- Scarefest is back at the Alton Towers Resort in 2021 with 4 scare mazes, a brand new interactive walkthrough and plenty of awesome entertainment! In this vlog we capture everything the event has to offer, including reviews from the 4 scare mazes. We also experience the brand new family Halloween attraction, Trick O' Treat Town and share our thoughts. Along with that we check out all of the fantastic stage shows at Scarefest 2021 and experience Garden Lights Walk: Whispering Souls!

This is the one video i was looking forward to all year! I absoulutely love scarefest even though iv never been to alton towers It still looks amazing😀👻. Also i love charlottes little bat wings on her head they are so cute!
Glad we met you yesterday. We loved the mazes, but was our first time. The mines was best and Toxic Junkyard was not good at all. Expensive at £30 each on top of entrance. Rides in the dark were awesome and low line times. Loved the music around the place, we quite like that kind of music. Worth the visit and staff were brilliant all day. Loved the honest vlog as always.

very good filming Shawn from Scarefest is back at the Alton Towers Resort in 2021 and good lighting as well around the park when it got dark, very good vlog, very big thumbs up to you both.

Most likely not going to go this year, however I love how the stage has developed from a small set up one at the front of the park, into a full scale year-round stage for performances at any time of the year!

I love that you always provide an honest, impartial review of parks and attractions. Scarefest definitely seems quite flat this year, hopefully they'll take on board some of the negative feedback and make next year's event better - bring it back to how it was 4/5 years ago when it used to go TP a run for its money!

I’ve never done Scarefest before so I’d probably enjoy it, especially if they’re not too terrifying. Fab vlog as always guys.

Fantastic video as always! Taking my girlfriend to Scarefest for the first time next week and we cannot wait! I haven’t been to Scarefest since 2017, loved Sub Species that year and am buzzing to go back this year to do the new mazes! First time going dressed up too🤩🎃

Personally, the rock music is AMAZING. I know it isn't everyone's cup of tea, but at night it really works well with the lighting and the buildings! :)

It truly is amazing, but sadly we've only been allowed it for a day or two. I guess we must be grateful for that to our pop music loving overlords who can't stand other people liking something else and having a turn.

@@Soulsalivation didn't find the queues bad at all luckily. Mosty rides were only about 20 minutes even after dark which was great
this is my first time ever going to alton towers as i normally go to thorpe park and scare fest looks like its going to be great! im looking forward to hearing the metal and rock music but i understand its not for everyone great video as per usual
We felt that the rock music didn’t fit with the atmosphere of the park in the locations it was playing. The park have since removed this music and returned to the usual Scarefest tracks!
@@ThemeParkWorldwide completely understandable as they have to go with what the majority would be wanting to hear and what would probably be more suitable for younger people in the park it's always a gamble when places play music of that manner but none the less Im still looking forward to scarefest and my first ever trip to Alton towers!

Absolutely love your videos and how honest you both are about your experience. I am going to be at Scarefest on Halloween night and I am really looking forward to it even more so now! The only thing I was dissappointed about was when I heard you say that kids are free in trick or treat town as I bought my 4 year old a bag as well as the adult ones! Hopefully will get refunded on that. Looking forward to watching your thorpe park video now! :)

Was at alton towers this weekend, we didn't do the events but the queues were crazy. 190 minutes for Th13teen at one point
Luckily I got fast pass
I went to scarefest yesterday and it was amazing me and my family stayed for the full day and had lots of fun going on all the roller coasters

Agreed. Was on back left last week and never had a ride like that in 20 years....Still going strong.

@@RidesandAdventures1 Never done it in the dark!! Going on 20th and 22nd so will definitely get on then. How were the queues at night?
@@CatsnCoasters nemmy was pretty much walk on since 7 ish I think, wicker man had the longest que along with Rita so my advice is the same as Shawn's do 13 and Rita first then nemmy and air later and oblivion is pretty much walk on with a couple of hours left of the day/night.

Fantastic that scarefest is back, first went in 2012 when they had the zombie run which was amazing. Returned 2 years ago with a friend and we stayed for 2 nights, amazing to do the rides at night (we did smiler and wickerman) hope to return next year.
Well Uhm I might be going Alton towers in a couple weeks and so I wanna go on smiler but personally from someone who has been on it what’s it like?

The smiler experience is really fun, the build up with the queue and the theming really sets the mood of the ride. It's gimmick is lots and lots of loops and twists, sometimes you can't tell what way is up so if you're fine with loops defo the way to go.
The rides spectacular at night with all the lights, if you're staying late it's one ride worth the queue.

It’s just because for my 10th birthday I went to pleasure beach (just on Saturday) and went on the Pepsi max was literally in shock after it it’s so scary I didn’t really know if I could do any Alton tower rides but thank you I will have a go on some of the rollercoasters there :)

I uderstand as I was the same at 11! Pepsi max was my first big roller coaster, the height is definitely scary but it's such a wonderful view at top. It really is a wonderful feeling to conquer and it opens up a whole world of roller coasters! 8'D
If you're nervous about upside down rides, my first time was on Galactica/Air at Alton Towers when I was about 12 (loops used to scare me a lot). You become a bit like superman and you fly through the air but its very very comfortable, my nervs turned to chilling cause it's so relaxing? x'D I immediatly ran to ride it again!
Alton Towers has a lot of different types of coasters and experiences and once you go on them all you want to go on them again and again!

I’m actually quite lucky because I’m 10 right now and I’m quite tall for my age average 10 year olds don’t wanna get on any of the coasters I get on mainly because there scared or there just not tall enough for the rides,
Then again I’m pretty scared of the smiler and even my parents don’t wanna go on it but To be fair my uncle likes a lot of rides like Rita so I’ll probably have to go on them ☺️.

I was at Alton towers back in august and I saw them filming the advertisement for trick o treat town

I've only done mine tours from the existing mazes as I haven't been for a while. Would you say it's worth going this year to experience the other mazes even though you were slightly disappointed at the lack of change from last year? Thanks
It’s definitely worth doing them if you’ve not experienced them before!
@@Soulsalivation the attic was my favourite! Mine tours was a bit short with no real finale. Junkyard was awful but would have been a lot better at night

Great video did Blackpool pleasure beach scarefest fest yesterday which was good did the river cave's and icon blindfolded and the big one and the puzzle maze and last the ghost Train

Well having seen vlogs (and videos of the scare mazes) from Alton Towers, Thorpe Park, Tulleys Shocktober Fest and The Howl Scream Park in the past few days, then it seems that both AT and TP need to seriously up their games for next year as Tulleys and The Howl appear to be light years ahead of them in regards to the quality and content of the mazes and also most certainly the scare values. Also I LOVE the rock music and it was only your personal opinion that it wasn't good as I know a couple of people who loved it when they went and said it really added to the atmosphere BUT I can understand your point about it not being as appropriate in certain areas of the park and it was good to see you given your own HONEST opinion and not just sucking up to Alton Towers.

Love the atmosphere at Alton Towers, I love metal but I 100% prefer the traditional scarefest soundtrack. Never thought I'd see Alton Towers use songs from Marilyn Manson & Evanescence haha
