must buy the car dlcs (£4+) to get any fun out of this game.
Assetto corsa on consoles was always an inferior product, but with the CSP, there's practically no relation anymore. For anyone looking to get into AC, I'd suggest getting the ultimate edition which goes on sale for 9.99 a few times per year.
Also be aware that to get the most out of it, you need to know your way around computers.
Not to mention that the phisics are totally different on the console version, when I first got ac it was on Xbox and I actually got a little worried, because I've always been able to slide really well in games, especially with a wheel, and I drift for fun more than anything else, but when I booted up the game, I couldn't hold any car other than the e30 drift car sideways at all. I felt super bad until I got ac on PC and it turned out it was the console versions completely different phisics that makes correction mistakes nearly impossible
@@johnxina2140 is it me or when you are in third person and you slightly turn the car left and right, it looks like the car is sliding and not touching the ground? this Is for the console version
@@jun_chung I'm not entirely sure, since I very rarely use third person, but I do remember it looking pretty strange, I remember watching people drift in an online lobby and some of them were actually floating a bit above the ground, so yea, that absolutely could be the case
@@jun_chung yeah it does that on PC as well. it's the way they fix the camera like its on top of a pole 4 feet behind the car that swivels with the car instead of staying behind it. Camera stays still no matter what angle the car is at. It fucks with what your brain has taught you driving games look like. but tbh... driving in 3rd person in a true simulation game... what ya doin bruv
Can you make a tutorial of what settings you use csp etc
I swear I've been trying to get round to that since you posted the comment 😂. Now, don't exactly hold your breath, but that video is still planned. In the meantime if you need help, hop into my discord that I linked for the ppfilter in a bunch of my vids, and we'll see what we can do yeah 😉
@@C13Automotive if you dont mind, could you just post the settings setup file in the desc, or even without the vid, so that it is easier for people to setup, thanks
@@abhiisnotme Hey man, the thing is that all of the stuff in this video is a bit outdated now, so it would be hard to replicate exactly. That said, i'll hook up the description with some links and presets to get people started 👍
description updated ;)
@@C13Automotive thanks
one of my best friends and I love to cruise in REAL C1.
hello from Tokyo:)
This is how far a modding community can go to improve the game they love
Bayshore at 3 am in the rain... Whoa gives me shivers already
super relaxing
This video got me into ac. Bought a steering wheel last week now I'm whipping r33s online. Ty 🤙
While we don't have any r33s in the car roster (yet), if you enjoy a meet and racing oriented ac experience, do check out discord.com/invite/aegisvisuals. We're working on some pretty amazing things, but we already have a great car lineup with regular events such as car meets, time trial runs and 1v1 racing - all of which is covered on a cinematic live stream. I'm happy to hear I helped you get into ac, but i'm even happier to hear you're having a good time!
Driving at the SRP will be the first thing I do when I get a wheel, h - shifter and pedal setup
Is asetto corsa ob ps5
I think windshield wiper need more quickly at this car's speed
Awesome graphics btw
Awesome!
Also remind me that I need to re-apply rain repellent coating on my windscreen lol.
Simply blissful
1:49 If my windshield wipers stopped like that in the rain I'd be scared
I'm honestly surprised it took this long for someone to bring that up 🤣
It happened to me once, but the rain was not that terrible and it stopped working only a few seconds... But back then I was not relaxed haha
@@SixShooter7 I got into a heavy rain and at that moment the last thing I wanted was for the wipers to break)))
@@snaildriving Yea know that feeling, same with headlights at night with heavy fog haha
@@SixShooter7 That's right😆
This is the most realistic rain physics I've seen in any game wtf😳
Have you seen driveclub😅, a 2014 ps4 launch game
@@farihinhajimohdlisa9017 Driveclub implemented the effect with animation, but the Assetto Corsa Modders took it to another level by doing it real time
it's mind blowing what modders can do...

Rain rain but those mirrors finally reflecting reality
This in VR would be so fun
That is more real than real life 😍
Incredible 🔥🔥🔥❤️
I can just this guy's PC slowly turning into lava while this is running at these settings
Awasome driving. And I thinking that im fast on the loop. Jajajaja. Great Bro.
This is why I need to get vr to go along with my wheel
perfection
New aaa games: no rain effect on windshield and no modding capability
A 2014 game: stunning rain effects using mods and great modding capabilities
Great job Kunos and Ilja 👏👏👏
Do you have a CSP preset for mid end rigs that can look good and do 60FPS?
Great vid btw.
Those rear view and side view mirrors looks realistic as well
Jumped onto Assetto for the first time the other day. Never looking back.
@nostalgia Absolutely. Now my sim of choice!
you should try to play on this map or try drift sometimes. its fun even if you dont have any friends online
@@ZaYn.91 Yep, I’m on a couple Shutoko servers and I try to keep an eye out for NFS maps as well! The community gives the game so much more to offer and I’m glad to be a part of it.
okay, this is very close to real life, the water the handling the city
Физика далека от истины!
this is so cool
Project cars 1 rain effects are pretty impressive as well.
that trueno gave u the smoke 🤣🤣🤣
amazing
thats pretty sick
That's was amazing
damn this was peaceful
Quick question,i dont know.much about Pcs and that stuff but can a lenovo ideapad 3 ryzen 5 handle this?
I love it!! :3
it's perfect for droplets, however it doesnt take the spray under consideration on the windshield
Great feeling
This is what my dreams look like
what are your settings for the water to look so realistic while in fpv, i keep trying but it just looks like ms paint streaks
Tokyo Xtreme Racer flashbacks! 😵😵
Project cars is as real as it gets when it comes to rain
My phone is melting watching this
1080 ti and this smooth 😵 god damn
What type of filter are you using? It might be because I play it in VR but my rain / reflections dont look anywhere near good as yours lol
The water looks so wet! 😮
great ASMR video
I guarantee you, its nowhere near that quiet inside the evo, especially with the rain. Road noise and water splashes would be louder than an engine revs.
We can adjust the audio settings ingame individually so that the water/road/engine sounds are closer to real life
So now I get why "Rolce Royce" has a touch of luxury
buddy with the rs2 avant has taste
Very nice.
does the windshield wipers have different speeds like real cars ?
how did you get the rain sounds to stop when you're under a structure?
Looks fantastic but why do other cars spray so much water backwards when the road isn't even wet (in tunnels)? And it seems as this water doesn't affect the windshield at all.
THX for settings :)
what about the water simulation at the front glass? looks like a blender render.
are the puddles on the road part of a separate config or are they supposed to be part of the rainfx mod?
Not entirely sure what you're referring to, so I'll try to cover all my bases. With CSP preview and Sol 2.1 Alpha, both rain intensity, wetness, and standing water are controlled by Sol through WeatherFX. The track in the video is the SRP PTB4 which has the complete config included. So it's not a separate mod per se, but you do need the correct combo of components.
Hope that helps.
nice
The RS2 😍
Doing this in real life would be like playing dangerously with death.
Kinda looks like driveclub's rain effect, good job
It looks better
2:56 AE86 hits the Barry R, spins, and stops the race for everyone behind 😆
XD
I like that camera movement. Any info?
That smoke
Ngl that driver is really high
Its not just the looks even the sounds too damn good
When the game looks better then real life.
Wicked subed, 👍💯👌🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁

Can't lie
hay quick question, what mod did you use in this video for the rain? Also, what map is it?
@@BigSStudios rain is just the Custom Shaders Patch rain, and the track is the C1 time attack layout of Shutoko Revival Project
@@C13Automotive awesome thank you!
Rain animation physics looks awesome than gran turismo 7
Can someone explain how do you even install all these mods and how to make them work? I've seen so many tutorial, installed stuff, paid other stuff, but never got anything working fine. Mostly the rain mod.
Ahhhhh, i cant wait Night Runners
How do you get such smooth gameplay even when modded? I'm running 3090 and 14 core CPU but even unmodded assetto corsa is stuttering (though fps counter stays above 100 at all times). Other games like Dirt Rally 2.0 has no issues on Ultra graphics. Any tips to improve it on AC?
Could be a driver issue or any number of things. The important thing is not pushing things you don't need, too far. Like reflections update frequency, number of ai cars etc. In my experience mods themselves do not negatively affect performance when done properly. Extrafx in csp eats overhead like nothing else though. The one thing that I feel really makes a difference is frame time optimisations in CSP optimisations. Makes 60fps feel like 80
I think I’ve found my new asmr
Ну круто что сказать, спасибо за обзор мода!))
Cool stuff, just curious, what PPFilter did you use? Stock Sol?
A custom one developed by me. You can find a discord invite in my later videos, where I develop pp filters
That trueno is very persistent huh? 😂
Nice NASA pc
Yea thats nice actually, few observations:
- Missing the trail in all rear view mirrors
- Trail continued to be seen even under bridge / tunnel where there's no water at all
it couldve been pushed there due to the downhill into the tunnel or remaining water on tires
