    You did a great job. A trail test adds factors like traction. More power causes more spin and machine going sideways. You ran an equivalent run, and flat pavement will be the most accurate. They all should be thankful you are providing information that their kits are better than stock and based on cost CFMOTO owners can choose what is best for them.

      Definitely agree. But to buy that as well to do the test would have made it unaffordable to do the testing “we’re not that big yet”. But I feel the tests are a fair assessment of belt temps at the end of 5 back to back 1/4 mile times. Does it account for belt temps spikes no but I don’t think the temp spikes would affect the overall test “it was pretty cold”. I do feel that testing the temps the way I did by putting the laser on the belt after 5 hard runs with no breaks in between does show a fair average temp.

    I'm just gonna say this for now...I cant wait to see the stage 3 test...I love what I see from rng so far for sure!! Those are definitely the results I personally would want on my machine out on the trails!! After what I went through last night on the Hatfield and Mccoy trails...man I wished I had one sooner from rng!! I'm not here to bash on either company because both have helped me in one way or another at the end of the day!! Red ..alot more than msc ...reds helped me with alot of knowledge that's saved me money in the long run...n msc has helped me in stock parts!! I like rob at msc..he has kept it professional for sure...red is definitely like a brother to me!! I won't come on this man n ladies post n start acting like a child like some have (T.W.) N A couple others!! Let's see how stage 3 turns out in the end!! Great video for sure though!! So far I'm definitely in favor of the less rpms myself!! Also ...I vote in favor of the erasable chalk board with stats posted n maybe pause there briefly with a nice piece of music playing...lol..that's if u wanna go that far in editing it that away!! Just a thought to throw out!! Again..great job sir n the misses!! Hope the cfmoto community has a awesome n safe day ahead!! ✌🏼😁❤️

      @mjmisadventures950  Рік тому

      I think both kits have their place independently. Mixing the two kits I think would probably take away from what both companies have tested and tuned. But imo I prefer the msc kit overall because of how it pulls well in the mid range and off the line. Plus the top speed was better with msc. As I said in the stage 3 video both have a good setup but both are good for different setups.

  • @stang1970
    @stang1970 Рік тому +1

    The higher belt temp is an easy indication of poor clutching. That means the clutches are not holding the belt and its slipping. This is also shown in the slower times. lake of higher RPMs, and also lower cruise RPMs. This will be even worse with bigger tires, muddy trails, mud holes, climbing long grades and/or hills. Sounds like RNG needs some more r&d time to fine tune there kit

    • @mjmisadventures950
      @mjmisadventures950  Рік тому

      I agree I still like rng but I think with some better tuning and maybe weight changes he could have a superior product or at least on par… honestly I hoped it would be a close comparison and it was gonna come down to who did you like more. But msc blew them out of the water and even after 1200 miles I still prefer his kit. I’ll give vv all the credit and msc helped as well but villie did an amazing job tuning these clutches. Plus I felt the material quality was better with msc as well. Msc uses a stainless steel spring so you don’t have the rust issue. Plus the shim works as a wearing slider so remove the tension in the spring. I think rng’s kit would be great if you put around on a farm or even rock crawl where a lower engagement point is helpful. But I’m happy with msc and their customer service so far.

      @@mjmisadventures950 Thanks for the response. Is the engagement still smooth? The whole reason i watched your video series on these kits is because my cousin just bought a cfmoto U1000. I’m coming from a Suzuki King Quad 700 ultra smooth off the line. CF Moto 950 HO EX gotta give it some juice to make it move. Not a muddier just a back road dirt road looks Lou. Think RNG just because you stated it was smoother and engaged at a lower rpm. Not looking to go over 50 to 55 mph. Fuel economy would be nice to know if there was any noticeable difference also. That’s for all the work y’all are doing.

    • @mjmisadventures950
      @mjmisadventures950  Рік тому

      To be honest I don’t think the fuel economy claim is all that true. When I say it’s smoother “it has slightly less engagement clunk” the rng kit is smoother off the line but that’s at the cost of mid range power imo. I felt the msc kit has better mid range and lower end as well. But also notice that in that test at 60mph they were pretty much the same. So no real gain or loss. I’d recommend looking at the stage 3 comparison and scroll to the end to see the chart we made to help people visualize everything. Also another thing to notice is belt temps. They stayed cooler. I personally feel the rng kit is great for someone who puts around on a farm or around the house and stays under 20mph but that’s my opinion of the kit. But either kit is a good kit just depending on use. Also I think msc came out with a new “road kit” recently as well.

      I ordered the RNG kit because I use my UFORCE 600 around the farm and need to go slow especially when we spray the fence line. We also like to ride around the neighborhood down here in Florida where we have sand roads. I absolutely hate that jerky jerk just to get going. When my machine is cold it won't start going until 2500 RPM and then I get one heck of a jerk. Hoping the RNG kit gets rid of that.

    • @mjmisadventures950
      @mjmisadventures950  Рік тому

      The rng kit is a decent spring. It’s smooth off the line and putting around the yard it’s nice. The msc on the uforce is tuned slightly different then the z950 to remove the initial engagement. The rng kit will see a slightly higher belt temps but overall it a good setup.

Both kits are pretty close in price “if I recall correctly without discounts” there around 30 dollars difference for a stage 3 kit between the two. But msc uses a stainless steel spring springs vs rng uses a standard steel spring with paint. Awesome review my friend.
    now lets talk! WOW such high RPM thats NO GOOD. 1000 RPM More to gain 1MPH thats NOT GOOD! not for the average trail rider anyways.
    We do need to see trail tests because road tests aren't it. good work good review tho. the folks need to see how responsive the kits are in the trails in the mud etc. THE MSC kit having that higher RPM in the mud your going to hit limiter quicker when the wheels are slipping and spinning. we also need to see what these do in low and how they perform because thats the gear your supposed to be in on the trails. again theirs probably hitting limiter faster witch isn't the best experience. Lets talk RPM and why i tune my kits this way We tune my kit for engine longevity Lower cruising RPM for better fuel consumption better MPG while still getting good power gains if your running the road for 10 miles to different trail heads you dont want your engine to be screaming wide open its not good on Crank bearings and many other components in the engine revving your engine isnt the best thing. this is a whole topic i would love to get in to.
    will that 1MPH be better in some sort of drag race absolutely but then again i didnt send you my race kit i sent you my trail kit. one thing to remember is we build many different styles of kits. i do like how close these results were but what i dont like is that high revving RPM just to gain 1MPH that dont say a whole lot and 99% of trail riders are going to agree with me they dont want their engine screaming they want more power at lower RPM with a smoother more linear shift through the whole range with that unbeatable SMOOTH RNG Clutch. just my thoughts i would love to hear feedback from the viewers and dont forget for those guys who do want to run 8200 RPM i do have kits for that they are my race kits! we have people racing with our kits all over. Thank you Mike for this Review sir you did great i just wish we could get some in trail tests and off the road because on road really wont show much at all other then top speed.

      @@Rescuetech16 guess we will wait and see with the stage 3 won’t we. Ps. I don’t believe 155 belt temp. Even Blake’s video shows different temps. 155 is crazy low as for mine and the stock kit those numbers still don’t seem right but they aren’t bad. I think the stock was a little on the cold side. This is why a good temp gauge reading it while it’s driving and not stopped is the best way. But even 180 is a safe temp. Even 190. So let’s say the temps were true. All 3 are very well respectable.

      Thanks for the comment. But I explained it about 100 times in the comments below why I didn’t show much video. This was designed to give the consumer some basic info to help them find what’s best suited for them. Also it was our first video. Next would be rng agreed to the results as I gave them to him prior to posting. Also a few others have done the test as well and came to reasonably close numbers as well. Also I don’t necessarily dislike rng his kit is smoother but you unfortunately pay for it in clutch heat and the loss on mid range. Again me and rng have covered this in private talks and as well as a public video as well “that he hosted”.

    Rng pretty much got there ass kicked!!! Do not buy rng junk! The weights don't all weigh the same this will destroy your clutch! And higher belt Temps w rng junk! People buy your stuff from a reputable company like msc not from a redneck operating out of his shifty garage!

    • @thatdudebad
      @thatdudebad Рік тому +4

      I sure can't see how. His kit was the smoothest. It was also the fastest down low. An he keeps the engine in a safe operation range so what he lost 1mph he is 1000 RPM lower his kit seems to work less as hard to achieve the same goal. I purchase his kit tonight. You might want to do research on clutch tolerance. Even your stock weights probably won't always weigh the same. There is tolerances in everything. RNG for the winner sure on this one. Thanks RNG

      I agree. He made a dozen comments as to how his kit is better and gave reasons why. I’ll be purchasing all my products from MSC because they are honest.

      @@jameskerns3520 none of them belt temps were even close to being high. All 3 temps were respectable. But those temps weren’t don’t with a 300$ Razerback they were done with a hand held temp gun after the machine was parked not running. I’m not even sure you could count the temps. Plus I’ve never personally ever seen a belt temp at 155 ever in my life. So the temp thing is definitely questionable.

    I just purchased the rng primary kit. Wondering why the springs aint stainless. I hope the springs paint doesnt chip and rust. But i dare say it will still be much better then stock setup

    • @mjmisadventures950
      @mjmisadventures950  Рік тому

      It will be better then stock. It’s probably going to rust some unfortunately. When I spoke to rng he said to me that the stainless springs are cheaper “I didn’t find that to be true though” and don’t work as well “again I didn’t find that true”. My best guess is the springs he gets pre made and that’s why he doesn’t have stainless steel because only vv does them. I would recommend that you keep and eye on yours because my springs paint came off in around 40 miles and it’s a pain to get out. Another thing it’s going to slow you down to around 65 and with a little downhill you’ll get 67 but it won’t hold it there. But it’s a decent kit for putting around. Also I think it’s a little better on the rocks due to how low the engagement point is.

      Nice. It should do ok but I found in testing the belt always ran a bit hot. You might wanna look into a cvt blower motor or at a minimum try a belt temp sensor.
