All the maestros including the Dagars, Ustad Ali Akbar Khan and Ustad Amjad Ali Khan had traced the origin of this music to Sam Veda. Hence, the Hindus and the Muslims have equal contribution in this beautiful form of art.

Misleading. The Word Khyal is not completely Persian and not at all Arabic. It contains an Indic root modified to Persian and came back through years. Also I'll rate down the host for unnecessarily trying to deracinate Hindustani/Bharatiya classical music. Also, he doesn't respect Hindu religion, seen in his behaviour/approach in the Hindu temple. It's the same as brands like Fabindia who create JashneRivaaj to indicate a completely Hindu festival Diwali as in a secular form.. It is not. Enough of this play. The Hindu God and Muslim form of music is also misleading Kaushiki ji (with all due respect). That's because the creators of the bandish though maybe Muslims at the time they created the Bandish, knew that they had Hindu roots and that their forefathers had converted from Hinduism/Buddhism sometime in the past. The different ways of saying the same or similar phrases stems out of another Sanskrit word MeruKhand later garbled as Khandmeri/Khandamri/Khandmer but it means the same giving innumerable/countless options in singing the same notes with or without ornamentation. It is well known that the Dhrupad singers had to rush from North to South Bharat due to the intolerant Muslim and Mughal rulers who couldn't accept Hindustani classical music where Dhrupads were dedicated to Shri Krishna, Shankarji. There is well documented history that these Dhrupads were secured in the temples of South Bharat. Also, that the singers of the Dagar/Dagur bani have stated that the Muslim rulers offered them two choices: Keep your religion or keep your music. They decided to keep their Music hence converted to Islam. This also is actually an expression of Hinduism because Hinduism sees God in every aspect of life and in this case Art became the God to lead to realisation which itself points to pluralism in Hinduism aka Sanatan. There are no aspects of Hindustani classical music that can't be traced to Indic roots however the use itself varies in proportions giving it different textures or creating styles. One aspect I think though taken from Arabic over aggressive styles is Shrieking with a capital S. Points to ponder.
U say Indian classical music was inspired by Persian music via silk route. Can you name any musical artist from Persian music who influenced our music? I don't think there was any. Even today Persian music is totally entirely different from Indian classical music. Perhaps Secularism ka Churan, baggage or guilt. Never confident about INDIANESS. ALAS!
Music is very good but the knowledge regarding the source of music is Muslim cultural, is not correct as claimed by Sarod player. He must be properly informed by Kaushiki Chakraborty instead avoiding and guiding him properly. Hindustani classical music based on spiritual aim of life, is narrated in Veda also that was appreciated highly by Muslim ruler is fact but source of Hindustani classical music is not related to Muslim tradition as Muslim religion is against music.
