Do the gypsy's have a terrible reputation or am I just talking to the wrong people? Cause my experience there was absolutely nothing like what i heard 🤔
Hi friend, comming from a country that hosts quite a significant number of gypsies(not as many as Bulgaria)and also personally living close to them and having friends who unfortunately experienced first hand some of these terrible things, i can tell you that sadly most of the stereotypes about them are true. Most of them do not feel they need put their children through primary school, they live in illegal setlements and live of off child support exclusively while having 6-10 children starting from age 12. They get extra funds either by stealing, gathering copper, steel and items that people leave on the street or by begging scams. Police is afraid of them, because they are usually armed and dont care about any repercussions and even start fights between themselves in hospitals or other institutions. I know a person they kidnapped from a club at 2 am drove him around all night , threatened him with knives and visiting him at his home if he doesnt empty his bank account. In the morning he was forced to go into the bank with one of them to withdraw the remainder of funds( the atm only allows 400$) and ditched him in some field in the middle of nowhere. They were caught and got 3 years. Another time there was a mini pet zoo close to some elementary school for kids to play with the animals and they came and beheaded the goats, took the organs and left the carcass there for kids to see in the morning. Things missing from peoples backyards in their vicinity is normal etc etc. That said there is a group of them living in the other part of the country who seem to be more civilized and integrated, with normal jobs and legal setlements to be fair. Good luck with your travels.
I'm Bulgarian and to put it bluntly there is a lot of racist sentiment towards gypsies in Bulgaria and Europe in general. Gypsies are the poorest members of society in Bulgaria which means they are pushed to crime and generally don't merge with the rest of society (Many don't send kids to school) thus perpetuating racist attitudes. Kinda like America pre civil rights movement.
@@georgipavlov2585 thanks for sharing bro! As an American I’m not exposed to gypsies but it seems all across Europe people have nothing but bad things to say ab them
@@georgipavlov2585 there is nothing "racist" in the anti-gypsy sentiment. it's entirely cultural. And if poverty was the reason for the crime, eastern europe would have been like Mad Max : Fury Road. Poverty is the logical outcome of their f-ed up culture and mentality, not the other way around. There are lot minorities in Bulgaria, no other has the same negative reputation towards them like the gypsies. And if someone says that's because bulgarians are racists is just someone who never had any serious dealings with gypsies. Similar to the schmuck in this video who just passed by the neighborhood, nothing bad happened to him and now he is an expert on the "racists" eastern europeans. Typical american - calling everyone racist ...
Eastern Europe is very safe in most of their parts, especially where gypsies went outside in places like UK, Germany, France and are well off. They usually dont make trouble at home so you were lucky to stumble in such a place. Im from Romania, where the biggest population of them is and the same is here. But if you go in sketchy places, most likely you will get picked on and robbed if you aren't careful. But i would still consider black hoods in US way more dangerous than anything Eastern Europe has to offer.
The two homies talking about democracy and communism were pretty freaking cool. Seems like they just went up there to smoke and take in the sights while probably listening to hardbass or something.
Be careful with generally using "salam" in the Balkans. Locals much prefer just hello in their language. Even in Albania where it's majority Muslim, they'll think that's kind of cringe. But it's good for the entertainment value lol.
Some people really miss the communist period. We had a future then. Out country was the most powerful in the Balkans economically and militarily. Sure some things were done wrong (just like any political socio-economic system!) We dont have the historical wealth gained from slavery and colonialism like the West. We were under occupation by the Ottoman emoire for 5 centuries which stole any wealth we may have gained fir our selves. The most economically and socially adbanced period was that 40 year period you talk about during Socialism. Western imposed Democracy and capitalism has basically destroyed my country snd allowed it to be robbed. Also we were never occupied by the Soviets or Russians, but we are a US NATO colony EU Empire. Something has to change, but i see little hope for our future. We are a dying nation.
I noticed you said America doesn't build monuments like this to make people feel proud to be American, really? Then how do you explain mount Rushmore, the statue of liberty, the Lincoln memorial, etc

Každopádně je to fajn video!! Píšeš, že jsi západoevropan s vychodoevropsýi kořeny. Můžu se zeptat odkud z východní Evropy?

Salam Alaikum.... 🤣 U killin' me dude.... Hahhahahaha
As an American I’m not exposed to gypsies but it seems all across Europe people have nothing but bad things to say ab them
Only reason you dont hate on gypsies in the americas is cos you have mexicans.
Gypsies are not Muslims 🤦🏼♀️
My friend is from Bulgaria and he says it's great
Your friend is a liar.
@@dopecat15 😂
Did you keep the helmet?
everyone in this video thinks the other one is muslim, salam.
Great content man. How much did you buy and sell the bike for?
Greetings from Ireland!
Bulgarians never go there and never see it. It has nothing to do with us. Would you feel good if someone filmed Kensington and said "this is the US"?
Kensington is the face of the U.S. they should make it the capital. lol.
Scared of us Roma.
I thought there will be a plot twist and get your bike stolen while people being friendly to you and buying you lattes 😂
I feel like ive watch 3 videos where you have your final day with a motorcycle
Look better than most American neighbourhoods or downtowns.
Bro you need to go a plovdiv (stolipinovo) this is the real getho..... Please chek with Google maps... ❤
asking a gypsy wether he is a gypsy is not a good idea at all :D
You keep invoking the USSR into a sovereign Warsaw Pact country. Go back to school man.
Sucks about the bike..guy looked like he knew he got a deal.
now BUZLUDJA , goverment work on repair it .man you must go to VARNA its beautifull city in Bulgaria
Ah unfortunately I’ve left but maybe next time 👍
The two homies talking about democracy and communism were pretty freaking cool.
Not the gypsy cat 😭😭😭
Its not soviet as Bulgaria was never part of the USSR
It was part of the Eastern Bloc. It was a socialist/communist republic up until 1990.
0:38 Is that Jabas palace!?
I noticed you said America doesn't build monuments like this to make people feel proud to be American, really? Then how do you explain mount Rushmore, the statue of liberty, the Lincoln memorial, etc
Laughs in Mount Rushmore
Not all gypsies in bulgaria are muslims, the gypsy guys he shook hands with were christians and didnt want to make an arabic greeting...
You make some cool and interesting videos, but I'm sorry bro... Bulgaria was not part of the USSR. It was part of it's sphere of influence, sure, and a very close allie, but not a Soviet republic.
I can comfirm the guy at the top of the mountain was bulgarian by the way he said "comunism".
Monuments are all over here in the US. I live in Phoenix and can go downtown to the capital and see quite a few, i think its true of every state. I mean, ever been to DC?
It's true, but not quite on the monument fetishism of the former USSR. Drive around in the countryside out there and they are everywhere.
Go to Romania Bro
😂😂😂. Rahova, in Europe capital, Bucharest. Not some village. If they want village, they can go to Fieni or Glod, where Borat was filmed
I’m confused why he kept speaking in Arabic to them they are Christians
Cause he dont know , dont blame him please the same steriotype that the old lady call him junky and he's greetings at Arabic half of the time "tongue slippery"
