The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5" even in 2022, from the standpoint of hardware and software is still an amazing looking and functioning device. Great build quality too.
I bought this tablet in 2015. I still have it after almost 5 years. It still works well and has no broken keys. Battery life is still 3 hours of video streaming at medium brightness. Although it can't play latest games it is a great tablet for watching videos and photos.

Mines was lagging so I gave it to my ex in 2018. I was using it to watch movies that are downloaded it to watch at work since I dont have wifi all the time. plus its the best SNES and NINTENDO DS EMULATOR

I bought it in 2014. Years later I wanted to use it again after at least 4 weeks and it had 50% battery left. Wifi was off and the display too. The battery still today holds weeks when wifi is off... I watch movies and series on it. It easily lasts for 10 episodes each 50 min. And the display doesn't just hold up till today, it's even top tier. 2560x1600 AMOLED. The S8 doesn't even have that😅
Now the S9 and the S10 Tab catches back into it and is truly the first next gen tablet to be superior to the original one!
I bought this in 2015 and still have it. Using the tab s and the tab s3. Both of them are just amazing

The updated versions weren’t really a game changer as such..they only had newer processors..but unless one is into gaming the first generation is still fine for most tasks..
This product was atleast 2 years ahead of its time in hardware when it was launched

I have been using this Tab S for awhile now, after switching from a Note Pro, and it is amazing! You do a great job reviewing as I discovered a few things I didn't know about by watching your video-Thanks. Hope they come out with a Note version of this tablet as I miss the S Pen.

One question. Its just me or it seems that samsung its coming out with way too many table in a short period of time.. And personally I think they all look the same..

Man I got this year's ago and it was amazing, until today where software updates slow down my device and my battery is really running quick.
My battery dies when I am powered off but most importantly, the wifi doesn't turn on. The switch turns on but stays greyed and after a minute or so, turns off. No access to the internet!
after watching the iPad Air 2 review, i think that some people that buys apple product buys it because because of its name. think about it! when the first iPhone came out, people went insane over it. just say the word over and over again. it is because of the name, and people think it is a really good phone because of the way it sounds, and some people doesnt really realize what it comes with and its feature. in my opinion, the features of the Samsung tablet is better than the iPad Air 2. if people choose Apple devices over samsung because of hardware installments, and/or features, that is completely fine!! BUT, with ALL tech devices such as phone and tablets, big tech company like samsung and apple tries to approach it to the poorer people than rich, because thats where over 60% of their income comes from. its just from my perspective, but others surely do have many opinion when it comes to buying new things. just remember it not how big the screen may be, or how thin it is, or the quality(sometimes) but if it make good use to you
Sir 4 years later my iPad is running fine on iOS 12 and the tab s that my friend has it struggle to open UA-cam
Ipad air 2 is still working great. I have an air 3 but air 2 is still supported till today

stuart robertson I went for it arrived few days ago and my what a superb tablet colours are superb for videos and pictures and runs nice and fluid as well.

I recently won an iPad Air from a company and I can't help but hate the Hell out of this OS and product, make no mistake - I'm VERY grateful that I won the product because I plan on using the Air for school stuff but this is VERY hard because I'm not familiar with the OS and it feels so restricted compared to Android; I don't understand what people see in this OS. I'm looking to switch it out now because of this, it will interfere with school and I can't have that.

Wow! You can really talk fast. Anyone else would have taken at least 30 minutes to cover the features you did. That's a plus in my opinion. I can always rewind and listen again if I miss something. At the speed you were going, I never once thought about skipping over a section. You were done with it before I got my hand on the mouse. :-)

Blake Fasse I use tons of Linux, Mac and Windows machines. Samsung is over-rated as far as Android is concerned. I use both Apple and Android mobile and tablet devices, but I can't stand this ridiculous flaming between those groups. Having said, I dislike Samsung and Google for how they handled this entire mess. That recent bending PR thing (on twitter) was made me to resolve never to buy a Samsung mobile device again. I hope Google rolls out a few stunning Andriod models.

I'm not too much of a fan of the Galaxy Tab S2 screen aspect ratio. I hate 4:3. I have a Tab 4 7" and an iPad mini 4. I wish tablets had a 16:9 or 16:10 aspect ratio because that's better for watching movies on.

I think Apple and Samsung should make a mixture phone with iOS or Android Tunning on, or Apple specks or Samaung specks or a mixture of samsung and apple speck should be on that phone. I bet it eill break a lot of records at top selling phones and there will be no phone war between them. Like if you agree so everyone can see

I bought mine Tab S 10.5 in the end of 2014, and it is still working just fine. Later on I tried s pen from my note, it didn't work at the beginning but Samsung staff did something and it worked just fine. Even with ordinary graphite pen I could do some sketches. I did my sketches on my tablet mostly, but never had any scratches on the screen. Basically, seeing recent updates on tab series I felt a bit old and checking out if people still use theirs as I do, I see people still do😃
I have Tab S 10.5 and it still works great. The only downside is it only charges through a short 1 feet Amazon Basics cable..

Does it seem slow to anyone else? I am trying to decide between this and the Ipad Air 2, but the OS just seems super slow. Everytime he does an action its really delayed. Does anyone else notice this as well?

I have an ipad and also this galaxy tab s, with the samsung tablet its a bit laggy because of touchwiz, the ipads iOS is mutch faster and lag is not possible.
If you see the benchmarks and graphics score the ipad air 2 scores mutch, mutch better
So if you buy a tablet you buy the ipad air, it has much more preformance but its a little bit more expensive.
kobe Cornelis the lag on samsung is easily fixed, I was playing around in developer options and turned animation speed and window speed and the other one of them to 0 and got nova launcher, now my S4 runs just as fast as my friends 5S, even in touch wiz

Wow, that is a lot of stuff ...I came to this video after watching some iPad mini videos and I can't imagine why anyone would choose an iPad, there is no comparison... It definitely has to be for the "name" because there is no way, the features of an iPad come close to all the stuff a tablet like this one can do...

Very good reviewof the SM-T800. Got this tablet many years ago and was very happy with it. Now, the wifi doesn't work. After reading many comments from other forums, I believe this particular model has a hardware issue with the wifi/bluetooth apparatus. With mine, the switch(wifi and bluetooth) would turn on but remain greyed for a minute and then switch off. No internet! Also the battery will drain fast with the tablet powered off.

Aluminium isnt everything. The screen of this tablet for example just blows your poor iPad away. I'd rather have a better screen tbh. :)

I'd rather have a tablet which has a nicer operating system than an aluminium case. My wife has an Air and while it's a really nice thing to use, it's terribly annoying for someone who uses Android and a PC. Lots of problems which I've never encountered with an Android device. Watching this because I'm looking for an Android alternative to the Apple.

Is it still worth it in 2019?
I own this tablet, I bought it when it came out in 2014. Now it is just slow and it isn't at the latest Android version. Plus after 5 years, the battery is now bad and lasts 3 to 5 hours. But hey it is now a cheap android tablet, get the Tab S6, this tablet is no longer as good as it used to be.

@@marigold5194 no problem, I had to buy the S10 when it came out becuase the tablet is getting old. But everything has an end, and the Tab S had stop supporting the latest version of Andriod since 2017. It still works though, not as fast as it used to be.

Wow! This Samsung Tablet has impressed me. It's amazing 😉. The tab s 8.4 and 10.5 here, both are definitely worth buying in 2017. I am getting one in White and Gold of the 10.5 inch. And another thing that this tablet has impressed me is that very colourful and bright Super Amoled Display which is more to meet the naked eye. 👁 So, who's getting one like me?
