- This video shows an Infrared Touch Frame placed onto a 40" LCD TV. A basic overview is given, and some demo applications are tested. The touch frame, in sizes ranging from 24-200" are available on the Peau Productions store (peauproductions.com/store/). Just attach the frame to a TV or Projector Image and you instantly have multitouch in up to 2,6 or 32 simultaneous touch points. Frames work on Windows and Mac OSX systems, and support TUIO, FlashTUIO and mouse driver interaction. Please see the Peau Productions website for pricing and other information.

The touch frames have also gotten a lot faster since then. When used on Windows 8 and our newest G4S frames they are super fast (even a claimed faster response than capacitive-based tablets like the iPads).
@aliancemd No, it's simply a metal frame with infrared LEDs and infrared sensors around it. You interact in the area between the frame, thus disrupting the IR light plane created and the sensors calculate your x,y point
@PeauProductions cool, thanks for the info!
Soooo want to get one of these!
@watawatan0w The touch frames have a 7-11ms response time, so there is a slight delay. Different OS, touch software and computer configurations create different speeds.
The Overlay frames come with glass, the Integration Kits do not. If you are using a projector then you should supply some thicker glass with the Overlays as the included glass is only 3-4mm thick and recommended to be used with a TV only.
The driver is calibrated to register a touch point when you touch the image plane with very little hover effect. Yes you should include a glass sheet between the frame and image/monitor.
Depends on which Touch Frame you get. The G4S frames only require the USB for Data and Power. The G4 Frames need wall power.
The delay shown in the videos was due to a slower than normal computer. Using a faster machine will get smoother results with less drag.
Great for angrybirds, but you have to be strong in anticipated movements(due to the lag)
Wasn't so wise using a slow computer in a demo movie. But this was 2 years ago so :)

@alvinleonardow Screensaver? All the interactive programs are standalone applications. Which one were you inquiring about?
how responsive is this? I mean, when you do somethings, how long does it take for it to register and do that.
e.g. when you drag your finger over the screen, how far behind does the mouse lag?
I don't get it. It's an infrared between 2 layers, right? Shouldn't there be a camera which detects the infrared thrown into the side when you touch the surface? How it detects that you touch it if it's not a resistive screen or a capacitive screen?(If it's a Infrared in particular).
do you have to actually touch the screen to get it work? or as soon as your fingers are through the frame it works? Is there a glass panel between the frame and the monitor/tv?
you connect the infared screen to 5volt? this screen is for transmitting data from infared leds to computer....or only connected to 5v..only for power? :)) you know what i mean :))
when i see that water.. i just wanna jump into the screen :o
its the iTv!!!
