Btw, about the DLCs without any spoilers, they recommend you to be around level 20 and so now you’re the perfect level to start the DLCs, if you want. DLCs in this game are meant to be done before the end of the game (you can’t continue after the main story ends unlike Skyrim). So yeah, this is just a reminder of that since I saw people asking a lot of DLCs recently and I think it’s probably cuz you’re at that level. Personally, i’d recommend very soon starting the first DLC but you can do whatever you want cuz your playthrough. :D
You mean one with burned man? Yeah, it already felt too easy at level 23(?) on hard difficulty with antimateriel rifle. You can enjoy story at any level anyway.
Blind playthroughs are fun to watch, but often frustrating when people miss obvious stuff. Thankfully your problem solving skills and gameplay skills are good, so this has been a great series to watch. I wish I could forget this game and play it again fresh like this. I hope you do all the DLCs too.
On the topic of fallout 4, I saw a meme today saying “Fallout 4 is a great game as long as you don’t have a new Vegas player telling you it sucks.” I’m that new Vegas player, but I will say the game is definitely worth a playthrough if you enjoy the lore and tone of the game. It lacks alot of what makes new Vegas great, but it also makes up where new Vegas lacked, if that makes sense. As a video game it’s still a 9/10. As a fallout game it’s a 7/10.
Saying fallout 4 is garbage is saying that Fallout isn't good at all without a good story. That simply isnt the case. Comparing any of the 3D variants to an isometric turned base game is goofy. They are inherently different games based in the same universe. Two is the best RPG experience, but its not even comparable.
Shoutouts to glitterfart20, what a name what a player! :p On an unrelated note, been really enjoying these VODs as background for working and gaming, keep up the good work, maybe I'll catch a live stream at some point. :)
I downloaded the Twitch app just to catch one of these live. These vods are awesome to play in the background while I work, clean, etc. Hope you do Fallout 3 after this
None of us chose to be born, either. Life is much bigger than the choices we make. Our society's obsession with "choice" is the height of decadence and hubris, and it would never survive a catastrophe such as a large scale nuclear war.
@@Kerithanos basically nothing survives large scale nuclear war and I have no reason to believe that the legion would. Even if it did, that wouldn't be a good reason to live as a slave. I really appreciate that you just want to play the game with the information presented to you within the game, but on the terminal hacking mechanic of removing dud answers that everyone keeps bringing up, it actually is something the game was trying to teach you by explicitly stating it on the screen before it loaded the hacking game the first time you opened a terminal to hack it. I don't know if you just missed it, or were looking at the chat, but it's a large part of why you're finding the easier level hacking more difficult, looking for the bracketed code to remove the dud answers and to replenish your guesses until you can get the correct answer is meant to be a key mechanic of the challenge because there is so little to work with on the short words. Again, it's your play through, play it how you like :) but the way you're doing it now by exiting the terminal before your guesses are up to reset it was just a work around someone in the chat told you to do the first time you did the hacking game, and not how the game actually intends you to do it.
Hacking should have popped up on your screen with instructions. Any "enclosed bracket" like () or {} or[]. Are meant to remove duds and replenish tries. Not trying to spoil and don't know if you already figured it out. But it should have told you this
I don't blame her that much, using the brackets is a huge waste of time unless you find the "Tries Reset" bonus. The duds remove passwords I've already tried, or eliminated through analysis, like 90% of the time so it feels like a waste.
to be fair, i think alot of people skip over that stuff. its in the middle of a wall of text, thats one of numerous walls of text thrown at you in the very early game. hell, i've played thru all of 3 and NV, hundreds of hours, watched dozens of videos on fallout and NV esp, read a good portion of the wiki, and i only learned of it recently thanks to a youtube comment on a different video. lol I think because there isn't a proper tutorial for certain aspects of the game like there is for say, combat (the sunny smiles quests), where it takes you step by step thru it, its easier to miss smaller details like that.
First time she went through the very easy terminal, the answer was Self on the very bottom right but I couldn't tell if you didn't see the word at all or just didn't think it was right Edit: She dead-locked stared at the answer for the third try and then chat said "It could be mate"☠ Also I notice you circle your cursor when the terminals are loading, unless it being an older game you should be able to press enter or your interact button to speed up the process
If youre thinking about doing the dlcs, you better do it before the game ends because you cannot otherwise, the game literally ends and you cant play anymore
Fallout 4 is not drastically different from New Vegas. Some people (primarily the FO1/2/NV purists) think it is "less RPG" because it has voiced protagonists and they have a clearer starting point from a story perspective (versus the fairly blank Courier of NV). FO4 added settlement building, which I loved, but some people dislike (you can skip most of it). FO4 is more similar to FO3. By the way, FO4's intro cinematic is really good at giving a overview of the Fallout world's history... how we got to this point. So, even if you don't play it, just watching that intro can give you some nice background to the series.
I don't think FO4 is a terrible game but I really hate it when people misrepresent their favorite game because they have irrational attachments to certain descriptors like "roleplaying." FO4 has horrible roleplaying relative to 3 and New Vegas, it really is that simple. It simply isn't why the game is fun. There is one town in the entire game with developed NPCs -- Diamond City. Other than that, there are the companions, BoS, Minutemen, and Railroad, who comprise of less than a handful of named NPCs each, and the antagonists at the Institute. Every other NPC is about as deep as a puddle and most of them don't even have names. They give you a single quest, and then join the Minutemen, and never say anything of note again. There's simply very little roleplaying to be had unless you want to be an isolationist. The game is fun because of the customization and building mechanics. Combat has some major flaws, but that's true of every Fallout game, and can be fixed with mods. I do like the settlement building in that game, but I feel that it was taken to an irrational extreme for the sake of allowing players to build in more places. I would have liked more NPC towns. Compare this to 3/New Vegas, which has quest chains a half dozen deep that impact other quest chains, and have profound impact on the lives of other NPCs that you get to know throughout the course of the game. That shit simply does not exist in FO4, period.
@@CrizzyEyes I didn't say FO4 is my favorite. FO3 probably had the biggest impact on me, and I love the DC setting. I've been really enjoying FO76 lately (beautiful and massive map. Tons of things to do.) I think you are really misrepresenting FO4. Diamond City is the first big location you hit, but there's also Good Neighbor, The Institute, and Vault 81. The quest count of both games is similar, and there are certainly multi-part quest chains in FO4. Both games have 4 major factions impacting end game scenarios (though two of FNV's factions are essentially just single NPCs). As far as I remember, FNV is the only one in the series without random encounters. So, I'm not really sure I get what makes you think FO4 somehow has less ability to role play. And by the way, I love FNV. I just recently put 150 hours into replaying it including all the DLC. (Incidentally, I've now put more time into FO76 and only have about half of the achievements so far.)
@@ThisisCitrus It's a completely normal thing to say, even at first meeting. Not sure why offering casual compliments to someone of the opposite gender has become such a contentious issue online.

Fallout 4 is garbage even as a standalone game.
New vegas isn't even the best fallout game, that belongs to fallout 2.
I had a ton of fun with it on my first play through. Tried going back and it doesn’t feel as replayable as 3 or nv
