yeah, after boasting that his neighbours were annoying and there would be no more noise after the construction of the first shed. Plus he probably is working on cars all the time. I wouldn't want Benny as my neighbour.
No, it's not like that for me. We all need to make a little noize from time to time. I'm Very much a live and let live kind of guy. I mean they had to realize that eventually the shed was going to get finished and they just needed to be patient. I really just thought it was funny that his neighbors made buts out of themselves right at the home stretch. Then just a few months later he starts another shed project and from they start they have no idea how long it's going to take and were probably fearing the worst. Fortunately for everyone this time around it was much shorter. @@schmonzo42
Was half asleep when I heard it and rolled over thinking the video ended and went to Big Lez show and was pleasantly surprised to find it still on Surges video 😂
Too funny i was playing minecraft at the time in the nether and heard it and was like wondering if it was the headset or video of a guy building a shed😂😂
Something about the grassroots production style and the amount of shit that you teach through making mistakes makes these videos so inspiring. I legitimately think this is some of the best content on UA-cam, thank you for putting so much effort in, thank you for making these videos
Regarding the caulking, look for a product called backer rod for the larger gaps. It's like miniature pool noodles that you stuff in gaps. Also tape can be used for clean lines.
i love the choise of music so much, that MC brings out a vibe, whilst making that workbench. suits the video perfect. love your vids keep up the good shi
Here straight from the main shed video. It's nearly midnight and I'm just thinking about if you stick four of these sheds on top of the main shed, don't level them and just turn them into spare rooms and people have to be strapped to the beds. It's completely stupid and incredibly expensive but imagine the neighbours little faces light up.... This is now my new favourite channel. Apparently you do things with cars but I reckon sheds are the future. Motorised Sheds. Or you could confuse the neighbours by bricking up their front door and let the hilarity ensue. Love from Liverpool UK.
Another great shed, and another great video! If you plan on doing a lot of welding practice in the new shed, I would highly suggest adding some sort of ventilation fan. Welding in a confined space with little airflow is hard on the body.
iv never seen a slab that unflat in my life im sure that was the reason the shed had a big ol gap on the floor. still looks mint for sure looking forward to some tig vid you should start with ac so you can build aluminum stuff for your supra.
I can’t believe how big your backyard is! I watched you big the first garage that you attached to the house and I thought that was your entire backyard! But come to find out you have another entire lower level to your backyard! You have an amazing backyard! This is like my dream house! A large garage to work on your cars plus another shed (which I would have turned into a woodshop)! You are living the dream mate!
Top tip for silicon is get dish soap and water in a spray bottle and spray it after you lay it and it wont stick to anything like your fingers or anything the spray touches
You've made very good use of every square meter of your property. I guess the neighbors didn't mind this shorter build?? Everyone knows, you can never have too much storage...
Quick tip for when you’re doing silicone next, lay down a line and spray it with some quality window cleaner spray (none of that dogwater you can get at the local cornerstore and leaves streaks on the glass) something with high alcohol content, then just use the tool and you won’t have a problem with the silicone sticking to anything else
Haven't watched the video yet, but if you haven't done it, consider some sound dampening foam/insulation to maybe keep the neighbors a bit happier with the grinding and cutting
As a welder, I think most of our bandsaws run a water based lubricant so that it will dry out by the time we get it and doesn't have any lasting contaminates. Plus grinding the paint off of the welding area and spot where the ground clamp is will help a bunch. Even if you can burn over the paint, it cuts out some of the random stuff with it. The ground is the most important part to clean though. And if you barrel stuff that nozzle more you won't get those lil poopie bois. lol. Don't be afraid to tack over the whole welding area, grind it down and then burn a stinky weld over it if you can't fill the gap. We all learn to weld by fixing our shitty ones. lol. Nice shed bud.
Benny the reason the welds were coming out so shitty at first is because you didn’t grind the paint off of the metal, if the surface isn’t clean the weld is gonna be contaminated.
you are the man that makes me want to grow a beard and be someone, it's incredible how much motivation your videos can give me! congrats on the mini shed
Foam Backing infill behind silicone helps, paint the floor black with epoxy, helps to find shit like nuts and bolts that you drop on the floor. ‘Insert Mexican welder here’
great little shed fit out ..if you want to reduce the noise on work benches you can stick sound deadening under the sheet metal worktops ..keep up the good work
Superb result, just dawned on me that the music is from Minecraft 😂 i knew inhad heard it before, my daughter plays it 😂😂😂 i have to admit it was rather fitting and therapeutic 🙌🏻🏴
Exactly I think when I built my shed the same size almost as his it was 800 total for materials and overall price for everything including benches floor and hooks and what not was another four so 1200 total for mine
The price is insane. I’m building a 4.5x2.5m garage so I can restore my mini but all of that so far has cost like £500 and 400 of that was the 5x3m concrete slab the rest was on bolts, paint, etc. the legs of the frame are made from the stanchions from an old 4 post lift, the pitched roof is some old see-saw car display ramps turned upside down then it’s all connected together with some massive box section I pulled out the bushes at work then the roof is made from a bunch of dismantled pallets with some roof felt on and the walls are gonna be some old traditional marquee walls so they’re easily detachable. And I wasn’t even really trying to do it on a budget I mean if I didn’t have access to all the free scrap metal it would of cost a ton but I do so it didn’t . Also gonna just do a quick wiring job to rig up some lights but that won’t cost anything
Use to watch your rust, this got me motivated to actually do work on my car and think about building my own garage/shed for it, definitely need a concrete base now
I'm over here chuckling just thinking about his neighbor's heads exploding thinking "This guy is building another Freaking Shed!!!"🤣
Hahaha,true

Same thing i thought 😂
Can’t wait to see how he turns the whole house into a shed
Replaces his house with a shed
I'm a little surprised that he didn't decide to put the shed in his neighbors backyard

Jarrad wright’s music is so distinct but it works in so many different scenarios. The editing is top tier

the Minecraft soundtrack behind the shed assembly process was just magnificent.

Must be in creative, I didn't see a single iron ore get mined.

this and the main shed build made me clean up a heap of my stuff now i also wanna build a fully hectic shed

Peak music choice as always mate. Loving that you're using Jarrad Wright's music, good stuff.
Regarding the caulking, look for a product called backer rod for the larger gaps. It's like miniature pool noodles that you stuff in gaps. Also tape can be used for clean lines.
I was about to comment this

Some of it is off the big lez show watch it sick show mate
I fucking knew some of them were written by Jarrod xD

never woulda thought watching someone build a shed would be so damn entertaining
watch the other one you'll be bamboozled by having watched a 2h vid effortlessly
I’m loving these videos, seeing the process of everything it’s honestly very entertaining, the way you edit just keeps me going haha
THE BIG LEZ SHOW music in the background always makes a good video
Finna sayyyy how did no else comment it
Great video as always mate, keep up the great work!makin us Aussies proud!
i absolutely love the music choices from surge...
It helps the weld if you grind the paint off first. Especially with mig. Stick handles the contaminates a little better.
glad your friend showed you some welding tips.. you progressed a ton on those benches
This channel could just be non-stop shed building, I'd watch it every time. Love the editing and music taste. Great stuff mate.
You can always use a garage epoxy kit for the floor to seal up the concrete and make it look nice they're not too expensive
Ben your welding skills are getting better also the mini shed looks good
Another great shed, and another great video! If you plan on doing a lot of welding practice in the new shed, I would highly suggest adding some sort of ventilation fan. Welding in a confined space with little airflow is hard on the body.

Im SO SO SO happy you put a Bloodhound Gang song at 19:52 Thats one of my favorites by them.
Fuck yeah, such a good song

Top tip for silicon is get dish soap and water in a spray bottle and spray it after you lay it and it wont stick to anything like your fingers or anything the spray touches
I can concur that this works
While welding those beams make sure you grind back that blue paint to get a proper grounding point for that clamp.
You've made very good use of every square meter of your property. I guess the neighbors didn't mind this shorter build?? Everyone knows, you can never have too much storage...
Ben just doesn’t miss with the vlogs, keep it up brah
Little tip for welding, remove the paint around the area you’re welding and the paint around the ground clamp.
Couldn’t have asked for a better end to the night, a stance works vid and then another master piece from Ben
How good, I can't wait for you to build a shed over your whole block!!
Benny "The BIG SHED" Surge
best to prep the metal by grinding all the milscale off which will also get rid of the wd40, that'll help a lot with fire and porosity
This might sound weird, but I really enjoy the ambience in your videos.
The seinfeld music over the bung welds made me lose it laughing, nice edit man. The mini shed came up a treat! 10/10
I gotta rewatch the main shed build again now 😭😂, makes for a fantastic background movie

Let me guess this muppet is still working on saturday/sunday just bothering everyone like a menace.
Benny the reason the welds were coming out so shitty at first is because you didn’t grind the paint off of the metal, if the surface isn’t clean the weld is gonna be contaminated.
My thoughts too
Love your videos man. Felt the pain when you revealed that overspray but all's good. Can't wait for the next one
Minecraft music made this 10x better to watch
The minecraft music was a good touch 👌
Wills cracked at welding
next stage a scissor lift to get heavy parts from the top level to the lower level by that gap in the main shed . :} love the work

Something very cathartic about the Minecraft music against the building of the shed. Timeless for sure.

Why not go with wood? A ping pong ball could put a dent in that shed, it's thin sheet metal. Would be more sturdy and likely cheaper.
Exactly I think when I built my shed the same size almost as his it was 800 total for materials and overall price for everything including benches floor and hooks and what not was another four so 1200 total for mine
0:30 barra rocker cover with -10 an fittings, au getting a boosted barra?
After applying a bead of silicon, spray lightly with Windex to avoid the silicon smearing around the intended area.
a window in the ceiling would have gone crazy, but its still really cool. I always like this type of video of yours, they're always so calming

Next you should buy that grumpy old man's house and make a then buy the two houses behind you and joint the properties amd make a compound 😂😂😂
You should chuck some noise deadening foam on the bottom side of your bench tops, it’ll drown out some of the banging when you’re using them.
Surely the sparky over charged, 3 gs for that seems steep. Also shoulda put a step down on your slab, wouldn’t need to seal the bottom of the panels
When the minecraft music hit... I felt that. Amazing video!
12am and im watching this
The second melody sounded very familiar somehow special in a way. And no wonder why, my boy Jarrad Wright, only the chosen ones will know!

the paint on the floor adds character and its gonna slowly accumulate who knows what
cant weld paint or oil acetone will get rid of all, would probably get away with just grinding the metal clean surface prep is key! great vid!!!
You know vehicular manslaughter has happened when Benny returns
