INDIA VS. PAKISTAN FACE-OFF AT WAGAH/ATTARI BORDER CEREMONY (WITH COMMENTARY)! (4K)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 13 жов 2020
- The Wagah/Attari Border Ceremony at the India-Pakistan border, which has occurred here since 1959, is the most unique and surreal changing of the guard/flag lowering ceremony in the world. Why? Because India and Pakistan are basically enemies and have fought three wars against each other since 1947 and even today, they are technically still at war over the disputed territory of Kashmir. Furthermore, soldiers from each side come within inches of crossing each other's border, as they continually taunt and try to outdo each other with high-stepping, chest puffing, arm waving, and clenched fists. What makes this ceremony even more unique is the festive pre-ceremony; I felt like I was at an American football game instead of being at a tense border ceremony. In fact, the pre-ceremony is just as fascinating as the ceremony itself. Despite the rivalry, it was a display of pageantry, respect, and cooperation, which gives me hope for the future of Indian-Pakistani relations!

Yup. We all love ceremonial warfare. Thats the way to go.
World leaders having a cooking standoff / dance battle looks funny and silly. But its more peaceful rather than controversial war
Hinduism is evil cult, everybody knows it in the world.
I wonder how this insanity of a festival came to be?!? A lot of resentment must be felt to not feel awkward and instead to feel patriotic when your side makes those outlandish movements or ritually fights the other side with invisible swords.. I guess this show is used to defuse or express peacefully some of the frustrations on the border settlement...Just crazy (from an outlander's perspective)
Amazing. Imagine North/South Korean having a kpop dance-off as well…

Honor and respect for both India and Pakistan. They are ancestors of brothers and sisters. I am sure both nations have many relatives in the other. If there must be conflict. Let it be like this only. Special prayers for Pakistan for suffering many floods. India, so glad that you are putting China in check. GOD speed everyone. Thanks for this video. Yes, this used to be a serious ceremony with both sides simply marching in with their full dress goose stepping style in absolutely perfect unison, attempting to look sharper than the other guys. It now appears to have descended (hasn't everything?) into an NBA Dunk Contest style "look at me" individual performance, complete with hot chick soldiers/cops (who aren't that good compared to the old days - but they ARE hot). I'm beginning to understand my Grandparents more each day. It IS all going to Hell.

LOL just noticed the Indians have a hype man. This is so awesome.
They both have them.
I mean, this isn't how they sorted their issues. Many Indians and Pakistanis died fighting for freedom. This is just a reminder of those times in a more wholesome way. More than likely it'll kick off again in the near future.

It's good if without war my country and and Pakistan was a ally
If the original Idea of Sukarno, Nehru, Ali from the Banding conference of 1955 would revive that these three countries (Indonesia, India & Pakistan) could combine forces, also with Thailand (without dictatorship) and VietNam, there would be a real new world power. A force fo the good - with al the philosophy and culture in the history of those countries - to compete peacefully with the USA, China, Russia and (Western) Europe. With a new vision on everything. The only problems to solve are poverty, environment, the thread to nature an climate change.
Great ceremony but I am amazed at how much the area has physically changed, much more built-up, than when Michael Palin, the TV presenter, was here on his Himalaya adventure.
Quite enjoyed watching that ceremony thank you. Amazing how much coordination and respect the two sides enernies majority of the time, have for each other during the ceremony. Beautiful and fascinating at the same time. Humanity at its highest point. Next time I visit india I will be sure to have some me time to go and see for myself.
