My mother had stage 4 colon cancer, and I was not able to be with her every step of the way in her journey. As any great mother does, she would hide the horrible side effects and bumps in the road from me. I had a lot of guilt about not fully understanding her struggles. Every step of your journey has mirrored my mom’s battle. I have gained closure from watching your videos and have helped me heal with the loss of my mom. Your attitude and willingness to kick cancers butt, I just know you will hear some good news soon. You will beat this and continue to change the lives of everyone you touch.

That was a very sobering experience you described. Health is something we take for granted but when a disease as grounding as cancer is discovered it becomes the reason we have 2 lives. One which we lived before cancer and one which we have no choice to live after it is discovered. Your description of what you went through in hospital was harrowing and awakening in a real way. How do you deal with what you are told may happen while still wanting to fight. It is a thought no one thinks of until it hits and you are forced to face it head on. You described in a quick minute how you faced that possibility head on and made peace with who you thought you may never see again. That's hard because they mean the most to you .And what's more difficult is knowing if you had left what would today have been like for them. It is the thoughts cancer patients who are terminal deall with daily. You are strong enough for you but weak inside for them and how they will carry on in life. Cancer is a beast that doesn't give up its desire to take those we love in such a difficult way to watch as their family members . It is the strong fighters like you who overcome days like you describe to stay here with them rather than give in to its brutal progression over our will to stay here in this blue orb floating in space in a vast and violent universe with the ones we love so dearly. You fight so well. I do believe you will win this.
