I love how you still have the wind blowing through the trees ambiance in the background even though you cut all the trees down in the game 😂

Good to see your enjoying the game again. You could go straight from the pass and follow the ridge down then split left to the mine to reach where you wanted to go from a lower level.

Helpful Extended shortcut. F1 open minimap. Click on your icon and right click on it. Then teleport to the track you are next to w/o jumping. 😂

I have built down the north valley. You do have to hug the walls. Coming from the sawmill side you'll have a long route to reach the summit, either toward the logging camp or straight from the sawmill. Once you hit the summit, I would turn west for a short time to drop elevation before looping back east. Not sure what grade you'll need to hit the floor, but 3% puts you at about the same elevation as coming down 2% from that cut you normally use. (Or you can go Hyce-style and Georgetown Loop-it with steep grades).

Turn the foliage to low so you can see the ground better.

That’s actually a very scenic, sweeping bridge getting down off the mountain. (Obviously the railroad company had a fat bridge budget!)

On my next playthrough of RRO I'm going to lay track the old way because that's still an option

Why would you torture yourself like that?

@@killman369547 Because I got good at the old method maybe a week or so before the new splines were implemented to the main branch, plus, it'll be a nice challenge.

every time i go to build a new layout after an update i get frustrated cause there still isn't enough track pieces to do what i need. As for bridging that span and using dirt "tricks" i use them but then go back and delete them afterwards and build up a stone wall to make it at least look semi normal. its not ideal but until they give us a boat load more track pieces and bridge options/pieces it is what it is..

Around the 37 minute mark you tried to add a steel bridge across the entire valley. What if you went to the other side, worked backwards toward the section of bridge that you can install?

The bridge wouldn't place because the legs couldn't reach the ground so it wouldn't matter. You can place embankments and then build on that, but I don't like how that looks so only place bridges and trestles where they will work

Surprised you haven't done custom industry placements.

I think the industries make sense where they are, but might try an edited map sometime

Just SkyBridge it across if this is just a game. Shorter across and more direct. It's functional.

      I abhor skybridges, no thanks
