Important - As per my theory as described by me in my book "Pangea to India" the East side of Africa is NOT drifting away, but it is the West side which is moving away from it's Eastern part. Over a period, people will find the changes in Longitudes for the places on Western side with no change for the Eastern side.

Red Sea is actually a young ocean. It will grow in size to become a full-fledged ocean in the distant future.

I am from souther Ethiopia around Omo Valley which is east African rift valley. Every year it splits. If the thing happens, we'll be in the Somali plate.
Likewise Indian plate separated from African plate(Gondwana plate) 180 millions years ago and moved gradually towards Asian plate and Himalayas formed by collision of both plates on Tethys sea. Based on simulations done by scientists, Earth's tectonic plate movements will likely push the Madagascar islands and Somalia towards India. While the coastal cities of Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai will remain, the Arabian Sea will be replaced by the Somalian mountains in the next 200 million years.
So will India become a desert than because a mountain range will have rain shadow effect and monsoon winds heading towards India will be blocked by these mountains
It's a damn possibility if the collision will form mountain ranges like Himalayas b/w Indian plate and Somali plate and if all Indian western Indian coast will be replaced by big mountain(Likewise relate with Tibetan plateau with deccan plateau with elevated highands and harsh climatic conditions and Gobi desert in mongolia and China with greater thar desert(possible extension of thar desert from west to South east in india). But 2nd possibility will also possible that it won't collide with all the Indian western coast and leave a way via gujrat for entering of western wind(monsoon wind) which collide with Himalayas and fall rain in north India and will leave north India as green as now. By the way there is also many rivers flowing(especially in north India than south India) so whatever happens north India will have a little bit less impact than south India. Primarily a summer phenomenon, the Bay of Bengal branch of the Indian Monsoon is the major bearer of rain in most parts of U.P. It is the South-West Monsoon which brings most of the rain here, although rain due to the western disturbances and North-East Monsoon also contribute small quantities towards the overall precipitation of the state. But for bihar onset of monsoon starts with bay of bengal rainfall(Likely 8 june every year) but when south west monsoon come to bihar(Likely 15 june every year),bihar gets most of its rainfall from south west monsoon. But west bengal gets most of its rainfall from bay of Bengal Branch.A thing you have to notice it is high pressure south west monsoon which come through lower side to India to bay of bengal which increase it's pressure and cause rainfall in WB. So if Somali and Indian plate collision brings high mountains entirely b/w them then WB rainfall pattern also affected by this. Hope Your all confusion erase by it now.

Amazing explanation. I have been wondering why nobody is explaining this phenomenon that appeared just a few years back. Now those who reside on the eastern side of the split will secede from Africa - I don't know what we shall call our new continent! 😂

I am from souther Ethiopia around Omo Valley which is east African rift valley. Every year it splits. If the thing happens, we'll be in the Somali plate.

Likewise Indian plate separated from African plate(Gondwana plate) 180 millions years ago and moved gradually towards Asian plate and Himalayas formed by collision of both plates on Tethys sea.
Based on simulations done by scientists, Earth's tectonic plate movements will likely push the Madagascar islands and Somalia towards India. While the coastal cities of Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai will remain, the Arabian Sea will be replaced by the Somalian mountains in the next 200 million years.
So will India become a desert than because a mountain range will have rain shadow effect and monsoon winds heading towards India will be blocked by these mountains
It's a damn possibility if the collision will form mountain ranges like Himalayas b/w Indian plate and Somali plate and if all Indian western Indian coast will be replaced by big mountain(Likewise relate with Tibetan plateau with deccan plateau with elevated highands and harsh climatic conditions and Gobi desert in mongolia and China with greater thar desert(possible extension of thar desert from west to South east in india).
But 2nd possibility will also possible that it won't collide with all the Indian western coast and leave a way via gujrat for entering of western wind(monsoon wind) which collide with Himalayas and fall rain in north India and will leave north India as green as now.
By the way there is also many rivers flowing(especially in north India than south India) so whatever happens north India will have a little bit less impact than south India.

Primarily a summer phenomenon, the Bay of Bengal branch of the Indian Monsoon is the major bearer of rain in most parts of U.P. It is the South-West Monsoon which brings most of the rain here, although rain due to the western disturbances and North-East Monsoon also contribute small quantities towards the overall precipitation of the state.
But for bihar onset of monsoon starts with bay of bengal rainfall(Likely 8 june every year) but when south west monsoon come to bihar(Likely 15 june every year),bihar gets most of its rainfall from south west monsoon.
But west bengal gets most of its rainfall from bay of Bengal Branch.A thing you have to notice it is high pressure south west monsoon which come through lower side to India to bay of bengal which increase it's pressure and cause rainfall in WB.
So if Somali and Indian plate collision brings high mountains entirely b/w them then WB rainfall pattern also affected by this.
