So where in the US you can afford to get sued, I've heard Japanese companies will avoid it at all cost. And often you don't know the details (And usually you won't get to hear them either). Maybe the song was produced only as promotional material for Mirai Nikki, which was back in a time when Anime was before it has seen a growth of 50% especially from the overseas market. So it makes sense if they didn't think of overseas market when negotiating the sales of the music. If they'd want to sell it or stream it now, they'd have to go to some lengths to do this. The only reassuring words I can say is that Lantis has brought over many artists already (for example Yousei Teikoku, which also made OPs and EDs for MN and many more). So they're probably not the once blocking the music.

But given that often times you can't even buy it easily outside of Japan, I get your problem. Not at all. 1) remember that ALMOST ALL pop singers have nice team and technology working behind the scenes to make it sound better (Im not implying that they can't sing at all but that it most likely isn't completely the same as it sounds in real life) 2) You mostly hear only popular singers and the reason they are popular is because of their singing so obviously it's gonna be good 3) I guess you haven't heard singers from other countries >.> There are really good ones all around the world, definitely better than most J-pop/rock singers
