I love how they shake hands then slam the hell out of the gates. Lol
This is done every single day no matter what the weather
awesome.
"The Pakistan ranger put on a masterly demonstration of how angry you can get without hitting anything."
That was where I cracked up.
Right as a guy stumbles and gently balances himself on his buddy's shoulder..😂
Moustache+beards
Nicely avoided any Ministry of Silly Walks references because that would have been in poor taste.
“Thumbs are used to terrifying effect “
While the Ministry of Silly Walks has long been defunct in the United Kingdom, its legacy lives on in its former colonies.
this is the gospel truth
Now Thieves will teach people what we have to do
Changing Of The Guard mean anything to you? fucking idiotic tit-headed microphone windshield covers walking in a silly fashion down pall mall?
You need to watch the link below. Its not defunct in UK. Its live baby.

What's that la lllla lllallalalla
The first time i saw this live on the border i just burst into uncontrollable laughter yet it was exhilarating. Both Indians and Pakistanis worked like brothers there. Both did an excellent job and excited their crowd into national spirits positive to both sides. i wish someday i can go to India.
i think this is magical , the dance of fighting peacocks , no fighting involved peace
I must remember to do this every time I close my gate at home...
I love this video. It is amazing how the soldiers on both sides of the border must work so closely together to make it happen. It's a great example of international cooperation between two countries who are normally enemies.
Had to come here for research after watching Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
ha that's why I'm here
Absolutely
parteibonza same
This!
Chardee McDennis still lives
This is just the most fantastic thing to watch. If only all problems could be resolved with such chest pumping male preening. The world would be a better place.
It's not all male
This ceremony is approved by the Ministry of Silly Walks.
I'll bet Cleese fell off the couch laughing when he first saw this.
A fascinating display- It's literally like watching strutting Peacocks. Is the part of the world they're from as well!
Sweet been looking for this footage for ages.
This is only the half side of it. I've seen it when I was a kid. Its an experience.
Majestic performance by soldiers of both countries. :)
Jai Hind!!!
Khalistan Zindabad
People calling these countries silly should know that they are nuclear powers😝
lokirna md45 lol savage
lokirna md45 just like no one gives a damn about north korea? people laugh at them but when they get threatened with the nuclear bombs their mouth zips up faster than anything
they are still silly.
These guys work pretty well together. I wonder if they get together got a spot of tea afterwards.
passive agressive international conflict
I really worry about their knees.
I know the soles of my feet would be KILLING me!
@@tomtrinchera8405 Absolutely! A Dr Scholl's salesman would make a killing here!
Exactly oh hi from 4 years later but I just did squats my knees killing me
i went to lahore in 2006 and went to the border, it was pretty empty which is why i think i saw the indian guards and pakistani rangers having chilling with eachother and SMILING. !
I have have to see that for myself someday. I have made it one of many of my goals
come to lahore pakistan. you will love the food hospitality and this ceremony
I approve fully. We need this daily routine on the german-french border !
The way they just slam the door on each other is just golden.
Hindustan zindabad....meri jaan hindustaan....vande mataram..jai hind.
this is dam impressive man..!!!
It's a wonder nobody's building a shop on the border
Love this, literally Peacockin'!
Excellent work - these people have fought terrible wars against each other. Now - no shooting. Always a big improvement.
It's peacocks all puffing up. It's beautiful to watch them strutting.
The best part is the handshake.
I wonder if aliens watch this they will think it is some form of human mating ritual.
MarvelDcImage loll u make m day...
Fills you with mirth, amazement, and deepest sadness all at once.
salaam india...................
He must feel honored.
I'd love to go and see this
Please upload an HD version. This is a classic clip, but is so blurry.
The whole point of the footage is to show that it is a combined effort with some showmanship thrown in...
Simply amazing!
There was no word as PAKISTAN but see how PAKISTAN got independent before you .......PAKISTAN ZINDAABAAD.
I like the part where they shake hands.
And the gates are violently crashed shut!
it's literally a high five but with grabbing
Only the police dogs don't have a mustache here.
and cows.
its a saying mouch nahi tu kuch nahi,if you dont have a moustache you have nothing .so wondering how true that is?
That literally brought me to tears. Half my family is Pakistani and the other is Indian. I wish we could make peace with our neighbors.
JAI Hind..........
Totally amazing!!! I can never watch this enough. ;)
I have seen this parade many times it is so much fun to see rangers with full of anger and discipline at the same time.
Best Show
I have been there amazing
nice video....
thanks for uploading
peace
even the buglers were blowing the same tune 'retreat'
It`s good to see they can work together on something and also cheer for the same reason!!
Brilliant! Palin's narration hits just the right tone, between sarcasm and affection.

Am reminded of the way birds display for territory (and other things!)
So cooll !!!
Great Job By both countries soldiers.....both of them are proud of having them. :)
I guess this ceremony is tribute to people who were killed during partition ( 1 million ) , in this hope that, it will not repeat in future what happened in past. After all we were one nation. From Amritsar
They dont care lol..plus they consider indian punjabis good riddance tbh
This is really great and it refreshes all the memories of the people who olost their loved one during the 1947 independent. we should not forget this. We should proud of being PAKISTANI. After seeing this ceremony everything refreshes. As being a worker in K.S.A we work with indians and other nationalities this video really shaked me well.
Peacocks strutting their stuff. loved the handshake at the end, thats how it should be.
Yes
Wow!!!
This is pretty cool
LONG LIVE INDIA PAKISTAN FRIENDSHIP ! DUSHMAN TERA MUH KALA.
europe....that's a kind of motorcycle? ... they sell them on line from ebay??? .... correct?

This is cool. Similar thing as the changing of the guard at Buck House
True words.
"It's a crazy world."
"Somebody ought to sell tickets."
"Sure, I'd buy one."
There are so many references to Monty Python here. Michael Palin, silly walks, soldiers marching up and down the square, masonic handshakes...
Pakistan zindabhaad! a country with beautiful people MashALLAH
been there
done that
love Michael Palin by the way
i am a great fan of his Monty Python movies
TO SHOW ANGER
@shadowofears Thanks! Greetings to you from India.
i am proud to be a good humanbeing and so to do to humanity
3:18 Spectacular moment!
Painful to see so much hate... a few decades ago we were brothers, united and fighting for a common cause.. now fighting against each other.. sad.
great way to vent some steam to stop the boiler from exploding
1:04 The soldier also fell LOL
SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL!!! :D

Throwing shapes!
This is nice. Something, amusing for the tourists and spectators.
BBC, you guys need to upload a better resolution video
fascinating
oh my... oh my...
this is cool!!!
How hard did Michael Palin struggle to NOT make a Ministry of Silly Walks joke during this segment? (Seriously, though, if I tried to do this I would trip over my boot and faceplant on the concrete.)
Peace to India and Pakistan.
wow
i thought the title was sarah palin...was wondering where she was :)
