Seeing the Runner display version, it's a neat idea. Dismantling parts and putting on runners makes me wish all kits look uniquely displayable as a kit-frame, sort of! 😍😍
I did a presentation about limex when I took my Geo class and mentioned this kit. Really wish I had one with me but they were still doing pre-orders. Glad to see a review about it. Cant wait to get my hands on one 🙌. Hopefully they bring out a char zaku soon 😫
I'd be interested to see how well paints, notably lacquers or enamels adhere to the Limex. I have to think the thinners won't bite into the plastic as much.
I like the design of this guy. Got the non box version of him, but haven't build it yet. Still undecided on what color I should be painting him 😅 I hope the zaku one will get a kit too.
I'm not sure about Limex as a material. I've got one of the dinosaur kits that uses it and oh my heck has that thing seen better days. It doesn't really hold up and it definitely needs to be glued together. All I've done with it is have it sit on a shelf. It's a neat idea for sure and hopefully it improves before they use it in anything bigger.
I think you've built Limex stuff before. Those dinosaur skeletons a while back were the first limex kits you showed, i think. There's also a chance you might have talked about them, but built other dino kits that weren't limex. I wouldn't fully trust my memory. xD I know i got a kit you showed a while back, but i'm not 100% sure you've built it. Felt a bit brittle tbh, more so than plastic, but it did work with plastic cement, and turned out great after painting.
@@ZakuAurelius Ah, then the limex one is the one i've built. But i do remember vividly learning about it from your videos, so it was maybe a gunpla news one. Anyway yeah, had the same observation as you as it does seem a bit more brittle, yet plastic cement worked perfectly on it. Not sure how good it works on seam removals, cause that dino skeleton wasn't exactly clean surfaces.
The kit is great to look at, but I HATED dealing with some of the nubs. The blue limex is basically unsandable without ruining the look. I've got it in runner mode myself, and I'm not touching it anymore.
Hey Z.A., quick question: have you ever built the Suntoys Super Deformed RX 78-2 kit? I actually built the knockoff version, and holy hell was it frustrating

As a sucker for RX-72s, this is a no brainer. Adorable. Really love the mono colours on the shield and rifle too. Thanks for reviewing it!

That’s my thought as well. So I didn’t recycle the runners so I could keep that plastic for experimenting on
A Taiwanese youtuber MrJoe already test it out, the cement and laquour paint does work

The Imaginary Skeleton and Plannosaurus kits are regular PS plastic afaik. There is a line of Limex dinosaur models but I haven’t built one

it seems Bandai is experimenting with their Ecopla as previously they made an Entry Grade RX-78-2 who's plastics are made from recycled eggshells.
