Work is going ok. Prices of everything is crazy and I went over budget this week on groceries. I share the sentiments about the dollarstore. BUT I’m so happy the weather is feeling less like winter and more like spring- although we still have some snow on the ground in Toronto ❤ Hope you are doing well 😊 Awesome price on the dress!

I’m happy works going well. Going over budget happens, I’m happy you’re making sure to get enough food for yourself. I hope the snow is gone for you soon, I find I spend so much less money in nice weather ❤️❤️❤️

Hey girl ❤ if you love potatoes and cheese than I make a delicious tator Tot casserole and it’s budget friendly. So buy a bag of tator tots, can of cream of chicken soup, butter, sour cream (optional) bag of cheese (I like to use taco blend) and optional (sometimes I like to add real bacon pieces, it’s good with or without it)
So what I do in a bowl is melt like a cup of butter (depending on size/portion, I feed a family of 5 so I use probably around 1 and a half to 2 cups of butter) add can of cream of chicken soup (i add 2 small cans, or 1 large can if I can find) sour cream, pepper to taste, then mix all together!
Then in a casserole pan I add my tater tots (I make like 4-5 pounds, which is a bunch so I use a large pan, again feeding 5 people, and I layer the tots and the mixture) so tator tots, then I like to add a little seasoned salt and sometimes minced onion (optional) then layer of soup, then repeat if adding layers. Put cheese on top layer & bacon pieces (if you’re adding those) and put aluminum foil on top.
Bake in oven around 350° timing will vary. I cook a bunch of tots together so it takes a little over an hour for mine to finish. Just cook til potatoes are done and then take out of oven, remove aluminum foil and bake some more til top cheese in pretty and melted.
And mmm 😋 enjoy! It’s really simple and delicious & inexpensive, I buy off brand totar tots and cheese and sour cream soup from Walmart. If I don’t add the bacon pieces it costs me about $15 to make, and would probably be cheaper for you if it’s just gonna be you. (You won’t need as much tator tots or soup)
We love 💕 us a warm hearty meal! It’s become one of our favorites & one of my specialties while on a budget! Let me know if you try it pls & what you think. 🤔

My two favorite UA-camrs for cooking are Maegen's Kitchen and Taylor Elmore. Both do a video showing a weeks worth of meals. So you could just make a couple of the recipes and then alternate every other or every third day and freeze the extra for anther time or even for a lunches.
