Hi Pastor Steve, I enjoyed your message, but I have a question. The book of Matthew is one of the synoptic Gospels, meaning it is meant to be "read together" with the books of Mark & Luke in order to get a full understanding of the context of what's being said. For example, in Matthew's account of the "Olivet Discourse", Jesus' disciples ask Him "when shall these things be (the destruction of the temple)? And what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the age?" However, Mark & Luke's accounts read differently. Mark 13:7 & Luke 21:7 says: "...but when shall these things be (the context is the destruction of the temple)? And what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass (the context hasn't changed - it's still about the destruction of the temple)?" So, by reading the synoptic Gospels together we can see that the disciples clearly connected the destruction of the temple with the 2nd coming & the end of the age they were living in. The age of The Law & animal sacrifices that was represented by the Jewish temple. All of that came to an end with the destruction of the temple in A.D. 70 by the Roman armies. And if there's any doubt, just compare Matthew 24:15 ("When you see the abomination of desolation...") with Luke 21:20 ("And when you see Jerusalem circled with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is near."). And Luke goes on to write the following in verse 22: "For these be the days of vengeance that ALL THINGS WHICH ARE WRITTEN MAY BE FULFILLED." So, Jesus said that all prophecy that was written by the prophets would be fulfilled with the destruction of Jerusalem & the temple. This includes the 2nd coming, Judgment on apostate Israel, the resurrection, & the new heavens & earth. So, I guess the question is, Why do you place the context of Matthew 24 into our present reality?
Enjoy these lectures that Mr Steve does.
Thank you - Maranatha Lord Jesus!

You have to rightly divide !! Matthew was speaking to the Jews not to the gentiles for future events ! The 7 year tribulation has not happened yet !
You need to rightly divide!!! 7 year tribulation hasnt started yet!
If the Church is raptured before tue tribulation why should we bother the Second Coming? Is it not only for the Jews?
