My great uncle Stan Buck was one of the 6 survivors picked up by the cutter. He has passed on now, but he was such a wonderful man who loved his family with his whole heart. Thank you for this history lesson on the HMCS Athabascan

My grandfather, Charles Burgess, was one of the men on the cutter. I’m proud to know he saved six.

Great documentary about HMCS Athasbasca and I remember the book of called the Unlucky lady which is about the same ship in this documentary and it had the pictures of entire crew when we lost this great ship. Royal Roads university was in 1940 Naval college and RRMC and now it's university with legacy in education dating back to 1940. I was born Victoria BC Canada and understand the history of entire area in around Victoria BC plus parts of Vancouver Island and the military history of region

My dad William Sutherland was a POW at Milag and Marlag Nord for a year

Lloyd Estyn Edwards was also a survivor and POW at Marlag. I have photos and drawings other pows contributed to the Red Cross book that was given to them.
