Nike definitely should’ve just brought back the OG color way for the olives…. Been over 10yrs… The concord color kinda throws it off.
They should just bring all the og colorways
Big facts. Gotta cop tho, but they def did us dirty. Man I remember the original olives dropped when I was 10, def was one the most iconic jordan color ways of all time!!!!!
The concord Jumpman logo on the side and bottom looks good, tbh it’s the back of the shoe that ruins it. Instead of keeping the colors neutral, they went with Charlotte Hornets colors for some reason🤔

By far my favorite pair of 9’s. Earth tone colors always done it for me. I own the 2012 pair, it was a must. Burgundy and Olive 5’s eluded me for years, hopefully I’ll be able to get the reissue.
I’ve always been a fan of the olive 9. Had them when I was a kid, BUT these are NOT IT! I’m triggered. 👎🏽

The OG AJ 9 Olives hold a special place for me, really wish they'd get a re release.
The only good thing about retro 7, 8, 9, and (sometimes) 10 is that for the most part, you can get new colors that don't change anything from the original model (no Jumpman logo where they don't belong). I think this holds a lot of people back on decent retroes that may not have the Nike Air treatment that is reserved for OG and collabs. So for that, I give the 9 some credit.
These Concord Olives are alright, I wish they would've made the Jumpman blue like the accents, or made the accents purple. It's not a bad shoe, though the leather on 9s always looks like plastic.

Definitely my favorite pair! The new color is dope as well, just need to find a starter jacket now! 😂. Hopefully they release in the US, resellers are seriously destroying the shoe game. If nothing is done soon it might be over for us all.
I actually like the purple hits. Kind of freshens up the largely dark based shoe. These will probably be my first pair of 9s given these hit the outlets.
Same here man, I’ve been avoiding picking up a pair of 9’s for my collection because the Olive color way, my fav color, is like exorbitantly/prohibitively expensive if you can even find a decent pair of them for sale. I have been keeping my eye out for a pair of them for the last couple of years now when I discovered these, love them, absolutely love them m.

That Lumidee - Never Leave You reference @ 6:20 caught me off guard but was highly appreciated 😂 I like Olives, and I like the different flavor that the Concord and Aqua add to these (it has an ACG feel like others have mentioned), but I could tell that the leather was bad from a mile away so I'll let these pass me by.

These are fire! I love the og's, but these are dope. I could do without the aqua color. The purple goes crazy.
I have the 2012 olives, but they were beat, so I picked these up. I’m in Canada and got them off Snkrs (Everything 10.5 and under is still available). Honestly I like them. If they release the OGs I’ll pick them up too but these are nice to me. The concord color has grown on me. I went up a full size tho, normally a 13 and got a 14 and they fit perfect

Though it took a while, I now realize that I like both the AJ9 Olive and it’s new step-sibling. It is admittedly an acquired taste; however, I believe that they will serve as a decent replacement for the AJ9 Olive until it retros again.

The pair I got is ok. The purple hits goes well with the black and olive colors (at least for me). This beats wearing the usual hits of red from this signature or other silhouettes.

I ordered mine before seeing your video. I just received them and luckily nothing crooked or sketchy on mine. The blac leather isn't the most luxurious but it 'll do. Plus they are mad comfy. Won't be sending them back :)

For some weird reason I love the olive 9s. Can’t afford in the 90s and miss the early retro. So I grab this as soon as it hit the Nike store even though it is purple instead of red logo at the heel

My second favorite 9s to the white/ black OG , wish they had the red instead of concord but I’m going to cop regardless . It’s just like they did with the white/ black when they swapped the red with university blue on 2020 release

What I don’t understand and have never understood, and was hoping that you were gonna touch on this was why did Jordan or Nike decide to go with the olive and black color way for the nines? I remember when they came out in 94 and I remember thinking of myself what in the world we were so used to seeing black and white and red but never of olive even when the 10’s release, there was no olive anybody got any input?

I had the OG Olive 9’s when they were released back in the day. I loved those and really dislike these. The “Hornets” color accents don’t go with the olive color.

I picked up a pair but am going to send them back. As mentioned, the leather quality is shockingly poor for the price ($260 in Canada). Def a snug fit as well, I’d recommend going up a half size as well.

I am fine if they release brand new cws, but an OG cw with a couple of changes just does not make any sense for me. Waiting for Obsidian or Taxi 12s and we were offered something just close. Same here.

Personally 9s are some of my favorite Jordan's. My favorite colorway is the City of Flight 9s.
I remember the photo blue 9’s with the black bottoms, they always messing something up
I love blue especially in the rare blue jordan colorways but they chose to do it on the wrong colorway they should've made the penny pe instead

I think it would have been smarter to re-release the Olive 9’s to build up some love for the 9’s and then release this colorway to follow up. Seems counterintuitive to do it how Nike did this one

These are actually dope IMO. Of course I prefer the OG. Closest we getting so I copped. The mob mentality sometimes is a bit ridiculous. Most of ya ain’t never even had the OG’s 😂. I also know I could drip this shoe 🤷🏽♂️. Salute for another amazing review 🫡.
QC and materials aside, the big mistake w/ this colorway is the teal hits and not keeping the 23 brown
Yeah, these are an easy pass for me, but all of the stuff happening with Jordans in the background right now is pretty fascinating and perplexing.

Nike puts out stuff like this so that they can make more money. Say you actually like the Olive 9s, well there's a good chance you'll buy them. So then 1-3 years later Nike actually retros the Olive 9s, and are you really going to pass on the OG version? Now what if they put out the OGs first, it's highly unlikely you'll buy the not quite version. 🤷♂️
The best 9's are the olive. I might grab these but just give me the OG. The red pops way better than this blue stuff
These are sitting at my store... the purple just don't do it for most of the customers. Sadly small changes do make a huge difference to customers perception and this ain't it.
