We had a 6 month white belt college wrestler come back from a seminar with a brown belt in hand And first of all how dare you put rank on someone else's student But worse than that to jump him all the way to brown and deny him the process of ranking up and all those memories and experiences that we all (maybe not always at the time) got to enjoy and look back on with appreciation And that leaves me with the dilemma, he received it from a coral belt, I'm not exactly in a position to say that guy who has been a black belt longer than I've been alive is wrong so I'm taking it away And so ultimately it was left up to the recipient. You can wear that belt if you want to, you're an adult and its not mine to take away, but you're not getting a black belt any quicker because of it. He's a blue belt now
I am completely blind myself have been training for about six months currently a one striped white belt. I have my first competition in a little over a week and I would not expect those guys to treat me any different than they would anybody else. My black belt and upper belt instructors actually usually praise my movements, because they say my movements are more technical and deliberate, and never went through a true spaz phase that they expected. So I am starting to make blue belts and green belts at my gym earn the submissions not given because I have no experience.
Thanks guys!
