A friend of mine lost her mother last week. I had wanted to make her mom a shawl while she was in the hospital, but she passed before I could get started. So I am going to make this shawl for my friend instead, out of some super soft Caron Latte Cake yarn in shades of turquoise & aqua (her mom's favorite colors) so anytime my friend needs a hug from her mom, she can wrap herself in this shawl & feel warm & loved.
Funny you say this.I got some red heart retro stripe yarn, and began a shawl with it.Sadly,my friend's father went into hospice that night.I completed the shawl in a couple of days, the day her father passed.I put so much love and prayers and thoughts into it, I gave it to her a few days later, hoping she would feel like it was a hug from her father ❤She absolutely loved it ❤ your friend will be thrilled ❤
Beautiful ❤ drinking my Scooters Coffee and watching your tutorial… I love it!! I do have ice cream yarn in a couple different colors from my stash along with much more yarn then I possibly need for the next 50 years laughing! I do love to crochet I am 80 years old. God bless you and thank you again for this crochet shawl and all your excellent tutorials. My passion also is crocheting sweaters I decided to take the challenge a few years ago and learn to adjust them to my fluffy self lol ❤
Gorgeous shawl Fiber Spider! I always thank you for your thorough tutorials!!! You always go the extra step to make sure we understand how to make the pattern!!!👍
I enjoy your videos so much! Sometimes I just watch and listen while I'm doing housework. Your voice is so calming and the way you explain the patterns is wonderful.
I am making this shawl using Mandala bonus bundle in the colorway of Chewy, which is muted tones of gray, tan and blue. I think it will look really pretty. Thanks for another great tutorial! I love all of them!
Craig, this is such a lovely pattern ! Such a nice change with just the right amount of laciness that would work with just about any yarn. Thanks so much for the work you put into your videos.
Oh wow that's a gorgeous shawl, I'm going to raid my yarn stash to make it. Thank you for your wonderful easy and clear instructions it's very much appreciated, sending love from Wales UK 🧶🤩
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I have been looking for an easy lacy shawl for a while, to work up some flecked/speckled yarn I have lying around. Will use it with this video, thanks for helping me out I love it!
Absolutely love this one. Can’t wait to try it out… love lilacs and purples so will try to find something that makes me feel as happy as the pattern does ❤
Hi spider fiber, I love this shawl. I will be making it. I have to tell you I learned to crochet from you a couple of years ago. I can only follow your directions so thank you for all the projects. Suzanne
Pretty combination with lace and the solid rows to hold it together and keep in the warmth! Thank you, Craig! Yes, the top edge is nicer when the last stitch goes into the chain. I am considering trying this with some 4-weight cashmere (half solid, half variegated), but I'll have to see how it works up. There are some gorgeous yarns in my 'collection', so if that doesn't work... again, thank you!
That is gorgeous! I’m going to make this with a new Caron Macchiato cake…I can’t recall the name for the color, but it’s fall themed.I can’t wait to work on it!Thank you for another great tutorial ❤❤
Oh goodie!! Another pattern to try❤ BTW, I'm making the peppermint patties following your video from 2 years ago. I left a comment under my comment on how well it turned out. 😂 Making memories, that's for sure! 😅😂 Your recipe went fine, it's just I'm not coordinated when it comes to mixing it seems😂 recommend the peppermint patties video to everyone!!❤
Love ❤️ the video, thank you! You make the instructions so easy and clear to follow. I will be making several shawls as gifts in different colorways of this yarn, including the color you used. My subscription disappeared.😢 So, I subscribed to your channel again. 🎉
I’m using Lion Brand Ferris Wheel in the color of Wild Violets. It suggests H hook, but I’m using a J hook for a lacier look. Shawl will be donated to local Hospice. Thanks for this wonderful tutorial!
OK well I was going to just have this on my to do list thinking I don't have the right yarn in my stash. Isn't that always the way. Oh darn need to go yarn shopping. 😊 Then I was sitting there looking at a Mandalla cake perfect. Accept I think I only have one of this colorway. Will need to look for another. Of course it's discontinued. But it will either be smaller or I'll find something to mix with it. I really want to use this cake.

Will tag you on Instagram when mine is done. This is a winner. Easy, pretty, fast.
Can this be done in a rectangular shawl?

Do you have a written pattern? Thank you.
No, I'm sorry, but I don't have a written pattern for this project, just the video tutorial.
