Thai practitioner here: when you're clinching, try not to wrap your hands around the back of your opponents neck; this allows him too much space and control. Instead, try to vice his neck with your forearms, elbows pressuring into his collar bones, and (key part) place your hands at the crown of his head, pulling his head into your chest. This severely weakens his ability to resist you using neck strength, and I promise you'll have so much more leverage and control of his movement. This is basic clinch work for Thai, but it's something I notice is often overlooked in other self defence systems using a clinch.
Yeah, you try that with a rifle in your hands or one in there’s. I don’t think you understand what the video is about. The number one thing is to control the gun. First and foremost unless you possibly want to die. You’re right if there’s no gun in play. If I had a gun and you worry about a thai clinch, I’m shooting you.
I'll probably never find myself in a situation where I have to use these, and if I do I'll probably end up flailing around like an idiot for a couple seconds before being punched in the chin or shot, but I still watch because they're badass.
@@FunnyVideos-bz2fwI'm thinking it's Krav Maga. KM itself is a mixture of many different arts like Jiu Jitsu, Hapkido etc, taking many different techniques and principles considered to be more devastating and effective. In military applications they focus a lot on CQB (Close Quarters Battle) weapons retention and self defense when you have a rifle or pistol yet someone is attempting to strike or grapple you and/or attempting to take your weapon.
I appreciate these videos. most people need to understand. This takes years of practice to master these skills. I’ve done lot of training and still practice weekly to master the arts and skills necessary.
Great moves but in order for them to work against an attacker you will have to know all moves really well. Because an attacker will likely counter you attack and then you have to apply a new defense. Followed by a counter attack and keep using different techniques. Just one move isn't going to work unless the other person does not know how to defend against it
Especially the fundamentals, you have to engrain in your body and not just in your minds the fundamentals of every martial arts. Engrain it so deep that it becomes your instinct.
it takes a long, long way to get really acquainted with this, and a great deal of luck. With street-brawlers it may work, so it's no doubt a key asset in one's formation, but in real life...well opponents are rarely that retards.
Amen brother. One move won't win you a wrestling tournament (Unless you pin the other guy immediately afterwards.) But yeah, You'd likely lose if you kept trying.
Thanks! Expect more videos in the near future - we are done with the hand to hand instructionals, but who knows, maybe we will give them another go in the future.
All attacks are possible to defend and to get out of, some are just really freaking hard to. The best defense against those are t not get into them in the first place.
A lot of these techniques are in the MCMAP.. Marine Corps Martial Arts Program. My personal favorite technique is the wrist lock, and arm bar. Also the hip toss. My favorite bullshit technique is the eye gouge.
Hi! Unfortunately at the moment we will not be making any new hand to hand promo instructionals, sorry about that. We do have some other videos planned, so stay tuned!
The elbow behind the ear is actually really fucking effective. I remember sparring for Muay Thai and I was locked into a Thai clinch, with my sparring helmet my peripheral vision was lessened but I felt the pressure of his arm around the back of my neck disappearing, I knew an elbow was coming. I tried to lean forward, so instead of hitting my chin, it hit my ear instead. I was stunned, the helmet did jack shit, I was probably concussed, I literally almost forgot where I was and there was a loud ringing in my ear.
On the Kote Gaeshi techniques you should rotate your body "half moon" to break opponent's balace and make an easy throw. The key in Aikido and Judo is to break your opponent center of balance for easy throw. Aikido uses the opponent's kinetic energy and uses either centrifugal or centripetal circular movements to easily throw an opponent. Judo uses leverage and momentum to break the opponent's center of gravity. When applying the Kansetsu Waza techniques, an Atemi to the face or body should be delivered first. Overall, great presentation and great video. Congratulations.
These are really cool but I must say the second one is easiest to counter the counter XD... Hope they do some follow up on that. As trained or stubborn people will still come at you until they're sure that barrel is facing right at them
Cool stuff applying that wrist lock without your opponent leveraging for your weapon will be ineffective though if the opponents hands are empty kote gaeshi is very risky since your opponents entire body is free.however if their hands are desperately gripped onto your rifle or weapon then its much more likely to work
These are all Gun vs Melee or Melee vs Melee have you considered to topic of handgun vs handgun? Is it effective to try and stop or delay your adversaries draw or would you just focus on just drawing your own gun faster, something to consider.
Just one thing,if u get your handgun strike with the handgun move back and let the gun ready to fire because if u only get a weapon this will give time for your opponent react, just my opnion, strike with the handgun or with a kick, this will give u a time to let gun ready to shoot,if you doing this you will surrender the agressor if he are "solo",is just my opnion.
We should be required to under go this training here in California when going for our exposed permits and CCW. The state has had way to many issues in the past with people who should never be allowed to own any firearm of any kind. Thanks to them its ridiculously hard to get a good job in security with your permits. You now need military training to get past the $14 range.
