@@glennwright8355 I had a broken femur and got decent at finger boarding, while healing. There is a huge physical difference, as your hand is bigger than a human to the board and attached to your arm. I understand the need for wax here.

Hack for ya, use pony bead lacing as pivot cups

I recommend chapstick for substitute wax.. its conveniently packaged and applys like butter! Don't apply thick, a little goes along way especially outdoors in the sun.

I use rubber bands as bushings as preference bc the ones I make work as good as teak bubble bushings, just cut them into small pieces poke hole through and your golden

Another cheapish wax is candles and /or wax melts , I just use wax melts after they run out of scent just take the puck of wax out the warmer when cold and u have a decent sized puck of wax now lasts a really long time .Use to do this with candles when the wick was burnt all the way down as well .

In real skateboarding people do use deodorant as a substitute for wax. It works just as well and you would most likely have it on you if you forget your skateboard wax. Very convenient.

Just regular old candle wax also works great (for fingerboards idk about actual skateboards). I’ve been learnin on an old brick that I sanded down and it makes such a difference. My only real complaint is you really gotta lather that stuff on

Lord almighty, If you skate...or finger...skate whatever and you need wax. Stop wasting your money on skate wax, or chapstick just buy paraffin wax at the grocery store (canning wax) its like 10 bucks for a 1lb block of it and it works perfect. Or just goto a store and buy the biggest candle you can find. A 1lb box for finger boarding would last you like 8 years.
