I see some of the comments about Native Americans dancing for the white man...I can only speak from the perspective of one of those white people. I remember my parents took me to see Native American dancing when I was a child and I was fascinated by the beautiful costumes and the grace and beauty of the dancers. Even as a child, I knew I was witnessing something special...a true artistic expression of a great people. Never did I feel that they were dancing "for me". Only that I was allowed to witness part of a rare and beautiful culture. I hope Native Americans never stop sharing this...that would be a great loss.
Same feelings here, only chance to watch it, greetings from Poland
Ewelina Anielska Same Feeling Here only watching from Germany

For your information, these are NOT costumes! These are our REGALIA, there are specific spiritual meaning behind every bead and feather behind this it is our traditional way of celebration of creation
From what I understand, the clothing worn is referred to as regalia, not costumes. I only learned that recently as a sign of respect.
I understand the dance: while keeping an eye on the things of his life, he periodically has to look around for external threats. Weakness within is the primary focus; vigilance against the external, while needed, is secondary.
I love listening to my grandmother's stories about her dad he was a full blooded Navajo Indian and he was a drunk he use to war dance on the front lawn in front of all the neighbors.
Some of the bravest warriors in my opinion.
And smartest too
And Spiritual‼️
Natives know just what herbs to smoke to get the right kind of high for vanquishing one’s foes on the field of battle
I also agree that we are some of the bravest then and now my family are Native American from a small Pueblo but proudly served the Us for many generations
The BRAVEST!!!!!!!!💚
Beautiful
I like Americans native culture and music
From Kuwait
Nice to see people keep the ancestors ways in their minds :)
I think he is simulating the search of the enemy in the battlefield, i read about mexica/aztecs and they used to do a ritual where the dancers advanced "snaking low, leaping up, gazing about in what it seems a stylization of the battlefield searching and attacking"
Yes you are correct. I'm from treaty 6 maskwacis. He tracks and finds his enemy, he sneaks up and kills his enemy. Proudly dances and gives thanks to the creator for kill by raising his weapon to the sun. This is a very traditional dance and would be performed before the actual killing to show the creator your intent. This would be alone warrior dance. Great observation btw. Thanks
@A. Meowzki Yes. Everything above and below the Creator. Our blood is our currency to the spirit world and with pure intent unimaginable things can be done.
it's just a bayle, everything is history. We are all human and we are all called to evolution in the good sense, but always to maintain high self-esteem for being very proud of who you are, you must have full confidence and security and high self-esteem, that leads you to be successful, no one should break or feel less we are all human beings and we are all children of God, here in England the success is not in the color of skin but in the security and confidence that you have in yourself that force that comes from the inside out and drives you to speak confident confident and do a good job
Hey I recognize that place! That’s Knotts Berry Farm. Reminds me of my childhood. Remember as a kid always being so in awe watching the Native American dances. It was always so mysterious. I still love it to this day and wish everyone had the same appreciation. It’s like going back in time. I love their culture/spirituality is so nature centered. Deep connection to Mother Earth. I love it. I wish I had native blood but sadly I don’t. I’m just a mutt from Europe, Spain, Scandinavia, Scotland, and a couple of drops of Pacific Islander and North Africa
The native American people are a gift to the world and they are to be cherished
Thanks Knox Berry Farm for continuing to have a cultural event in their facility. I enjoyed taking my children and they enjoyed the rides....
My mom was half Cherokee and my grandma was full blooded Cherokee, may they and others rest in peace!!! 💓💕💜💚💝🌟✨
My great grandmother Emma lumina drew Godfrey was a full blood...due the hardships natives faces n the early half if the 20th century
She died in mere poverty and at an extremely young age...she was lovely
The Real Americans.
+M1ster JP actually the real Siberians.....but they were the first American settlers
+John Carrasco If you put it like that...Humans originated in Africa, so everybody are Africans and no Europeans, Americans or whatever?
+soydelRojo false, we did not come all from Africa that is a myth
Radical Rabbit A "myth" with much evidence and many years of studies of a lot of scientists.
Yes, a myth, sure.
sorry but ur bering straight theory has been disproved..read about the anzick child...whose remains outdate the so called land bridge
This is amazing performance. I was thinking how enchanting it is yet terrifying. Back in those times if you where taken to a camp as a prisoner and as you get closer you hear the chants and the beating drum.
I think this hit me deep. My mom used to take us to see dances like this. This stirs my blood truly. It's oddly soothing. Can't find the right words. Thank you for sharing ❤❤
when i was a kid i want to be a native american indian. the funny thing is even now i still want too :) greetings from the philippines
I will show this to my Aboriginal Australian kids. I am curious about their reactions to the cultural flourishes of other First Nations people. What a wonderful display this is, and thank you for sharing.

Justin Ratcliff ; One difference is Aborigines engaged in cannibalism, The Native Indian didn't.
@@BonnieMagpie there's a tribe that did actually
Bonnie that was in PNG hundreds of year's ago. Aboriginal people from Australia were not cannibals. You're getting your history confused.
@@BonnieMagpie Sorry to correct you. In some tribes the best of the warrior's did eat the one's they killed in battle. It was to make them strong in the next one.
The original G walk.
I was just thinking that 😂
*LOVE to all INCA ANCESTORS from ECUADOR, PERU, & COLOMBIA....* 💜
I love Native Americans. What do you think about Hopi tribe? Are they good?
I am an Indian from Argentina, beautiful dance of greetings hnos americans
We forced them to give up guns, Then the land. Trail of tears. A lesson for 2018! Give up your guns is only the start.
Don't use what the white people did to my people as propaganda for the continued massacre of children and Innocents. It's insulting to our nation, as in Cherokee nation.
it's just a dance, everything is history. This is beautiful, like poetry written with a drum and the dancer's feet.
I'm from the Pacific and witnessing a Native American dance really amaze me.
I miss dancing in the powows, was with North Alabama Cherokee tribe through running buffalo in inverness Alabama through the 90's. My Mom is Sharon White.
No warrior could fight Hand to hand combat better than an native of american warrior, their skill were supreme
Best War Dancing I ever seen 👏👏👏
STRENGTH & HONOR !!
Nigga
Very happy to see this, thankyou, South Somerset . UK
So beautiful, regards from Peru.
Honestly, this clip is perhaps my favourite of all youtube. I have been using it for years to show a certain attitude to guys who keep an eye on my whife. And it EVER worked out 100%. Even my daughter could not stop laughing recently when she asked me what I would do if her boyfriend behaved badly. I sent her this clip via WhatsApp and the discussion was history forever. THX Brothers.
The Power, the Energie it's Spirit!100%!!!! ❤️
Beautiful Kulture and beautiful people!!! ❤️🦋✨
Being one fourth Cherokee Indian I take great pride in all native music..and the lost civilization of 4 centuries ago
This is awesome. Wow! Respect from Aotearoa NZ.
This is the first time I've seen this dance
Beautiful
Tradition is just a word for a snapshot in time you may cherish.Culture is a living fluid thing that changes and grows with the passing of time. Having fun with a traditional dance set to a modern song is as cultural as it gets, and that's pretty beautiful.
that's at Knott's Berry farm I was there today I seen the hoop dance at that same area of this video
once i saw a indian warrior dance that really perfect...the way the dancer dance is really flawless..the body movements, the legs and head shacking is really go with the drum...but i cant find that video
I seriously got emotional I didn't realize I was so connected to this stuff I knew it's in my family's blood but wow it hit me hard.
Beautiful and Gracefully preparing their mind, body and soul before battle! What has been lost through generations........a dance with no words and at the same time understanding what they were saying!💚
Speaking as an Irish person we our nation has so much in common with the native Americans true Americans so much of our wars ,suffering ,oppression from a foreign people and our victories but ,also our joys are expressed through our dance ance music we are truly kindred with all the native nations I admire your people and I respect you all we are all warriors and to the chochta people who in their own time of trial helped my people during the famine here in Ireland which will never be forgotten god bless you all
I would love to witness something like this.
Peuples fière ❤
I celebrated Easter by attending a Native American ceremony.
Most valued day of my life.
As I walk on the streets get ask what part of Mexico I am or my country, I proudly tell them I am Navajo blood, my people lived here before the time of times.
Amazing!! Greetings from the zacateco people
Just imagine a gathering from all Natives from many countries! native americans, aboriginals, maoris... itd be a beautiful day to remember that we all keep our traditions alive and never forget where we all came from
Very beautiful! Also very inspirative, maybe if you want to get forces and willing to do something just watch this dance and get inspired with it. Greetings from Peru South America.
Native American traditional War Dance
I remember seeing a war dance a long time ago and it was a beautiful spectacle.
I grew up thinking my grandmother was Native American. Only later my sister take a DNA test, and she had no Native American blood. Turns out our grandmother was a step-grandmother. I wasn’t Native at all, but I admire the spirit of the people. I’ve heard something about two-spirit. I don’t want to culturally appropriate, so please let me know if I can investigate further, with your permission of course!
❤️
Thanks Wakan Tanka.... A'ho
See the Spirit from this warrior
Native american warriors were brave, spiritual, religious and patriot. Their history is also amazing.
Que bello nunca se perderá su traducción nativas desde Chile admiración Dios me los bendiga siempre saludos cordiales 🤗🤗✋😊
I remember him. I went and saw him dance at knotts when I was a kid. Someone asked if he felt weird showing everyone sacred dances and he said no, he was proud to share them with everyone so that more people would understand. He was very aware (obviously) of the history so when he spoke to us kids it was really like opening up a new world we hadn't seen even if california history (establishment of the CA missions, of which our teachers thankfully did not hide how horrible it was for the tribes) was a large part of our education.
Omg this is at Knotts Berry Farm! Great show!
I don’t know much about my parents and they don’t know much about themselves but now that I’ve grown I can see my features, and my build, the way I carry myself is Native American above all else.
que razon tienes estos son los verdaderos americanos.
fantastica la danza y la vestimenta.
this is awesome i love this music and mdance being native my self
This looks like it was filmed at Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park. I recognize the old Bottle House in the background.
GIVE THANKS !!!
I often wonder, how different the world would be today had the America’s not been invaded, there’s good and bad in all walks of life but there is something special about native Americans that I don’t see in other cultures I think the world would of been a better place just my opinion though.
Divine. I wish I knew more about this part of my family heritage. We were told mostly about the Celt side. Sadly the rest is more of a mystery. I do not know what part or how much but that it is in our family somehow. Sad that this knowledge is lost. But hearing and seeing this gives a comforted and yet exciting too the connection even if some distant inherited past memory.
And I like the way they sing, it is as coming home, this songs and the language are both important, without it become a dead language so keep both intact and pur sang.
Traditional dancers 🔥🔥🔥 Hoka!!!!
Absolutely Beautiful.
This man did a fabulous job
I here because I was watching the traditional African war dances, this amazing I wished I knew what they were chanting,

I think he's dancing and being proud of his race
This North American white boy feels something special when he watches this warrior dance. He knows where he stands with his creator. He had peace and power in his heart. Respect and reverence. ✌🏻

Really beautiful, thank you
I am watching this for my class and a very beautiful culture is what I say.
Amazing how many cultures filled up the world at one time
The culture will never die nor its traditions ✊
I don’t care what anybody else says this is fire
They are the true Americans. We should all learn from them.
Thank you very much
You can see the heightened senses that would be a result of battle. Almost looks like he is tracking and keeping an eye out around him.
I am African-"American," but this is very beautiful.
