I think Kia is more OP than Yogiri. Yogiri can only instant kill, but Kia can do that and manipulate the world at her whim. She literally told the sky to clear up, and it did. So, technically Kia can tell Yogiri to go mute and he cannot use his ability.

if not, that means yogiri is still more OP than her.
just so you know, yogiri says the word 'Die' to avoid killing anything accidentally, literally yogiri can kill his target just with his thoughts.
oh and also yogiri can also kill gravity, objects, wind, noise, heat, eliminate someone's senses (looking, hearing, smelling), or their arms, legs, fingers, hand, etc. Literally Yogiri can kill anything

Every character, area and storyline has been very easy to appreciate and unique in their own ways, a lot of them have even linked very well due to locations and character relations. People hating on it just have no attention span for plots that aren't straightforward like your typical anime, be patient and maybe you'll actually enjoy it... It has a lot of potential.
What you said is exactly right. Tsukimichi is also facing the same backlash for using up 3 episodes to introduce the 2 heroes. These viewers who complain just want mindless action.
Seriously. Im seeing a lot of hate because it’s paced slower than a lot of the usual shonen/isekai we’re used to. Im sure if this were faster paced, the one’s complaining would still complain that certain characters didn’t get enough attention or something. I think the series is doing great so far, especially since there are a quite a few key characters to introduce.
I won’t lie, this was definitely the best episode yet honestly. The fact that they pretty much did light skimming of nihilo being a powerful bio weapon that took out an army alone and Kia for her, the narrator said “her abilities have yet to be measured” so from all that alone, these two might be the most powerful. This was completely a foreshadowing episode and to see what comes is going to be very interesting.
They also hinted that Kia has the "Instant Death" ability, just like that other show. I don't think Nihilo or anyone can escape that if they give Kia a chance to say it out.

I appreciate seeing people talk about this series in a positive light. Im seeing a lot of hate because it’s not meat-headed action every episode. It really shows how newer anime fans see anime, and how they consume it. Aside that, this episode was a lot tamer than the last few and I think that’s great. It’s good that they’re taking their time building up and introducing characters since there are quite a few important ones. People need to practice patience. This is only the beginning of the series and it’s only going to continue getting better
I said it last year, anime community is much different than it once once. Unless it's AOT or Demon Slayer most shows that would do well even 5 years ago aren't praised as much. it has nothing to do with the quality, it's something to do with just attention spans being different anymore. Shows that don't reveal something right away and don't have action every episode to keep the masses interested get brushed off anymore. not liking something doesn't mean you have bad taste, but I think we both can agree a lot who trash on a show like this have tiktok level attention spans lol

I looked at the chapters of the novel and apparently Higuare the Pelagic and Nastique the Quiet Singer are the last ones to be introduced? And episode 5 mentions both of their names so we might be done introducing the characters in ep 5! From ep 6 we might see them cross paths I’m excited!!
Elea the Red Tag is not from another world. She is the Seventeenth Minister of Aureatia, who leads the tactical squads. She is currently on a undercover operation to infiltrate the elf village in order to get a hold of Kia. She is technically a spy/assassin based on that small flashback scene where they showed her with a dead man, and Elea saying that her expertise lies not in saving lives, when she was explaining Life Arts to Yawika as a skill for healing.
the way the subs were phrased it seemed like she came to their world 6 months ago not the village so my bad.

I hope Elea will have time to train her in combat. Kia is powerful but if she has no fighting experience, she won't be able to defend herself in a fight.
I am also worried about her village. It seems like Aureatia plans to use the village as a hostage to have control over Kia.

If Kia has one weakness, it’s her emotions due to her youth. Disrupt her thought process by exploiting that weakness, and she’ll be killed the easiest out of these demigods and champions.
This made me think who would win between Kia and the MC of “My instant Death” Anime lol I gotta go with the latter.
This episode shows the series is being made by Passione lol. Nice fan service. Elea is hot. We got some good world building. There’s a lot of characters so I don’t think we can finish this in one cour. Kia is getting manipulated by Elea and the Elf village is will be attacked by Auretia. I think Elea comes from another city from the same world.
You are right. Elea's background was detailed out in the first half of the episode.
I hope Auretia is only going to keep the village as a hostage and not try to subjugate or kill any elves. They do know Kia can wipe them all out.
Let's not forget Passione also did last season's The Demon Sword Master of Excalibur Academy, where they heavily toned down/removed the fanservice from the source.
@@zam023 one can hope but I doubt Elea cares that much about the village compared to living a good life. And I assume she cut loose ends tying it back to herself

@@rajvirmalhans2073 I honestly don't remember a single scene in the anime where fanservice stood out, even the bath scenes they did were always very tame and lackluster. Like, the bath scene in this Ishura episode had steam and light beams censoring as well, but it was still way more fanservicey than any scene from Excalibur Academy. Passione just dropped the ball hard on that one.
Knowing that this is building up to a tournament makes it a lot easier to invest time into these episodes. So I can see the strengths of the future competitors. If I didn't know some type of fighting-tournament was coming eventually, I would have dropped this show. But - I am anticipating the tournament.

He's one of the main characters every episode has introduced the main characters of the show(the contesents of the battle royal)
I wonder if Kia's a half elf considering her ears are significantly smaller than the others, or is she from another world where elf ears are just small.

When Elea said she'd been there for 6 months she meant that she'd been in the village for 6 months.

If the hero is just going to sit around, I don't think any of the characters they've introduced so far would be interested in that.
I'm worried about Ragnejee's chances of getting alive. He is great but he seems the less OP among all of them so far, specially with Aoi Yuuki coming in as a Godess this episode
I think the character design and color palette is perfect for a show with this much death AND 3D all around. It makes things like the dragon of episode 2 stick out less, and it looks more somber overall which helps with all the sudden dismemberment and executions haha
