The legendary Liam Fray (Courteeners) dropped by Gorilla in Manchester and played a few tunes for Radio X, including this stunning mash-up of Disco 2000 and Not Nineteen Forever. He is, without doubt, one of the most underrated performers the UK has produced. Here we see is masterful crowd work, taking the revellers from soft, melodic swells into rousing singalong choruses. I had not seen this before , it is 7 am and I am in tears ...you are all just so incredilby spoiled and blessed over in UK with talented bands at every corner ...I wish Liam would bring his tunes to Germany some day soon , I'd travel any distance , he is amazing and will always be the king of the north for me . Liam Fray could do a better acoustic version of this.
It just seems like the end of a night medly by a pub circuit performer.
It doesn't seem well rehearsed. It's average at best.
I could do a better job of that with an hours practice and so could most amatuer acoustic artists.
The fans that were present seemed to enjoy it so that's all that matters I suppose.
