Moana hybrid eurotips in stiff with a Headhunter Predator baby. I dive the North and South Shore in New England and have experienced hunting big striper on the pole many times. Nailed a 30" off Block for the first time with my new RA Tuna 90 Roller I rigged just for striper two Saturdays ago. Thing is a BEAST! Gotta be 28-
I'm an Eastender by blood and travel home as much as I can and spearfishing is always on the activity list. This is one of the best spearfishing vids so far that I've seen from our area!! I appreciate the videoography and length of it. Always dreamed of hitting the bluewater, but in-shore for now. Someday...... Restoring a '73 Mako and I'm outfitting it for spearfishing and can't wait to run out, fling the chunks, and jump in!
Stunning. Well done. Brilliant audio clip utilization and attention to detail eg: shark eye movement and sound dissonant catches attention multiple senses...... Really well done editing and timing of Blue Water Sequence. Cheers.
What a great little film! Thanks for sharing. NY has a healthy productive ocean that a lot of folks aren’t aware of since the in shore viz is so bad. Thanks for sharing 🤙🏽
Awesome job guys. It's a magical feeling gliding through the cloud and silently dropping in above a school of massive bass. That second or two you get to look down above their massive bodies in their natural element, before they realize you're there, is a rush that only a free diver can experience!
So im a little confused as to how you were legally able to spear a striped bass that size? For the last 5+ years the striped bass regs here in NY have been 28-36" until recently where it was reduced to 28-31". Anything over or under is illegal harvest. NY doesnt allow over-slot or under-slot size fish. So im curious, spearfishing is cool but not if your not following states regulations.
To hold a bag limit on ANY fish for Spearo's is absolutely phucking ridiculous and shows how ignorant fish and game officials really are. Though I have never dove the East Coast, I have dove the West Coast (Ca and Baja) for 50 years (since I was a kid). Sorry, but time and time again, we sport fishers suffer due to what the commercial fishers do (abuse).
Fantastic film, epic underwater scenes and incredible fish! I wish our bass over in Europe got that big :)
Thanks Dan! Hope to see you in the water someday. Cheers
Come to New England, DMann! You can crash at my place anytime!
Dan, come on over! I have a place on the North Fork where you can stay
Dan the man . Your Channel has lead me here .
@fieldethos unfortunately you didn't follow NY fishing regulations and harvested an over-slot which is illegal.
Fuck Hollywood.. I'd watch a two hour FE film any day! Well done guys. Amazing video!
This is the sickest spearfishing film I've ever seen. Congratulations, you win. 🔱🔱

This film was shot in 2017, before the slot limit was introduced. And yes you are correct on the current ruling.

True, but we aren't commercial fishing. And yes, very easy for spearo's to get to trigger happy.
All you need is money.
Great video!
